  1. Gordon, I have already done this as stated in the OP. It still sucks. I have polished and cleaned, lubricated it and it is a little better. Off to the range today with a Eotech 516 on top to see if I even like this rifle any more. LOL
  2. You need to follow your heart. There is always a way to do the right thing. I live in Wilson and have a tall 10 year old girl. We have clothes if needed.
  3. I'm in it all right. I have shot about every military issue bullpup there is with the exception of the IDF tavor and the new chi-com bullpup. LOL This rifle has a truly crappy trigger. BUBBA, we need to go shoot anyway. I,d love to give yours a try.
  4. Well I finally pulled the trigger and got FDE 16.5" Tavor. Speaking of triggers, this has to be the worse I have ever encountered. I have shot quite a few bullpups from my service history. This one is twice as bad as my MSAR even.   I have removed the extra spring and it still sucks.  It's sad that you would have to spend a extra $300-400 on a trigger pack at the price this rifle cost to begin with. I am not impressed with the fit and finish either.   It shoots not as well as my others due to trigger.  Need to let one of my Buds take it for a spin to make sure it is not me. Just not impressed right now.   Might have to cut this one loose.
  5. I realyy like what you did with this especially the forearm.     Meprolite AK sights are rear windage adjustable. They have night sight inserts and are roughly the same price, I got mine for $80 on ebay. I hate AK front rights they are a pain is the ass to adjust.
  6. Welcome, from the same neighborhood. Also shoot contenders at GGC.
  7. If you wanted to complete your day just go to the Outpost Armory. I'm still livid about my most recent experience. I'm done with them after the fifth time trying to buy something. I will never go back. FT , I will do my best to spread the word about how worthless they are.
  8. Our condolences to the Family.

  10.     Wher are you getting this deal?
  11. +1 I have been using a head blade forever. Works great.
  12. Just call him and set everything up
  13. He's done two pistols for me. You can do the slide by mail. He mailed one of mine. We went with Chuck Warner' s sights.
  14. Good for you. Stay active.
  15. I see I am in esteemed company. I was going through basic and AIT in "76". Still serving.   Still love some Zepplin.
  16. mcordell Thanks for the heads up. I jumped on some of the larger 9mm.
  17. I have shot tons of blue bunny. Still have a 1000 rounds of the 38 special FBI loads.
  18. Gordon, it looks great. I like what you did with the saiga handguard.
  19. I have two P220 stainless in .45. They are also made on a stainless frame which makes for a very heavy gun.  Not to much fun to carry.
  20. Best indoor range around in my opinion. Nice people also.
  21. I'm running Kies on a 5.56 and a .308 AR' s . Have been happy with them.
  22. Man, what a great find. You'll have fun with that.
  23. I grew up eating at the Dwarf House (Original) quite often most of my life. He was a very genuine and godly man who's  presence will be missed by many.
  24. You can give Bret a call. He builds fantastic AK's. I just don't know if he does repair work.     http://neverenoughguns.com/
  25. I have been shooting the 5.45 round for years. I even got one of the first AR's when they became available in 5.45. Unlike what some others have posted I have had the best luck from Bulgarian and Polish polymer 5.45 AK mags.   I was buying surplus 5.45 for 102.00 a spam can FOB in Atlanta and stocked up pretty well between my brother and I.   I have a .223 Saiga and getting mags to work has been a nightmare beside the factory 10 rounder. The magazines are expensive also. Need to get with Dolomite to find out where  he is getting the cheap .223 AK Mags LOL  But on that note it does shoot well.
