    sig p220 Compact

I just went to one of these and sold my full size 220. Magiccarpetrides on here carries one also. I don't think the Defender is on par with the 220. Any time you go to less than Commander size in 1911 platform there are issues. Mostly to do with the recoil system. Not to get a debate started, it is a well know issue with officer size pistols. I'm sure some here have had no issues. The 220 is a little wider and weighs a bit more. The Colt is 7 round where the Sig is 6 round. The SIG can be had SAO or DA/SA. I have carried both. About the same to me. But the dead set reliability of the SIG out weighs any thing I have ever owned by Colt beside one of their revolvers.
  5. The last time I bought some was from a jewlery/watchmakers supply store.. Some times they are listed as a findings store and deal with supplies to this industry. This was in Atlanta when I lived there. I don't know about a store in the Knoxville area. You can look in the the Yellow Pages. Or call your local jewlery/watch repair shop and ask who they buy from. Place to start: Darnell Jewelry Tools & Supplies 6428 Ruggles Ferry Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924 865-637-4457
  6. I have a Hi point in a ATI stock. It has a 40mm red dot from True Glo and is a blast to shoot. It is fairly accurate for what it is. I had another before this one. I think the ATI stock makes it better. Both of mine were/are great rifles for the money. k9wh91984, I'll also take that $100.00 Hi Point off your hands. I drive by Hermitage every day.
  7. Were you in South Carolina when it happened? I was south of Hilton Head. EBT card holders must like some crab. LOL
  8. This is too true. They will hate us no matter what. One thing that is true it doesn't matter what Muslim country you spend time in, you feel the hate before you leave if you spent any real time there. The are raised on this from a very early age.and take their religion very seriously compared to here.
  9. I was in a seafood shop in South Carolina last year and watched two women purchase two baskets of blue crabs with a EBT card. i was waiting to buy a pound of shrimp and scallops. They were talking to the clerk about have a roast/party at the beach.. I was pissed when I left.
  10. I have a CM9 and love it. I feel it is the best purchase I have made in a long time.
  11. I recommend FUGAS (Fougasse) and det cord connected to a trip wire or clacker. Get some dogs. My Daughter has a standard Chihuahua that barks at anything he sees or hears. Other that that a good security system is a lot cheaper than a fence. I have a Friend that was from Rhodesia. Who fought there during there war. On the family farm they had a triple perimeter fence to keep out the Guerrilla fighters, to include grenade screens on the windows. After awhile he told me they were the prisoners. He gave up everything and left.
  12. I ahve had a S&W in this caliber since they came out. I like mine alot. No issues. It is alot more accurate than my AK in the same round. My AR shoots well with surplus ammo. As well as my other AR shooting cheap commerical/surplusl 5.56.

    Red Jacket AR

My bad, when I see theire name I always think AK. And Hi Power has bought a couple here lately. LOL

    Red Jacket AR

I feel they are way overpriced. Get you a Arsenal. Or custom build your own.
  15. I had one of these when they first came out. Mine ran fine with no key holing. It had a slighty canted front sight that I couldn't tell when purchased only after firing. It ran great. I could never get use to the wire stock. It just didn't give anything that felt like a decent cheek weld. I was going to purchase a ACE stock but bulit a Saiga in 5.45 and sold the Tantal. When these rifles came out they were $650.00. You can purchase one for a song now with all the issues Century had with the rifles a couple of years ago.
  16. Im paying $13.00 a box online for .40. .45ACP is around three dollars higher. Get a .40 if you want one. During the last ammo ahortage it was .38 Spec, .380, 9mm and 45ACP that was short and expensive. I found .40 for around $15 and 10MM around $20 a box at that time.
  17. I think it was funny
  18. I bought a CM9 for under $400. It has ran flawless. I even like the trigger and I own a few Glocks. i feel this is the best purchase I have made in a while.
  19. Did you buy it over in the hood????? When you get ready to convert it take a look at Carolina Shooters Supply.

    New SR9c issue

The SR9C I had had some pretty aggresive slide serations, are you sure they are inncorrect ?
  21. R1100R

    New AK!

Sounds like a plan. I bought a Saiga in 5.45 and converted it. I sold my Century Tantal when I finished the saiga. I might have to look onto doing one in 7.62.
  22. R1100R

    New AK!

Smith, very nice. I wish this model was available when I did my conversion. What does this model appx cost?
  23. I just got a CM9 and love it. I just found out about the CM40, might have to look at it.
  24. DMARK, what scope did you stick on it? It looks great. I still have that 8X Unertl with your name on it!! LOL
  25. Id go for the Saiga about $500. if you do the conversion. I bought the 5.45 amd run regular AK Mags in mine from day one even before the conversion. I understand you have to put a bullet guide in for the 7.62X39 it is not expensive though. I took a long time before I did the conversion and shooting the rifle was not that bad. After you shoot the conversion with the Tapco G2 trigger it becomes amazing. I have seen some nice WASR's as of late. I just can't buy anything else Century because of the Tantal and the CETME. Two rifles they realy screwed up and won't stand behind. I said to myself never again.
