I sent you a reply to the PM. you should have it by next weekend, and no it's not a melted brick or anything else you have my word that.
-
PM me your address and I'll send it out to you, I only have one and you can have it. But once you get it you need to post a pic of it.
-
You can have mine, I'll never buy or trade for one ever again.
-
Thanks for the advice, do you remember the size of the pin.

Yeah I have about 8000 loaded and ready to go. I can't wait to run some down it and see how it shoots.

I recently ran across a deal(at least I think so) on a Colt Gold Cup National Match 70 series on another forum that I belong to. I've always wanted one in 70 series and passed on a few due to the price($1200- $2000 plus) this one I got for $850. I checked the serial# on Colts web-site and it showed it was made in 1981. The slide to frame fit is tight with no movement or rattle, has the original box(has seen better days but it is original to the gun) has a collet bushing and it fits tight to the Bbl. front strap has the vertical serrations, original grips. I haven't had time to put some rounds down it yet, but hopefully soon. Here are a few pics.

Post some pics. of the gun with the mag. inserted so we can see what going on. Could be the brand of Mag. or as other's have said it could be the Mag. Release Button, or the Mag Catch.

The sad thing is the day that he shipped it to me I left town to go to work in Evansville IN and won't be back till sometime in November, so I may wrap it up and open it at Christmas lol.

Here are the specs.- 1/4" 1070 Carbon Steel w/ AOL- 14 1/4", Blade is 8 1/2", handle is Cocobolo w/ Red TRU-STONE and White G-10 accents, Guard is the same material as the blade. This is the second knife I had him build and I purchased one of his smaller knives last month that he had listed, I'll post some pics. of all three once I get this one in hand. Thanks for looking.

Here are a couple of pics of a knife that I had him build for me. I got the idea from looking at some Randall Knives and asked him if he could put his spin on a Randall 1-8, and he came through. I can't wait to get this knife in my hands. Thanks again Don and who ever made the Randall style sheath to go along with it.

Shipping from TN to another state...
DJTC45 replied to Ehunt's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I've shipped a few firearms to Gunsmiths I've always used UPS and have never encountered a person who would refuse to ship them, you have to use a UPS hub that does that not one of their drop off places. As far as using the US POST OFFICE all I can say is I've only shipped my slides that way, I was told the only way you can ship a Fire Arm through the POST OFFICE you had to have an FFL. License. The guns that I shipped to Gunsmiths to have work done on them have always been shipped directly back to me at my home address, you just need to be there or have someone sign for it. The Florida FFL. should give you the info. you need as to how they accept Firearm Shipment's from Individuals. -
Thanks I never thought I would be interested in that style but I really like it.

I have a SIG MCX in 300blk, it's their pistol version with a 9"Bbl. and I really like it. This is my first 300blk the only thing I can think of that gets me is the cost of the ammo but I'm going to start reloading my own. Here is a pic, it has the SBS arm brace I'm thinking if doing an SBR with it. I enjoy shooting it and it's fun to shoot. I'm thinking of getting the Geisle Trigger for it also.

Probably some sort of POLICTAL stunt from the anti-gunners. Either way he's a jack ass.
-
Here's the style I use, I'll have to check on what brand it is but it's comfortable to use. This a 9"Bbl. SIG.MCX in 300AAC.

That's why they are called a hand stop, not a grip
-
That's not worth 10k, I personally wouldn't pay over 2k for it, to me that would be to much and I've bought some expensive 1911''s over the years.

I'm not real sure about what bullet weight will work the best this is my first short Bbl. rifle caliber but from what I have read it's suppose to handle a variety of bullets so I'm going to try a few different weights and see what works best, now I need to save up and get a suppressor for it, this has to be the most non "NFA" looking gun that I have ever seen. I'll get it out and see how it runs and functions anyone have any advice on some 300BLK out Ammo to run through this, I'm going to start reloading once I find a good factory round any certain brands that I should try or should stay away from. Thanks.

I just got this about two weeks ago and have been busy adding a few things to top it off. This is a SIG MCX Pistol w/ Sliding Brace in 300BLK. I installed the Troy Battle Sights, TRIGCON MRO, BCM Hand Guards and a Hand Stop. Haven't got to shoot it yet been a little busy, here are the specs. SIG MCX SNAKEBITE lmtd. edition of 300, it has a 9 3/4" Bbl. 1:5 Twist done in two tone FDE/BLACK a Sig Sliding Arm Brace. Let me know what you guys think about it. Here are a couple of pics. and I'll post a range report as soon as I have time to get it out and run some rounds down it.

Well I've got another CQB ELITE and a NIGHTHAWK GRP that I had totally redone from the ground up. I've owned a bunch of entry level guns, my favorite was a SPRINGFIELD RANGE OFFICER it shot and locked up tight just like my higher end 1911"s, besides this was the only pics. I had to show what I was talking about.

Just picked mine up at my FFL.I ordered a .45 SHIELD with out the thumb safety for $338 shipped from GRAB-A-GUN and with the $75 rebate from S & W tat puts me at $263 and my FFL only charged me $25 for the transfer and back ground so add that in and I'm at $288, that leaves some money for another Mag. or two. I'm going to take it out this weekend and run some rnds. down it and break it in.

Is it a .45cal. frame? full size or commander. You will have to have a slide and Bbl. fitted to the frame in order to have it run right, but I have seen some get lucky. You can order a slide and Bbl. from CASPIAN once you know the size of the frame(has to do with the dust cover length and grip length.) This is a Full Size Govt. 5" Bbl., now what I mean by the dust cover is shown in the bottom pick with the slide locked back it is part of the frame length. along with a Slide and a Bbl. you'll need a Bushing and Slide Stop and Bbl. Link. A good gunsmith should be able to fix you up, but if you want a .45 I would just buy a SPRINGFIELD GI Mod. for about $600 (I've seen them cheaper a good used one you might find for $500 maybe less just depends) new or a LOADED for $800. The parts to do the work can be bought used for about $200 maybe less, new is going to be $300 plus for good parts plus you'll have another $200 or so in work. Hope this helps sorry if I confused you more.

I'm ordering my .45 Shield Tues. when I get home.
