  1. I guess most of you know that the cameras are installed and maintained by a private company. They get their money from the tickets. In Jackson they get $30.05 from a $50 ticket and the city gets $19.95. As Stickj said, if your front tires are across the white line before it changes to red you are okay.
  2. :wave:Welcome from your neighbor to your north.
  3. I read and read, then gave up. Great list. I'm not there yet.
  4. Oh, my God....... He looks like the devil himself.
  5. I bought a S & W 442 a few weeks back. It is the perfect partner for my glock 26.
  6. The robber lived a violet life and he died a violet death. I'm sorry that he had to die, but he choose his own destiny.
  7. I was so sorry to hear about your loss. Hang in there and be strong for each other during this most difficult time.
  8. I, too, have a Liberty safe with the dial. It always works. It's just slower than the pad. If you have to open and lock it several times a day, it would make sense to go with the touch pad. Other than that, the dial is the way to go.
  9. Here's hoping that this law gets changed during the next legislative session. But don't bet on it.
  10. I had a tough time deciding between the 642 and the 442. For those of you that don't know, the only difference between the two is the finish. The 442 is matte black and the 642 is a natural stainless and aluminum finish(I think). I felt like the 442 would be a little more concealable and I just like the black finish a bit better. I suppose everyone knows about the S&W rebate still available until the end of the year. It's $30 back on the j frames.
  11. +1 Mine took 8 weeks 5 days and 22 hours about this same time last year.
  12. I've been carrying a little 25 semiauto as my pocket gun. I know, it is small, but it is a little better than a knife. Now I have a S&W 442, which is a 38 spl. +P. It is seen in the pictures with a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. Now I have got to get to the range and see how bad the recoil is with the +P ammo.
  13. This past summer my wife and I spent our time baby sitting during the week with my new grandson in Olive Branch, MS. During the travel to and from we made several stops at Wolf Chase where I would always carry IWB. My typical wear in the summer is shorts and a polo type shirt. I would have the shirt untucked(which looks like crap) and never had a problem. If I were prohibited from carrying there, I would not go. I think I need to get some decent looking t-shirts to wear as a cover top rather than the polos. I do notice that a lot of the men wear their shirts untucked these days opposed to few years ago when it would have been considered tacky. Guess it is a change of the times or a lot more people are concealing their carry.

Thanks. I knew that didn't sound right.

    Winter car gun

+1 I believe that as gunowners we have to do everything in our power to keep our guns out of the hands of the BGs. To leave a weapon unlocked and unattended is irresponsible in most cases. I realize we all have to do it at times, but it is taking a big gamble. Sorry. I didn't read the last post before I responded.
  16. I just bought a S&W 442 and a box(100) of +P ammo. Now I'm afraid to take it to the range. I think that I still have several rounds of military 38 that I can use to get the hang of it.
  17. A definite improvement in the looks department. You know all that black gets boring.
  18. LMAO.
  19. I spent most of the summer in Hernando, MS. It is great to be able to legally carry in all restaurants. My son used to live in Little Rock, so I noticed the Dixie Cafes, but never did try them. It sounds like my loss. Oh well, maybe I can try one someday.
  20. I know that's right.......
  21. I had the microscopic surgery for a ruptured disk back in 02. When I woke up, I felt instant relief from the pain. No more pain pills for me. I was left with some mild tingling around my right knee, which the Doc said was because of a damaged nerve. He's gone now, but I'll always remember that he said you'll know when it's time for surgery. I know that I did.

    Playing golf

Callaway, Ping, TaylorMade, Cobra, Titleist, and Wilson are all pretty good choice of irons. I would recommend the cavity-back ones rather than the blades until you get a whole lot better. I've been playing with the Callaway x-14's for about 6 years and they are sweet clubs. Mine have the graphite shafts and are 2 degrees upright. (You probably need to be fitted so that your swing and the club match.) I'm presently using a Callaway FT-5 driver which I like. You will need a good sand wedge like a Cleveland or Titleist Vokey. I have a couple of Cobra hybrids. The hybrid clubs have replaced a lot of the long irons(2,3,4 etc.) , so check them out. Try out different putters to see which one feels good to you. The main point in purchasing a set of clubs is that they don't all have to be the same brand. You can often find good used sets at Golfsmiths on Winchester in Memphis. Hope this helps some.

    Gun Transfer Fees

They want you to buy from them. Check out the local pawn shops. You may find a good deal at one of them. I have one here that only charges $10 for everything. I know, I know, I'm lucky.
  24. Why does everyone refer to Obama as black? I think that I read somewhere that he is 50% white, 38% arabic, and 12% black. How does that make him black? P.S. I'm certainly not an Obama supporter nor am I prejudice. I just don't understand how many of the black voters can say that he is one of them.
  25. That's just wrong.
