I was alluding to what guys on here have debated about WalMart 10-22s and other guns being inferior to what you can find at local owned gun shops. I was there yesterday morning and the display was still about half full. Picked up a few for brothers' birthdays. They never have to know how much you spend!

Greenbrier G n L is the best I've been to. Cheaper than On Target if I'm remembering correctly. Can be quite a drive depending on what part of town you're in, but it's the best indoor around. Hendersonville's is very nice but much shorter as others have said.

Lock-Tite the grip and sight screws. Other than that enjoy the heck out of it. They're great guns and you can't beat the price.

Is it the original window? Was it cracked or dinged at all? Has the van been wrecked? Just thinking if it's under pressure in any way or cracked it could have finally shattered.

thanks Lester. I've heard good things about them from Hickok and others, so I might take the risk on them and then sell them if they don't fit. Just want something a little more convenient to remove and put back on. For instance, went and shot sporting clays with some buddies -- couldn't hear them between stations, but the time it took to put them back in was a hassle.

I've got a big ol' head. (Literally, and sometimes figuratively.) Like 7 3/4 and tall. I was known as "Head" throughout middle and high school. But enough of my adolescent trauma... I bought some cheap Remington's, but they didn't make it past my ear lobes. Has anyone with a similar problem found some that stretch far enough to do the trick? I've gotten to the point where I'm so cynical I think everybody cheats, college through pros. PEDs, spying, bounties, whatever you can do to get an edge. It's unfortunate.

I guess Glock, Walther, Ruger, and Remington don't count...
