  1. This one should be here this week. Started out as a 1962 S&W then ended up at Clark Customs in 1976 to be turned into a PPC competition gun. This one is in 38spl.
  2. I got away from them when I refinanced our home loan back in February, I switched to my Credit Union for a 15yr and got some cash out to help with my medical issues. Wells Fargo sent me a letter that they would no longer offer a refinance with cash back. I also changed due to their fraudulent actions with their customers, as far as I'm concerned they can go belly up.
  3. I carry my Staccato P DPO w/HOLOSUN 507C X2, I never noticted it fogging up when going from a air-conditioned building to the outside. But I've been carrying it appendix style not sure if that makes a difference or not.
  4. I got one on my Staccato P DPO, that I carry daily. It's a great optic in my opinion especially when it comes to changing out the batteries you don't have to remove it. I've got probably 500rnds down it without a problem.
  5. Here's another one. Rickops sent me a message to call someone in Ohio.
  6. Just got a PM from someone who just joined 40min ago about me looking for a S&W K-22. He said I should call Alex in Washington. I reported it to the administration and sent a PM about it to one of them. This is just getting crazy, it really hurts new members cause I will only deal with established members here that I've done business with before.
  7. I know what your going through, we have lost three over the years and it's not easy. I know some people say there just animals, but a true pet lover knows that's not true. I've got my little buddy right now in my lap. My wife and I will pray for Molly and hope everything is well.
  8. I only have 110,000 of them, not sure if I could spare any.
  9. Yeah if you want to sell your first born and a kidney. I'm about tired of the gouging that's going on. I believe a person needs to make a profit, but these prices are ridiculous, I was on Gunbroker just looking and 5000 Small Pistol Primers were going for $995 - $1500 with four or more days left in the auction. It's cheaper for me to buy ammo than reloading components nowadays. If I had any believe me I would help you out and it would only cost you a( big toe) just kidding but if I did I'd offer them to you for what I paid for them, I guess I need to sell all my LG Pistol Primers and I could retire comfortably, or buy more guns.

Just picked it up at Goodlettsville Gun Shop, they are great to deal with on transfers. Here are some more pics.
  11. Thanks I just sent him a message on his site.
  12. I thougt about that, but I might as well let someone who has all those tools to do the job. I'm just looking for a good rifle smith somewhere in TN. so I don't have to ship it out to have it done, if there aren't any smiths around here to do the job, I'll either send it off to be done, or have it broken apart and a new action installed. This is a custom built gun by RITTEN PRECISION out of Louisiana, he's no longer building anymore, and this is a $4000 gun.
  13. Where it broke at, there is a piece missing that creates a gap. I'm not looking to repair,I want a one piece bolt.
  14. It's sad but true. The other day I was at a local LGS and was just looking around, they had some AR's and I was looking through the rack and found that they had about 5 S&W MP 15's for $750-$800 thought to my self that isn't a bad price, then it hit me the ammunition will cost me more than the AR, so I just put it back and came home.
  15. I thought about that, but it can't be re-welded, I would rather have a one piece Bolt from PP&G so I won't have that problem ever again. If they were to be able to weld it I would still need to make sure the "timing" is right when you operate the bolt. Thanks for posting that link, but I'm going to try to find someone to just fit me a new one piece bolt.
  16. Great to know about the tax savings, but any new guns that you wants along with the any ammo will cost you more than the safe.

I looked at their site, I don't care for the finger groove style. But thanks for replying, I've searched online but for some reason there aren't a whole lot of choices anymore.
  18. Yeah I thought about that, just wasn't sure he could do that type of work, I'll stop by this week and see about it.
  19. I need a new Bolt for my Remington 700 in 308cal. It had a two piece PP&G Bolt in it, but dumb ass me knocked it off my gun bench and right onto the concrete floor were I didn't have any mats down just incase I did drop something, it hit right on the Handle and broke. I contacted a smith in Cumberland City that said he could do it, but covid hit and I never heard back from him so I could drop it off fir him to do. Is there any good rifle smiths around middle TN. or with in a reasonable driving distance of the Nashville area. Thanks for any information.

Those are nice, well hopefully mine will ship this week or next. Can't wait to get it. I've been looking for some grips where is a good place to find some, I did a search but didn't come up with to many. I checked out Rogers Grips and he has some nice ones on his site. I'll post some pics when it gets here.

Yeah I was searching and found a few but your right they are pricey, almost as much as the Ammo.

Thanks, I believe I got a good deal on it since I've been looking for a 3" Bbl. 29. Gonna order some different wood grips for it once I find a set that I like.

Those Grips are classic compact grips from Eagle Grips, it also comes with the original Pachmayr Grips that it shipped with from the factory. He put the wood grips on to see if they would work. Does anyone know were I could find a set of Craig Spigel Grips for it. Thanks I'll post some more pics and info when it gets here, can't wait I've searched everywhere for one of these and every time I could find one it either sold or was out of my reach on price, but I got a good deal on it and I'm satisfied with what I gave for it.

Just snagged this one off another forum I belong to. It's a 1989 S&W Mod. 29 w/ 3"Bbl. Can't wait to get it in.
  25. Both of those brands are good, not sure of your budget but if it were me and I'll wanted a base gun to do some upgraded customization on I would look at a Springfield Armory GI basic model. Then depending on if you are going to do the work your self then I would send the Slide to Novack for upgrading the sights, then I'd head over to John Harrison website and pick up the rest of the parts you would need to customize it your self. If you are going to make a carry gun I'd change out the GI style safety, GI Beaver Tail for a Modern one, and get a John Harrison colplete Trigger upgrade kit(his is about the best). If your really wanting one of the other two I'm sure that everything I listed could be had at his site, look it up and give him a call and explain to him what you are wanting to do and he'll give you his honest opinion on what mods are best for your budget. Good luck on your search and report back your decision.
