  1. Okay, who's been talking.
  2. Could post a picture of my circumcision scar.
  3. I am embarrassed I posted my little boo boo after Dolomite and UncleJak's posts.
  4. Yeah, but you could still pick your nose.
  5. Didn't think about that. Maybe it will spread out over the whole trigger.
  6. I invested a lot of ammunition training that finger.
  7. Was working on a trailer rollup door this morning. Had a lift truck fork under the door as a safety measure. Note To Self... Remove fingers from fork BEFORE releasing door. Only graphic if its your finger. Five stitches and some gauze and I was ready to go.
  8. I'm thinking a big ole TGO group hug when he gets back.
  9. You're welcome. I tried them the jammed bullet and false shoulder method. The cases with false shoulders retained the original length, formed as well if not better and didn't waste bullets. The ones with jammed bullets shortened about .010. Okey
  10. This will explain it better than I can. It is also the place I learned. Forming 6BR Improved Cases Okey
  11. I form my Dasher brass with pistol powder using a false shoulder. Have used Clays and #2 powder. The 6br filled up into the shoulder form the brass about 95%. Have also filled a .223 case up to the top of the shoulder without any pressure signs. Would start with a little less powder. I stick a little toilet tissue in the end to keep the powder from falling out. Below are 2 formed cases and several more ready fire. Warning... It is loud I use double ear protection. Okey
  12. It's on the spot. Looks like Little House on the Prairie don't you think?
  13. Well it's not the Taj Mahal but it works. Currently sharing it with a family of Brown Recluse and a nest of Red Wasp. They are living behind the soon to be removed paneling. Planning on a surprise attack the next cold morning. Heat is supplied by Propane. A/C MIGHT the future if it will run off a 150' extension cord. The floor needs a little more support to take the shake out if more than one person is in it.
  14. Thanks. It is a Bell & Carlson Medalist A2. I widened the front to 3 inches last winter. Did a little grinding and sanding on the butt of the stock while waiting on a new barrel. Removed the recoil pad, packed the butt with lead and cut a piece of aluminum to replace the pad. Probably have 20 hours invested to turn a 200.00 stock into a 50.00 one. Got a chance to shoot this afternoon. The Hornady AMax were grouping about an inch. Was disappointed until I tried the Bergers. 5 shot group.
  15. It is at my buddy's farm. I thought the fog might be good for a photo op. Might have been a bad idea, everyone notices the fog and not my sweet rattle can paint job. Thats not old. Okey
  16. I have held that rifle. My buddy in Dixon Springs owns it now. That is an old record I believe. Here is a newer one. Might be an even newer one after it. World record 600 yard 6BR
  17. Nah it is a 6 but as much as I think I am going to like this one I might have to add a 22.
  18. I don't consider this a real benchrest rifle but it is all I can afford at the moment. UPS man brought my 6 Dasher barrel Thursday and got to shoot it today for the first time. Very little recoil and cleans easier than any of my other calibers. Most of my time spent fireforming. Shot pretty good fireforming. Okey
  19. I bet it will.
  20. I get most of my Savage Prefit barrels from Jim Briggs at Northland. 736-682-4296 He keeps a lot of the common calibers in stock. I have an action wrench and savage barrel nut wrench if you need help swapping one out. Okey
  21. I didn't say anything about how many rounds it took to get sighted in on the plate. I was using the Amax because it is easier to see where you are hitting. I would like to know how the 77 SMK work for you. The 80 Bergers and the 77 SMK shoot the best in mine. Get them loaded up and come shoot with me. I have access to a 700 and 880 yard berm.
  22. This was shot with my longer range Salvage with a 8 twist Wylde .223 with a 80 AMax. The wind blows the 80 around pretty bad at longer distances.
  23. My Short Range Salvage .223
  24. After you swap your first savage barrel you can do it in 5 or 10 mins. If you get in my area stop by and we will swap out a few barrels. I will warn you it is addicting. Okey
  25. Once you acquire a taste for them nothing else will do. Okey
