  1. Go check out www.bladehq.com they have the best prices going,I buy most of  my knives there.I never realy understood that in TN.you can buy and own them for collecting purpose but can't carry them, but I still carry my Halo V with me all the time.
  2. +1 for George at GunSlinger's,and if you want a Les Baer call Crazy John at 1911 Heaven.
  3. Wilson's are worth the price, but you need to find you a master dealer to order through.I just placed an order for a Wilson CQB Elite w/ Bull Bbl.Mag Well,Black Armour Tough finish,Night Sites, and a few extras's.Cost $3495 shipped,Wilson's price $3600+ and a two year wait, the dealer I used saved me quite a bit and he was told a year wait,he made a phone call and it will be ready in 4 months so yes I think they are worth it,but you need to shop a round before you take the plunge.I also have a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special being built and I gave $1965 shipped to my dealer, like I said if you want to spend that kind of money just shop around.
  4. I sent you a PM with some info.just let me know if you want to take me up on my offer anytime,.
  5. Call Crazy John at 1911 HEAVEN and get a Les Baer UTC he will treat you right.
  6. why is legal for Police,Millatry, and Recue Personal(Fire Dept.) to carry a switchblade but for a ordinary law biding person can't ,the Sheriffs Assoc.is a joke and to make comments that a SwitchBlade sounds like a pump action shotgun just goes to show what dumb asses that they are.
  7. Call Crazy John at 1911 Heaven, you can get a Les Baer new for around $1700 + shp.hand.I just ordered a Thunder Ranch Special with some custom features and spent only $1965 shipped to my dealer. 208-772-2339 give him a call and see what he has in stock sometimes he runs some specials, but you have to call his web site is well......
  8. Nice choice in ordering those, you'll like them for sure.
  9. The line was long,I bought some primers, and sold a few items just as I got inside the door.Might go back tommorow and see what I can find.

    help picking 45

If you want to stay under a $1000 for a 1911,try looking at the Springfield Range Officer I picked mine up for about $780 total (with tax and backround) and it shoots as good as my NightHawk GRP,and my Wilson Combat CQB LE.
  11. Some of the Colts I've come in contact with, in the condition you drscribed(40-50%)have been in the $1000-$1400 range but like Garufa stated it's hard to give a price without seeing or inspecting, check and make sure the no#'s all match and look for the proof marks.Remember it's worth only what someone is willing to pay,if you like it and feel comfortable about trading even then go for it.
  12. I went Sat. morning, not a bad show, but the $10 addim.fee well..........any way it seemed there were a fair amount of tabels set up and a few deals, but I left and went to D&T Arms and bought a SpringField Armory Range Officer for a better deal than I could get at the show, but I'll go back to the next one when ever they have it.
  13. I carry the Halo V out the front and I won't carry anything but that.

    .357 1911?

That"s a good deal I'd jump on that one in a minute.
  15. WOW!! I want one, that sure is a fine job you did that thing is wicked.
  16. That's what it's all about, what works for one may not work for another,
  17. I'm going to disagree about using grease on 1911's sorry, but I only use Wilson Combat ULTIMA-LUBE Oil it's ideal for temps.rangeing from 150deg.-10deg.it stays slicker than grease.Grease has a tendacy to "gum" up when the weapon starts to get dirty form shooting,I have had this problem in the past and since I swicthed to oil no problems what so ever,as far as your extractor problems you may ned a new one, allso like someone said before go ahead and change the recoil spring out you can go with the 16.5pound-to an 18pound spring, wolfe springs are great I personaly use an 18pound spring in my 1911's,allso make sure you do a complete detail strip, and a complete cleaning of your gun at least every 1500-2000 rounds that way you can inspect it for worn parts and can lubricate the sear, hammer strut and trigger,I recently had to replace a sear spring in my Les Baer that I found broken, and that 1911 is brand new with only 500rnds.ran through it.Get your self a good book that explains in detail how to do all of this, believe me once you do it a few times it's simple plus you get an understanding of how the 1911 works. Here is a good book for info.on the 1911.THE M1911 COMPLETE OWNER'S GUIDE by WALT KULECK,it has all the info. you need about the 1911.Good luck with your's and I have a feeling it won't be your last one you or your husband will buy.
  18. I have the P2000SK in 357sig. that I carry and I can't say enough about how it shoots,I love it,the only flaw I have is the cost of the ammo(357sig)is'nt cheap to find and the selection is limited, that being said I use CORBON for carry loads and the H&K just eats them up with out a problem.$550 is a great price

Not bad at all,I realy like the OD Green frame, have you shot it yet? just remember to break it in(at least 300-500rnds.) and make sure it functions right, and get some good mags.Wilson Combat,Chip McCormic power mags..ect.
  20.
