  1. The grips are beautiful. Nice looking pistol.
  2. As of 2000 hrs on Christmas Eve we locked the doors at Ft Living Room. The Wife, I and the two children have been just hanging out and spending time together. Twenty months was a long time apart. I feel like at home again. It's a state of mind. We hope all had a great Holiday.

    FN SLP?

I got to hold one a few weeks ago. It was a very heavy unit. Seemed the weight was front loaded which made it feel unbalanced to me. It was a Mark 1 model. I made a trip to downtown Nashville because I thought I wanted one but passed on it due to this.
  4. I just looked at the Academy Sports ad that starts tomorrow. Weekly Ad - page 11
  5. My little Girl gave me a small brass hammer with some srewdrivers inside the handle.
  6. Need to look at the Cannon and Winchester safes from Tractor Supply.
  7. That's too much. I like it alot. That's a golbet for the King of his Castle !
  8. A group of us from High School in the 70's used to race slot cars. We were all building custom 1/24 scale. it was a little expensive back then. But considering what my hobbies cost now I might want to get back into it. We had a great time doing it.
  9. Very Nice. I'm going to need to utilize your service soon.
  10. Guy's, I've tried reading and the search function to no avail. I guess my Goggle-Foo is weak. 1) If I buy and register a AR lower for a SBR, can I own multiple uppers (SBR) (Different Calibers) to put on the same lower? 2) Can you put a regular length upper on a registered SBR lower? I'm looking to get the most bang for the buck. Build a great lower with interchangeable uppers. Thanks
  11. +3. You might add a ask the expert section
  12. I've got a lttle more to do. Before I had a Family my BFF and I would hit the stores on Christmas Eve. We always found really good deals.
  13. As of 12:01 am the morning I am a civilian. I have reverted back to Reserve status. I have been traveling all over the place taking care of America's finest. I helped take care of over 15000 Reservist from all branches, mainly Army with their reintegration after Deployment to war zones. This was to include their Families. It has been a long two years. We have done some real good things this past couple of years with new programs to help returning Vets, especially Reservist. I have had many Parents that serve from WWII through Desert Storm tell me that they wished these programs were available when they came home. So if any of you guys that have returned from this most recent ongoing war. PM me if I can be of any help. So now I'm sitting here in my living room waiting on my children to wake up(Scared). I don't have a clue what I'm going to do for the next couple of weeks until I go back to my civilian job. I guess I might need some reintegration, lol. I'm glad to be back home with my Family and look forward to doing some shooting and seeing friends from here again.
  14. Damn, no more " Rump Ranger Cadences" . Of course they haven't been sung in years. I took the survey. I've been at it 34 years and stated I don't care. I feel that most that I know that serve just want no Hoopla over it and business as normal. They are just tired of living in fear.
  15. I am sorry for you loss. There is nothing like the unconditional love you get from a cat or dog.
  16. "You never truly know a woman until you meet her in court" is what my attorney told me years ago. Make sure you don't go bargin attorney hunting if you have a lot of issues to be resolved.
  17. For availability I would go with the .243. I will be starting my Son out on this. Currently I only own one that is a heavy barrel, which is too much weight for him. I am also on the lookout for a rifle for him,

    1911? :)

Another one to stir the pot. You might want to look at the American Tactical Imports new line of 1911's. I bought their all stainless FX Titan model. It is a compact 3". I am very happy with mine and it shoots well. It has a very tight fit and finish that rivals some of my higher end pistols for under $500.00.
  19. +1 I have been looking at these hard lately. Quality build for the money.
  20. Nice build. What type of optics did you go with?
  21. I have used them before. Great customer service.
  22. Normally you just replace the upper and use a diiferent magazine for that caliber. I have a S&W that shoots 5.45X39 Russian and love it. There are many clalibers you can switch uppers on a 5.56 lower. Such as 6.8,6.5 Grendal, 7.62X39, .50 beowulf, .458 SOCOM just to name a few.
  23. I had this happen to me right after Christmas last year. I was 350 miles away from home on my way to Ft Jackson. Lost $2800.00. I feel your pain. Your Family will understand. Got to have a ride to make money.
  24. That is to funny.
  25. I know of one in Nashville. Used to shoot on the AMU Europe team. He works on mine. He's semi-retired ,so I don't know if he does full builds anymore. He does have a wealth of knowledge though.
