  2. What a nice idea. When my wife and I were young NCO's we used to go through the barracks and round them all up. One time we had close to 40 jr enlisted at our house. You can asked them the day before and they all stated they had somewhere to go. Sitting in the barracks sucks on a Holiday.

    AMT Automag II

I almost got one years ago, my buddy saved me the trouble. The early ones had a time with extraction. The new ones are made by the new High Standard company in Houston, TX. They had a time with just the quality and build of the new High Standards so I would be leary and read up all you can. They do have a good feel in the hand.
  4. I was in the Club business for years. In the worst parts of Atlanta. I have seen people get shot with a .25 and .32 and still beat the hell out of who shot them. On that note I have seen a one shot kill to the head with some type of .22 and a couple from multiple shots. Mixed results on .380. For years I carried a .380 Colt or PPK/s and a NAA mini revolver in .22 Mag in my front pocket. The switch to a Glock 19 for main carry when they came out. Mini .22 always in the front pocket. A lot of guys in the day carried the Beretta 21 in the front pocket due to reliability. I recently sold my Sig 380 and got a Kahr CM9 in 9mm I am still breaking in. It is a wonderful pistol with a excellent trigger to me. Just 5-10 years ago the selection for a affordable mini 9mm was non existent. To me the J frame has a horrible DA trigger, not to mention the recoil. ( I still own two). Today there are so many option for the money why would you consider a .22,.25 or .32. I would include the .380, but there have been advances made in different types of ammo over the past few years that put it at the starting point as a minimum for defensive carry. Still argued in certain circles. I spent many years dealing with or around people on what would be considered on the other side of the law. Not all of them carried Hi-Point's. I could argue the merit on them in another thread. These people were not afraid to use them. BTW I still carry a pointed stick no matter what.

    New watch

Are you looking for a real pocket watch ( Mechanical), Or do you perfer newer battery type? I have some open face Elgin Railroads and a couple of hunter case Railroads I would let go.
  6. I have own a Glock 19 for over 15 years. To me it is a must own gun. I own a lot of pistols. Over the years have sold quite a few but not the 19. It is my most carried pistol. I pick it up out of the safe with out thinking about it then might change my mind depending on what I am doing. Mine is a Gen II. If I were a betting man more Glock 19's are traded back and forth on this site, more than any other pistol or brand. I just recently purchase the new CM9 Kahr 9mm that I really like and will review here soon.
  7. This is really tempting. Has a lifetime warranty. UHG!!!! I am just finishing a Sabre defence build in Mid Length and have a lot more money in it.
  8. That is a pretty good buy with the upgrades. You would be hard pressed to find a better purchase. Rock River makes a good AR. Just remember you will will need some type of sights.
  9. Thanks for the Laugh.
  10. I have to defer to you for recent times. I know for a fact in the beginning, don't know now. But when I worked closely with contracting it was more than $200.00 a month that was stated some PMC Contractors were making. Even the security guards were at $450. Doesn't seem like much to put your life on the line. In the beginning I couldn't believe what they were paying Iraqis that lived in America to go as translators before the war started. We processed them through Ft Benning. Most I am speaking of was 2003/4. So I don't know about recent times. But the contracts were massive to the companies that were awarded them at the start. With permanent establishment and time most contracts come down in price in any situation. Hell, when we left even what we were doing was turned over to a civilian contractor.
  11. My Daughter said bajabuc was Santa Claus while sitting next to me looking at his picture. So it must be true!!

  21. Meant to say I lived in Wales as a boy! lol You guys are a tough crowd.
  22. We love Santa at our house. It's for the children. As they get older we talk about St Nick/Father Christmas. My mother was from Wales and I lived there as a boy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_Christmas Dr. John Condry of Cornell University interviewed more than 500 children for a study of the issue and found that not a single child was angry at his or her parents for telling them Santa Claus was real. According to Dr. Condry, "The most common response to finding out the truth was that they felt older and more mature. They now knew something that the younger kids did not." We also know the reason for the season and teach that also.
  23. I have one and use a lawn mower blade sharpner. Then clean it up with a rough stone.
