  1. I see where you were coming from now Bert.  As 6.8 brought up moral relativism, this has a major contributing effect on increased entropy.  Another way to look at it is an increase in entropy for OUR system, but an evolutionary process toward a different system with a corresponding reset to less entropy in the new system.   I'm of two minds on this.  As stated above by Chucktshoes, my libertarian view says that government shouldn't be in the business of authorizing or sanctioning marriage, or most other aspects of private citizen's life.  Of course my one sentence doesn't sum all considerations, but you get the idea.    Conversely, as 6.8 also said, marriage has historically been about procreation of the species and partnership in rearing stable and productive members of society.  Changing the family structure is absolutely going to have an effect on the fabric of our society.  Homosexual people raising children will change variables.  I can't (am not qualified to) say it will be harmful, but I can say it has the potential to be.  However you look at it, it is different from normal practice and has the potential for causing issue.  Saying that, any marriage has the potential for causing harm to the children.  One difference I see is that we want our successive generations to procreate and carry on the species.  If we are artificially inflating the non-offspring producing segment of the population, we are short cutting that aspect of the equation.   Now, saying all of that, I'll make a crude statement and point out that the more gay men there are in the world, the less competition for heterosexual women.  :0)  Sorry, couldn't resist.
  2. You may have already seen this, but here is a page with some good router reviews.  The two Asus units that have been recommended are on there along with several other very good options.  It's CNET, so they've got a good reputation for information.   http://reviews.cnet.com/best-wireless-routers/
  3. In certain aspects, you are correct.  However, I would say that it isn't completely inevitable.  What I mean is that we are not a closed system.  We allow outside ideas and influences, so therefore, there is a chance that some unknown input can correct our issues.  Not likely, but possible.
  4. I think the Asus has the power to get the signal where you need it.  If you get it at Best Buy, you can take it back and go a different route if it doesn't.  It is easily the strongest signal I've ever gotten out of a router.
  5. How far to the porch are you talking about?
  6. Oh yea, it is capable of 802.11ac which is the next standard coming out, rated to 1 gigabit per second.  It also has excellent parental controls and the ability to run a guest network while keeping your personal network secure.
  7. Here is a snapshot of my signal. Granted, I'm about ten foot from the router, but it is rated excellent at the other end of the house. It is the pr002 network.
  8. If you have the cash, go the dedicated route.  Get a V3 cable modem from Comcast's approved list.  Make sure it is the latest V3 to maximize your speed.  Next, get the Asus RT-AC66R.  This router is amazing.  I've got more than fifteen wireless signals coming from neighbors that are close enough to cause a problem.  My last router kept dropping the signal or it crawled.  We run netflix to three rooms, plus lots of multiplayer, and it was painful and frustrating.  I got the Asus, and it is powerful!  My signal is through the roof now.
  9. No, monarchy.  King of kings, etc. A theocracy is still ruled by men under direct connection with God or gods, but the bible ultimately establishes a monarchy ruled buy God as the king.  Or Jesus, depending on how it is phrased or viewed by a particular denomination.
  10. Not to stir a different pot, but biblical law IS a monarchy.
  11. Gave up fb a long time ago. Glad to have my life back.
  12. What an absolute idiot. Even if you win, fighting ain't worth it. Unless you are defending your family. I used to fight a lot, but the older I get, the more I realize it will always hurt later. Isn't worth the risk or jail.
  13. That is really cool!
  14. Looks like it leaves the rear end of your BCG exposed.  I guess it would be good for a rifle for transport in a bag, but I don't think I would carry it into the field.
  15. Takes me to a log in page as well.
  16. I'm not an expert in politics or government administration.  I get involved in political discussions to a moderate degree but can quickly hit my knowledge limit with most of you more politically adept people.  With that understanding, I've created a petition out of frustration with our childish and selfish government.  I basically am calling for them to stop this stupid sequestration game and just do their job and create a budget.   Please read my simple petition and sign it if you agree or feed back to me if you see a flaw in my logic.   http://wh.gov/vSIU   Thanks!
  17. That picture says all I need to know about shooting someone else's reloads.
  18.   That right there is funny!
  19.   I didn't think it was possible to be the only one in a gun shop these days.  Yea, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be too keen on them just randomly copying my DL just because it was their policy.  Like was said, if it gets down to buying, they'd get the info because it is required, not before then.  Now what are they going to do with it?  Put it on file?
  20.   I agree.  I think that is how Kentucky does it.  No direct knowledge, just what I've heard.
  21. www.kniferights.org works, www.kniverights.org gives dns errors.
  22. Welcome!  I'm down in the 'Boro.  I'm out in the Memphis area pretty often.  Ever eat chopped brisket from The BBQ Shop off of Madison?  Good stuff.
  23. You are such a nerd... and I'm so jealous! I'd fly that sucker around the house right now. I would even be making jet and missile noises.
  24. They have to keep ringing the bell so that we'll keep throwing money at them.  It's the same old stuff that was going on when I was in Japan and deploying repeatedly to SK in the mid 90's.
  25. Can you see any of the videos that you previously could see?  Did you take the recent update that was pushed out?  My work phone had one within the last few days.
