I have had no issue with the KCI 33 rd mags that I have. Can't tell the differrece from my Glock 33 round ones with out looking.

I have one set up for hunting and another being set up for bullseye. It's hard to beat a longslide if set up right. They have a purpose for me. i know a lot of people that carry, but only one that carries a 1911 on a daily basis. i carry a 10mm Commander at times. So I guess that makes most 1911's a show or novelty item for most. I have never fired a ported Longslide so give us a report and post some pictures once to get it.

I own one in a non-ported model. I really like it. I have had mine only a few months. I need to put a better front sight on mine due to my eyes. I have a red fiber optic on the way.

I have owned several over the years. The current one is a MKIII in their polymercoated finish in .40. I had the mag disconect removed and it is a sweet shooter with a great trigger. I think you'll be happy. For me it fits better than the CZ.

I go to shoot one once. I also went with a MSAR due to the better ergonomics, trigger and price. The trigger was made even AR like with a Neu-trigger installed.

Welcome to TGO. I know all to well about the drive. I made it from Ft Jackson to Mt Juliet for the last two years. I'm glad to be home finally.

I'm with Sgt Joe on this one. Those were the day's. I remember the fashions all to well. Still have pictures. It was a great time, the 70's. I was living in Atlanta then stationed in Germany. It was all uncomplicated at that time. Platform's and baggy pleated and cuffed bell bottom pants and silk Nik-Nik shirts. LOL

Has anybody on here have any first hand experience on a AR15 running 7.62X39 Russian? I see allot of the manufacturers are offering them and in 5.45 also. Looking for what brand info also on the weapon you had experience with. I already have several AK's, just have interest in this round and rifle for a specific purpose. Thanks
