  1. Great report, looks like a keeper. I'm going to have to find one.
  2. Looks good with those grips. That would make a great base gun for Novack to work on. Enjoy I've been on the search for one myself, let us know how it shoots.
  3. Five posts and this is all you can come up with, good lord. Put some more tinfoil on.
  4. Aim Point Pro, Leupold, Vortex, and a few others that market towards the AR. I prefer the Aim Point brand, I had a AimPoint Pro that offered quick shots at 30yrds or less, and it was capable of 100yrd. groups.
  5. Good topic, I'm sorry for your loss. It's tough, I know that for a fact my mother died in my arms due to cancer she was 58. My father never got over that they were married for 42yrs. My father passed away at 65 of a massive heart attack, I wasn't there but when he had that one and the people who were around him said he got up from the table walked out side stared upwards toward the sky, came back in sat down and took a drink of his scotch, looked over at the lady he was dating and said to call my sister cause he wasn't going to make it back from this one, collapsed and died right there. My phone rang at 4am I jumped up and told my wife to grab that cause that was my sister calling and I new that he had passed cause I had a dream that I can still remember to this day, it was my mother and him and a couple of other relatives that passed away, they were all gathered around my mom and dad then the phone rang and I knew. Now I'm fighting a battle, since the end of 2020. I went for some stints and ended up staying in the hospital and had to have open heart surgery, 5 bypasses, came out of that like a new man but before they did the operation my heart Dr came in and said he wanted to run a couple of tests. He said I was really low on my blood count, he said they could give me three pints and I wouldn't be back to normal. Did a scope of my throat and stomach cause he thought that maybe I had a bleeding alser, but that wasn't it, next day I had a full body pet scan and colonoscopy. Well it turned out that besides the heart surgery that I was scheduled for on Sunday I had a tumor in my colon and three spots on my liver they did the biopsy on both and turned out it was postive for cancer. The Oncologist came in the next day and my surgical team was there explaining to me and my wife about my heart surgery. He came in and asked if he could talk to us and my heart Dr. He went on to explain that I had cancer of the colon and liver stage 4(go big or go home) well the heart surgery went great I felt better than I ever had. Then on January 7th( my birthday 55yrs old) we met with my Oncologist and started my Chemotherapy Treatments that I've been going every two weeks for the last year and five months what a schedule. I asked him to be straight forward and tell me my chances, well they gave me a 5yr window to hopefully get it under control. So far it's been working but I asked him last month were we stand, and he said we would keep this schedule until it quits working and he said it would eventually stop and we would have to start on another path. So I thought about all that and went and made my arrangements so my wife wouldn't have to face that. So hopefully I won't need their service till I'm 80, but I made my peace with god a long time ago when I was around 40. Well it's in his hands and my Dr's for now and I've accepted it, and try to live every day like it's my last, so everyone who reads these two posts, please try to do something good every day even if it's just holding open a door for someone, or letting them in front of you in line, to helping out anyone who needs help. God bless.
  6. That one has the large letter roll mark, bluing looks good from the pics. do you know if it was refinished or orginal. How much does he want for it, I've seen them go for as low as $900-$1500+ for ones with the original finish, does he have the orginal Colt Box, and paperwork. Looks in good shape also does it have a Collett Bbl. Bushing.

Picked this up at Goodlettsville Gun Shop, I orered it out of KY. and got a good deal on it. Also got a SB TACTICAL Folding Brace, SUREFIRE Forend, I also ordered a Rail for it should be here Saturday. I'll post some more pictures once I get everything put on.
  12. Thanks for the information, I agree that owning a SBR should be allowed just like a standard Rifle. I was just wondering cause half the stuff you see is somewhat miss leading.
  13. This bill seems as useless as tits on boar hog. What were they thinking when they introduced this.
  14. I've seen several videos on YouTube lately talking about how TN is moving forward with a bill that would alow us to own/ have an SBR without going through the ATF/Tax Stamp at the state level only. Is there any truth to this or is it bull crap information.
  15. Your better off having one fit, you may have to adjust the extractor a little bit but it's very doable. I would get a Kart Bbl. Kit and you'll probably want to get a new Bbl. Bushing to match your new Bbl. Should be pretty straight forward but make sure the gunsmith you take it to for the work isknowledgeable on the 1911. Look up Kart Bbl.'s they have a drop in kit I believe, but I'd rather have one of there gunsmith fitted Bbl's. Wilson Combat, and NightHawk have Bbl.'s also you can check out, also Barsto.
  16. One of the local news stations reported that she took her own life. Sad to hear that. RIP.
  17. They said he used to work at the TN Dept. of Correction. I believe he moved away from TN. They said he had "ties" to TN were he used to work, I think they said he was 23yrs. old.
  18. I was flipping through the news stations on tv this afternoon and seen were the first American Volunteer was killed in Ukraine during the fighting. They said he was from here in TN. had a wife and a 7 month child at home. I don't know what to think of it.
  19. You take one little nap and "boom" you miss a couple of great knives. Congrats to the buyer, those look great.
  20. That was quick. Those look great as usual sir, congrats to the members who bought those.
  21. PM me with trade options, and a few prices on the tool boxes you would want to trade for, maybe we could work out something if I have what your looking for, or if you get any trade ins or maybe some small damage to any that might keep you from selling any hit me up.
  22. This is a good deal, if my garage was cleaned out to were I could put it I'd jump on this. But I've got no room for it right now. Free bump, PM me on what you would like to trade for.
  23. I'm not quite on my deathbed not close enough yet(hopefuly), Stage 4 Colon Cancer, Stage 4 Liver Cancer. I'm 56yrs young, I've been a Union Pipe Welder for 36yrs started when I was 18yrs old working with my father in the trade. We would put in 16hrs-18hrs a day seven days a week, sometimes in 3 month stretches straight. It does take a toll on you body and mind, especially when you spend anywhere between 3-7 months away from home in another state200mi to 800miles from home and only comming home maybe two or three times during the work span. I had to take a Disability Retirement from my job due to the effects of the Chemotherapy and having to do that every 2weeks now for a year and 4months and still going to have to keep up that schedule until it quits working. The hours I've worked over the years and being laid-off when the job was done, I would come back home and maybe not work for 3months before I got another job sometimes here in Tn, other times I had to travel to other states for work and the wages they were paying and the overtime they offered (you end up paying two mortgage's one for your motel bill, and the house you own here in TN. with out the overtime and benefits like healh, retirement, and other benefits that you need to carry you for 3-6months not working, try that sometimes). I agree with you on not killing yourself when your working long hrs. on the job, we all have better things to do than spend your weekends grinding out the work. I chose this type of work cause I really enjoyed it, it's something special and stressful job cause you sometimes need to pass the exray test they do, I've worked on high-pressure Natural Gas Pipelines, 100% exray on every weld you do screw up twice collect your check and head out to another job. What a living. Here's a picture of a main steam line i one of the local Power Houses. This Pipe is 3 1/4" thick and is made of 90% chrome, 10% carbon and is 20" in diameter. Took 12 welders 6 on days, 6 on nights for seven day's straight 12hrs. a day. My point to this rambling is that I was able to do the Disability Retirement, and the Social Security Disability and still enjoy our life, without working all those hrs. and days there is no way I could afford the med. insurance for my treatment ($9800.00) every two weeks, don't think that I don't pay for my health insurance just because I worked in the Union, far from the truth I pay $1100 amonth comes out of my retirement check just for med. insurance. So the time spent from home, all the hrs. I worked over those years have kept a roof over are heads food on the table, and still live somewhat comfortably not Elon Musk comfortable but ordinary pepole comfot.
  24. Nice looking Bowie and sheath you two are great at what you do. I'll be in contact in the fall , that will give me enough time to come up with another challenge for you and 1911alltheway.
