1. Thanks, I'll stop doing it. Not sure where I got that from.
2. Welcome to the land of the posting!
3. I keep mine loaded. Once in a while I will unload them and let them rest empty for a while. Don't really know if that helps or where I got the idea to do it, but I do it anyway. I've never had any problems with mags that have been loaded for long periods of time.
4. I've shot brown and silver bear with no problems.
5. :0)
6. Hook, line, and sinker.
7. Welcome!
8. What did he pay for it?
9. Thanks for posting this. I will definitely put this into practice.
10. I won a $250 sweepstakes from DVOR.com last year. Evidently, I was the second choice as the first winner was ineligible for some reason. Got some night vision goggles with the credit. :0)
11. Just curious, why doesn't she use color?
12. Well, the post earlier today about good hiking and camping areas got me and some buddy's planning to go out in the WMA area down by Winchester. You could gear up and come along.
13. I heard a rumor that they are a small organization that is very hard to get in to. Something about the TN National Guard is supposed to fill that function for the state or something like that, so the militia wasn't very big or active. It's been a while since I heard this, so I really can't remember much.
14. That sounds like it could be a good story to hear.
15. This is the only one for now. I want another, but I still haven't decided what. This one was a boot camp memento that didn't get a lot of thought. The next one will have significant meaning.
16. What a great day!
17. Hornady Critical Defense is excellent. Here's a nice YouTube video from a Tennessee boy giving you a decent idea of its capability. The video was done before he started doing gel tests, but it is still informative. This is the stuff I carry.
18. Is that soft serve strawberry?? I know the answer, but my mind refuses to accept it. :0)
19. Exactly.
20. I support his free speech, and if a private company wants to incorporate religious ideals in their philosophy, go ahead. You still can't get around the bigotry of the statement, and in our modern free society, they run the risk of alienating potential customers. I don't think it will hurt them as every Chick Fil A I see is completely packed at lunch time.
21. :0) Ok, I'm following. This thread has several different but related angles.
22. http://norml.org/laws/penalties/item/tennessee-penalties-2 Not only is it more serious than a ticket monetarily, but there is a real chance of jail time or probation. Also, I have direct knowledge of a friend who was caught smoking a J but had very little on him. He was arrested, transported, and jailed for a few hours. Ultimately it cost his job and more than $2000 in fines and fees. First offense. As for the rational, why not? Alcohol is a much more dangerous and destructive drug. If it is okay for public consumption, then so too marijuana. If it is my body, so to speak, and I am not harming anyone, why not? At home, on my couch, why is it the governments business? I'm a disabled vet injured in the line of duty. I have constant pain that causes sleepless nights and loss of locomotion. I use motrin or tylenol to help with pain, but from direct experience MJ helps tolerate it much better and adds to quality of life. I don't use anymore, but if it was an option for my doctor to offer, I would. Because it works. He did prescribe marinol, which is a synthetic alternative. It sucked, didn't really work unless I doubled up, but at $400 per month, uh no thanks.
23. If you are talking about narcotics, then I can see your argument. They do have some beneficial uses medically, but long term use and abuse can cause issues as you indicate. However, I've got several examples of successful people who are long term users of MJ who are upstanding citizens with solid families and commendable work histories. Some in my immediate family. The positive aspect is much like unwinding with a couple of beers, enhancing overall enjoyment with life. I think this thread is following divergent but related lines of reasoning. I agree with the people who've identified potential border trouble escalations resulting from a f**k it attitude held by Mexico. It is going to take a political resolve to address our borders, but of course, party politics and a muddled, distorted view of the issue will probably continue to prevent this.
