  1. Every parent of every kid I knew growing up would have been in jail. We were kicked outside to play.
  2. Yes, sorry, I saw four different calibers and had dies and components in mind too.
  3. Hey, welcome aboard!
  4. If you start out with a single station press and one caliber, you can come in around $300-350. Lyman makes a good package deal with digital scale and case trimmer for the rifle round for about $400. You'll still need some stuff but that will get you most of the way there.
  5. Plan on $700+.
  6. Now now. Debt and Spending are this country's enemies. That is what is going to destroy us, yet our politicians are drunk with power and denial. They control the checkbook and no one can stop them it seems. We are slave to the debt and debtor. The debtor is our master and someday may become our landlord. Spend your way out of that with feel good programs and welfare. Hey, but I'm an optimist. Normally.
  7. Looking forward to your range report.
  8. I think what Dolomite was getting as was that if you are going to vote, you need some skin in the game. If you don't contribute anything to the system, you shouldn't be able to vote in order to take more out of the system. My sister in law is irresponsible, makes poor life decisions, and her and her husband have no ambition or drive, do not try to better themselves, and make little money. She didn't pay in to the system and received $6000 back this year. That is your money that she is getting. Are you okay with that? Elderly are a different set of people. We should absolutely provide for the generations that drove this country before us, but it should be on the money that they contributed, whether it be their personal retirement plan or what they paid in. It should not be on the back of our children or children's children.
  9. That's what I was going for but didn't look the quote up for exacts.
  10. Ditto on WHY HAVEN'T YOU SHOT IT?
  11. As God is my witness, I thought pigs could fly! :0) Oh come on, nobody saw that coming?
  12. Just the fact that he wanted it bad enough to steal it should be enough justification. Then you'd have to get the guy it belonged to just to be sure. Scorched earth policy.
  13. You will get used to it by shooting it. Kind of like when you first pick up the guitar, your fingers will be on fire after your first heavy practice session. After a while, you become used to it and everything gets better. Also, I've got a G27 with a Pachmayr slip on grip that really softens it up.
  14. Yes, intellectual argument is one of the joys of life. Nothing like a good "what if".
  15. Although I normally go to the side of "not volunteering information", in this argument, I'm going with the "not surprising the cop and therefore reducing the chance of getting shot" side of the argument.
  16. Magpul MS3 would get my vote.
  17. Your point is valid. Usually when we say "WE need to go kick their A**", the WE we are talking about usually are the BAMF's in our military that can get the job done if allowed to. So yes, we are pretty cavalier with our words. That point aside, if we don't see the massive potential war brewing between these misogynists with dark age, barbaric, and backward mentality, we are blind.
  18. I've got an XD40 and the trigger is decent. I'd say call or go up to On Target in the 'Borro and see if they have one of each to rent and shoot on their range. I'm sure it is no where close to the 1911 trigger though.
  19. Oops, late to the party.
  20. I'm just talking out my rear as I really don't know, so keep that in mind. That understood, I figure they mean the ammo must come from a licensed and insured manufacturer who's business is making ammunition. That would include companies like "Freedom Munitions".
  21. Welcome to your new addiction. This isn't a support group though, we are all enablers around here.
  22. If it's been more than five or six years, you'd probably be surprised by the growth. I've been here 12 years and really can't believe how much has changed.
  23. Welcome to the forum!
  24. Ah, yes I see the rear sight now. Nice job on it. You'll have to give us a range report.
