I made a mistake in picking out Guns and Leather in Hendersonville and I'll never get another one transferred through them ever again. I was on my way home and stopped in to see if they could do the transfer for 1968 Colt Gold Cup that I bought from another forum I belong to. I asked if they would do it and they said sure, well I gave him the FFL's information and he sent it while I was looking around. He said it went through and he just received the other FFL's information. I said okay and thanks they said they would call me when it came in but suggested that I track it also, no problem sir, I said as I walked out the door. Got a call from them that Friday mid morning that it was there and to stop by when I had time. I went there sometime in the late afternoon and filled out the background check and waited a few minutes and he came over and said I was good to go, headed to the register to pay them I handed him $35 cause I thought that was what they charged, well he then told me that the transfer was $65. I stood there for a minute and asked him why it was double of what other dealers charge, his answer was that is what they charge and if I didn't want to pay that to bad go somewhere else. I admit I didn't ask then what they charged I just assumed it was what I paid at some other dealers, the only reason I stopped there was it was on my way home. Lesson learned the hard way, but I learned it.

Yeah what a "first post". Good Grief Charlie Brown. -
Man $50 transfer fee is high, the FFL I use only $25 transfer fee + $10 back ground fee. I don't know if the one I use charges a fee for denials, I've only had that happen once and that was 6yrs. ago at a gunshow, and two days later on Monday I received an email from the state that I was approved. So I went to the gunshop that I purchased from at the gunshow that the denial was over turned and to proceed with the transfer, I only had to pay $35 for it. It could be that the FFL Dealer you use has that policy and should have told you upfront about it. I'd find another FFL if possible and make friends with that FFL buy stopping in and maybe buying a box of ammo or cleaning supplies every now and then, then when it comes to you needing a transfer they might just take care of you Just my opinion but that's what I did and I've made probably 25-30 Transfers through mine in the last year and a half.

Those are nice, if you have any blued Smith&Wesson Revolvers I'd be interested. Free bump.

That's for sure, hopefully.

Thanks guy's, I figured I would start a collection of Smith&Wessons. Ever since I got this damn cancer diagnosis, I figured that I would contact a fellow that I've bought a few from to purchase all of them when I'm gone. Hopefully not in the next few months lol.....

I can vouch for that, he is a true leather craftsman. He's made me a few holsters and a knife sheaths.

Just picked it up at Goodlettsville Gun Shop.

It's hotter than two rats screwing in a wool sock. Can't wait till mid July and August.

Not trying to offend, but you need to pay attention to what section you post in, I seen were you just joined on June 8.

Yeah it sucks, but once you have it cooled down and leave it there the AC doesn’t run that much as it would if you turned it up during the day and then when you get home and turn it down even a couple of degrees it will run longer. I hear you about the cost, sucks that TVA adds a fuel charge to your already high enough electric bill it just doesn't make sense to me since I've done a bunch of work at their plants. The only time they use fuel is to get the boilers light after that it's just crushed up coal dust that gets blown into the inside of the boilers, and they always have a mound of coal, but I guess the freight costs for delivering it is what they are putting on your bill.

I have to keep it cool, my wifes MS really flares up when it's hot out. It stays on 67-70 even in the winter time unless it's really cold outside. Once it cools down it pretty much stays like that in here as long as the blinds and curtains stay shut, plus the fans help out a lot.
-
Yeah it's hot,and it isn't even the end of July first part of August yet. But I'm comfortable here in the house drinking a beer, 67° in here.

Thanks, I've been on a run lately this one I believe makes #14 Smith&Wesson Revolvers I've bought in the last six months.

I purchased this one last night from an individual that I bought from before. This is a .22cal with a 6"Bbl and orginal box, I believe it was made between 1978-1979. Should be here next week, he's out of town until this Friday so I can pay him for it.9

I own a few automatic watches, around 15 Swiss made Invicta back when they were made in Switzerland. Most have the 7750 Movement. I just bought this one last month it's a Swiss made aouto Piolts watch, I'm looking to add an Omega Moon Watch to my collection ssoon. Here's the new one I just got, I'll get the Invicta's together and post some pics of them later on.

Everything looks good as far as the stock fitment, there are no gaps anywhere that I can tell. And the finish is spot on what they originally were.

Here's a couple of more.

Picked this one up yesterday at my FFL. I bought it on another forum I belong to, it has SA Reciever, SA GI Bolt, SA GI Trigger Group, and a SA Oprod and a Krieger Bbl. Even though it's a CMP rebuild it looks great to me. Here's some pics let me know what you think about it.

Got a few more things in the mail for it. 4 more HK 30rnd. mags, and a HOLSUN 510 that I just installed still need to put in the new flat trigger pack I bought a couple of weeks ago. Once I get that installed I'm heading to the range and try it out.

Just got these in today's mail. First one is their new Tactical Knives series, this one has a SV35 Blade Steel and is a Frame Lock in OD Green. Second one is their Trapper Prayer Series of Knives. This one has some special meaning to me since I've been going through Chemotherapy Treatments for a year and 5months, I'm going to carry this one in my pocket as a reminder to keep fighting to be able to beat it. Thanks for lookin.
