  1. It's the "ox broth" part that concerns me...:-)
  2. That's a tough choice but I'd have to go with my 1911.
  3. Never had a crunchy shrimp roll. Are they similar to sheep fries?
  4. Nice! I'd do that but I can't afford the 3rd piece of bread. We usually save such a luxurious meal for holidays & birthdays.
  5. I had a seem-like sandwich. Put 2 slices of bread together and it seems like you have a sandwich....
  6. More than CC vs OC, this discussion should be about situational awareness. The OP was doing what he should have been doing- paying attention to those around him.
  7. My two oldest daughters are Girl Scouts. They had a Troop at Home Depot here in Collierville that was doing a cookie sales booth. As they were closing up for the day a man approached and sat near them. He kept staring at their table. There was another guy sitting in a car with his cellphone to his ear but he wasn't talking on it. The Troop mom called her husband who got there a couple of minutes later. As soon as the husband showed up the first guy left on foot and the guy sitting in his car drove away. I told my wife that her and my girls arn't working a booth unless it's my day off and me & Ed Brown are there.
  8. On the one that was carrying the fish in one claw- I thought at first he had dove in and came up with an alligator!
  9. That's odd because I live in Collierville and don't remember any shooting there last year. I don't like the service at the Collierville store so I usually drive over to Cordova and shop there. RobertNashville- that's an odd assumption you have about the management at Walmart. I know a lot of managers with Walmart that are just like the rest of us here. They have their HCP, they hunt, a few have built their own 1911s and AR-15s. They would love to spend a hour talking about guns but their work keeps them from doing that. I know 2 that are retired military and served to protect our right to own firearms. Until you get to know some of these managers I ask that you not make such a strong assumption.
  10. So, obviously you don't own either one. Why bother posting?
  11. I perfer the Milt Sparks because the Crossbreed seemed too bulky. By the way, I didn't wait 6 months for my VMII because I purchased it from one of the two dealers that Milt Sparks referred me to. Paid $115 plus shipping. Those two dealers purchase a lot of holsters from MS so if they don't have one in stock they will within a few weeks.
  12. Ok, I need to be more careful when opening threads while eating a bowl of Cap'n Crunch.
  13. I either checkout in the automotive center or in the jewelry dept. That way I avoid the super long lines at the front of the store. By the way, you can checkout at any register in the store. The only issue is the register in automotives doesn't have a scale so you can pay for produce there.
  14. I have an Ed Brown Special Forces in Gen III. I had looked at both it and the Dan Wesson and had decided on the Brown, even with the wait. One day I was in a LGS and found exactly what I wanted sitting in their case. I had talked with several dealers, including Crazy John, and knew that the price the LGS was asking was about what I could get it for thru other dealers and I would have to wait ... Firearms are a personal choice but I love my Ed Brown !
  15. That is probably the best news stories ever written. I applaud the Sheriff and his Sgt for what they did.....
  16. Now that's not nice! Teasing us with pictures like that! LOL Congrats on finding it!
  17. Guess that would include me... even though I have a college degree and retired LEO. Walmart helps feed the family and I get a discount on guns......
  18. I bought a Sig 229 at Walmart in 1993.
