My Daughter and I are headed into the breech. I am out of town next week and have to find stuff for the Ms. Wish me luck!!! lol

There is a product called Blue Wonder gun cleaner. It removes surface rust with a passing over it with a patch and no steel wool. This is some of the best stuff I have ever used for cleaning. It does not remove the blueing. I am down to my last little bit. It is hard to find in the store. But on there website it gives you a locator. I have a Norinco SKS that I took the Bayonet off. Mine shoot better without it IMO. My little girl used to run around the yard sticking holes in her garden with it. I finally gave it to Magiccarpetrides to complete his build that was missing the bayonet. I looked at mine to see if the block would come off easy and it looks more trouble than its worth. It is slightly recessed and the front sight has to come off. BTW Magic, My baby girl said she wants her pig sticker back or you owe her some gum.

I like it but after a few minutes it's giving my tri focals hell. I'm new to wearing glasses.

I won't buy UMC 9mm because of these issues. They were under loaded and had a recall on them. Was this the bulk pack yellow box of 250.

I watch guys in the Balkans and Africa use a boot lace to clean their AK's. The secret with the corrosive ammo is using water to kill the salts from the corrosive primers. Hit the barrel anf the face of the bolt then clean as normal. A bore smake works well but you need a one piece rod too for real deep cleaning.

I have been waiting to see or hear a report on the Nano from a first hand user, can you give us a report. I am looking at a PPS Walther or a the new Kahr CM9. I have been waiting to see actual price, size and feel.

You need to take a look at the American Tactical Import line as well. I feel they have a better fit and finish of all the entry level 1911's.

The one I held seemed well made and a good price for what you get. I wouln't worry about MIM parts everybody uses them. Why do you think a Kimber is also known as a Mimber. Only the upscales don't, but I have heard they have been known to also. A properly made MIM part will last a long time. Better than some machined parts that could have been stressed in the process. I know I'm intrested in one, if I ever see one again.

I'm staying at home , no craziness for me.

There are some snubbie barrels on Gunbroker right now. The one I got from CZ gave me a fit. I got John Wall at Eastside Gunshop to straighten it out. I am going to get a fiber optic front from your bud Eric. I have the Hogue grip on mine which works great. The factory combat grip works well also (Ebay). BTW all the factory grips are large except the combat (finger grove). If I find my camera (Little Girl stashed it ) I will post up some photos.

Isn't that the truth!!! lol

Different, I don't know about those cocking serrations on the slide. Let us know how it shoots.

Did you make a video of that one? I watched some of the others you made. Might make a good point. Any residential safe can be broken in by a professional, It's the other deterrents that make it harder. Placement, mounting, system installed. Most people I know don't mount theirs. It is just sitting there to be pushed over and give better leverage. My neighbor got robbed, they just loaded it up and took three safes. No alarm, no other deterrents. I know there are better safes, but if you don't factor in other things. It is still just a metal box. BTW Insurance is great and needed if you own a few guns, but you don't get a break by having a safe.

I have heard good things about the Black Hole barrels. I am looking at one my self due to the type polygonal rifling they use which I believe is proprietary to them. I also am looking at a 18".

I have a DW 15-2 pistol pack from 2"-15" for over 30 years. There are the most accurate revolver I have ever shot. I bought a 2" barrel from the new CZ Dan Wesson and had to pay to have it turn down and re threaded to get it to work. The finish was not up to the Monsan , Mass guns. This company makes some nice barrel's and are priced right. EWK Arms

I have owned some nice DPMS rifles. I can't speak for their quality in for 5.56 in the last few years. But I own a AP4 .308 and it is a great rifle (Rifle of the Year). Their SASS and Super SASS in .308 has been fielded and just barely lost to Knight's SR25 for general procurement. I also know quite a few people that own DPMS in the large frame and know of no complaints. They are a bargain in this area. For a a first rifle I would go with the M&P. And as stated earlier the Palmetto State Armory, it's defiantly worth looking at.

Great news, Now I know who to call and help keep your service crew employed. lol

I just looked at the Dicks Ad it states $30-200 off their safes. The 24 gun is 549.00 according to the ad after discount. That is for th Mt Juliet area ad.

They have been making 1911's in the Philippines for 50-60 years. In South America over 80 years in some places. Hell, they were even made in Norway 60 years ago. It is built globally.

I have the Cannon 6040 from tractor supply and it was 799.00 on sale. it is a good safe. Before I got it I called Cannon and they back it here with their warranty. I have been very happy with it. There are pros and con to all. But nobody can touch their warranty. I have my stuff insured. This is more for security. Every one has different needs. I looked for a year. It was not just the money. Houston??? They have a softer schedule than most FCS teams. But I agree about a LSU and Alabama re match. This week Arkansas will have LSU and that will be a game.

Who sell Chinese made ammo?

I have a M&P 15 in 5.45 Russian and love it. Runs the cheap mil surplus flawless and is just as accurate as any 5.56 shooting commercial ammo. A lot of the guys in my unit owned them also and we ran thousands of rounds through them. I know none of these had any problems and ran well on the magazines we had. S&W service is awesome and there are case where they even replaced the barrel for free after 20k rounds. One note on the .22 conversions, They run well if kept really lubed but they get really dirty. The CMMG units are set up to run on the cheap Remington Golden Bullets. On the other side I have owned a couple of the Palmetto State Armory AR's and they are a whole lot of bang for the buck. I think when i was there last they stated they have a lifetime warranty. Not around a long time nationally but well know in South Carolina. Great prices on all their guns and ammo. Good People.
