Well I tore it all down the other day to get ready for some parts I ordered for it. I got the Holosun 508T, Wilson Combat Bullet Proof Single Side Thumb Saftey, and a Cheely Medium Flat Trigger that I had already. Everything went smoothly, few swipes of the file and the Trigger dropped in without a problem, then I did the same to the new Thumb Saftey and it went in without a problem. The Thumb Saftey clicks on and off with a snap but smoothly so off to the range the middle of next week and run some rnds. down it and the other three I have.

Ford vs Chevy vs GMC (not an argument thread!)
DJTC45 replied to Handsome Rob's topic in General Chat
I've owned both in the past, I couldn't tell if one was better than the other. I do know for some reason the GMC brought more in trade in value than the Chevrolet with amost the same package. Don't know why but that had been my experience with both. -

The used market is high as far as Trucks go, especially if you have to get a 3/4 Ton for the long bed. I was looking at the possibility of trading my "VERB" 2007.5 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 ST Diesel w/ Cummins 6.7, they wanted just as much as what I paid new for mine back in 2007 when I bought it with 26mi on it. Well the old "VERB" has 280,655mi on it now, put a new Transmission in at 185,000. One thing probably different about my Truck, all that emissions crap "fell off at 20,000mi". I've had the front end completely rebuilt over time, of course new shocks, and basic maintenance that any brand of vechile would require. I'm going to replace the water pump with an after market one even though the original is not leaking, I do need to replace the Oil Cooler and Gaskets, just developed a small leak but nothing major yet. I figured that spending a few bucks here to keep it going was better than paying today's prices even used and having a monthly payment. I drive it daily and wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive to California and back right now. I guess the best advice is do your research on what you want, used or new and set a budget as to what your willing to buy and if you can make a good deal for a cash price that would be the way I would go, but if you can afford the payments then put a healthy down-payment on one that will lower your monthly payments. Good luck on finding what you want to suit your needs. -
The ones I found are $2000+, so I don't know how that compares to the Dan Wesson's in price guess it depends on the model of them.

What product are you going to use. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Well these are known as a 2011, the two C's I have use a Single Stack Mag. and the C2 and this CS uses Double Stack Mags. These are in 9mm and I got into these a couple of years ago, I had five at one time but sold two of them, P 4.14 Full Rail the other one I sold was the P DPO 4.14. I carry my C's more they are a little more comfortable due to the size. These are soft fast shooting guns, are they worth $2000+ well you'd have to make that decision for your self If you ever shot one of the Staccato's you'd see what I'm saying about how they shoot. And there are other brands of the 2011 that are $4000+ are they worth it, probably to someone they are. Downfall to the 2011 Platform is the cost of Mags. $60+ and that turns some people away from the 2011 style guns. Where are you located at, I would be willing to bring them all to a range with ammo and let you run a few rnds. down them then you can tell me if they are worth it, I live in the Whitehouse area if you ever go to any of the indoor ranges around the Nashville area I gladly meet you. At one time I had 12+ 1911's, that included Wilson Combat CQBE's that were built to order, at least four Les Baer's, a couple of NightHawk's, Colts, and Springfield's, but I sold all but one Wilson Combat CQBE, were they worth the money did they shoot any better than a $499 1911, probably not it all depends on who's behind the trigger. But every one of those preformed like they should, and I never had a problem with any of them. I decided to get away from the 45acp due to my Cancer Diagnosis that I got two years ago, the 45 just hammered my hands to much due to the Neuropathy which is a side effect from the Chemo, the Staccato's in 9mm that I carry now and shoot don't beat my hands up like the 45acp did. Just let me know if you ever want to try one out we could make arrangements to meet at a range all you need to do is pay your range fee and I'll bring the rest. I'll get some pics of the other three Staccato's I have and post them here. Not sure I answered your question.

Just picked this up from my FFL, my new Staccato CS. Feels good in my hands, Trigger pull is good but I'm gonna change it out for a flat faced trigger. It's close in size of my two Staccato single stack C's, and the C2 I have. I've got a Holosun 508T coming in tomorrow so I'll mount it and get everything ready to head to the range and run it against the other 3.

Sure thing your next in line, I'll let you know.

Is it against any rules to post a good deal in a gun shop on a firearm?
DJTC45 replied to jeff43's topic in General Chat
I'd post a good deal unless it was something I wanted then you'd be out of luck..... -

Well given the growth in Nashville and the surrounding areas it's not a big surprise to me when I got mine. TAXES and DEATH are a sure thing.

I've found a couple that I like, trying to figure out what one if the three I found forsale that I want. That one has seen some better days, but at least it functions properly and you don't have to worry about scratching that one.

That is one clean square body. I've been slowly replacing parts on my 2007.5 6.7 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel, bought it new in 07 with 23mi on the od it now has 280,250mi on it. New Transmission at 186,000, front end totally done about six months just need to have the front bearings looked at, got a new water pump and oil cooler and belt that I'll try to install in a couple of weeks, just had the rear brakes and rotors replaced yesterday believe it or not the rears had about 180,000mi on them and just started squeaking last week, the Engine Exhaust Brake makes a difference. Now my AC Compressor took a crap the other day so I'll need to replace it soon, vechile prices are just crazy I looked at some at the end of 2022 and the same style of truck I have was $68,700 base price let alone the extras brought it up to $72,000+ and they had four used ones with 80,000-110,000mi on them and they still wanted more than I paid new for mine. Crazy I don't see how they are selling anything at these prices but I guess some just have to have the newest model, me I'll keep doing basic maintenance on mine till it just won't go any further then haul it to the scrap yard.
