  1. There is a small country store near the enterance to Cheatham that sells the passes. Someone will give to better directions or call the ranger there. Remember, there is no safety officer at Cheatham. It is self service safety. I reccomend Stones River as the best facility around.   I also moved here from FL. Hollywood, FL. Never spent anu time in the panhandle. Go Gators!
  2. Yep - they are at it again or still.
  3. It drew a lot of attention to the sport. I had several non-NASCAR types ask me about Danica winning the pole position. If it generates interest, then it is a good thing.
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Welcome!  Nice to hear from Macon County.
  6. I’m a new land owner in Macon County. The land is in a rural area and has been vacant for some time and has signs of “visitors”. I’d like to post the property but do not want to offend the neighbors (across the road). I’m not from the area and will appreciate building friendships with the neighbors.  Thoughts?
  7. I emailed my representatives. Please be sure to thank them for their support of our gun rights.
  8.   I'm also looking for my first SKS. I have my eye on the Centrury Arms Norinco type 56 for $379. CA also lists a Chinese SKS with cracked stock for $239. I want to find something that represents a good value and that I will enjoy owning for years to come. What is your opinion on these two guns?   Also, is it worth the extra $ to get a hand picked SKS Yugo M59 - $450.00.  This is from another dealer, FFF out of Ohio.   Thoughts? I'll appreciate the advise as again, it is my first SKS purchase.
  9. Widener's has some that caught my eye   Type 59, Yugo SKS 7.62x39 rifles. They are 7.62x39 caliber and come with a sling, LEATHER ammo pouch, plastic oil bottle, and string bore cleaner. What you see in the picture is what you get. They do not have a muzzle break or a grenade sight, but they are in excellent condition.   They are pricey at $375.   What do you think?
  10. My daughter has got me watching with her. Fun show!
  11. Still rockin! Gotta love uncle Ted!
  12. I bet my wife would be interested too. She doesn't have much experience handeling firearms. Might be a good Christmas gift. Let me know if anything comes together.
  13. +1 for Troy at InRange. Honest, patient with questions. Qucik turnaround. Highest quality work.

    Gun Stolen

Sorry to hear. That really stinks and I hope they catch the low life and you get your wepon back. What year is your Jeep Grand Cherokee? I have one and if there is an issue, I'd like to know.
  15. License received in today's mail. Submitted end of July - the 26th I think.
  16. Still waiting - my application was sent in at the end of July. I called the BATF again last week. I was told that all my paperwork appeared in order. The lady (different one than last time) confirmed they are running 60 days. Sounds like you were fortunate there PapaB. Hopefully mine will arrive in early October. Gave me time to save cash and shop around!
  17. I get a flu shot every year. Work with the public so I worry about what I may get exposed to. I also wash my hand often.
  18. Cool pics! Thank you for sharing.
  19. 5 days left - not a winner yet, although I like they way II Duce thinks!!
  20. Beautiful cat!
  21. If I don't ask...I don't get. I'll be 50 September 19th.
  22. I'm at a loss on what to ask for my birthday and thought I'd turn to TGO for help. Afterall, we have similar interests! I was not thinking firearms - my friends and family are generous but let's be serious! Thought we could have some fun with this one and perhaps surface a great idea or two.
  23. I can reccomend Craig Gartner at Gupton Motors, Springfield, for Sales. Knowlegble, friendly, through, will follow-up. Nice man. I bought a Grand Cherokee from him and I guy I work with also purchased from him. For Service, I use Mircle in Gallitin...ask for Ray. Although I do get my oil changed at American Tire in Hendersonville (bring your own filter for the Penstar). I've also used Bob Frensley in Rivergate for service once (tire rotation).
  24. Lucky man! Happy birthday.
