Update, got a few more parts in. Stock, 25rnd. mag. and a Mag Release Paddle made of aluminum and larger than the plastic one.
-
Those look great. I had twenty Smith&Wesson Revolvers in my collection at one time, but things happen and I sold most of them. I still have a couple. Nice collection
-
I bought a pair of Nick's Boots in the Mock Toe with a Leather Sole and Dodger Heel. They are expensive but the quality of them is great bit your right about the price, plus I had to wait for about Twelve weeks for them to be made.
-
Moved on to the Stock Block, had to do a little fitting to get it to slide into the UMP Lower. It fits nice and snug, all that's left is to install the stock and a few more little parts and cut the side vents put everything back together and function test it then color the upper black and this project should be done.
-
I then put the bolt in without the spring, attached the Lowe with the mag and a round in it and tilted the upper and lower downward and gave it a "jolt" by hand and it stripped the round off the mag and the bolt captured it perfectly.

Got a few more parts in. Got the Mag Well inlarged to accept the UMP Double Stack 25rnd mags, it just needs cleaned up a little.
-
Got some more parts in today. Going to see about making a "jig" for cutting the side vents, I did the bottom slot without a jig and it came out okay, just a hair off but the rail will cover it, not perfect but pretty good for free hand. Going to work on the Mag well since I got one of the 25rnd UMP Mags in hopefully tomorrow. Pictures to be posted soon. Thanks for checking out my thread, it's been a fun project and learning lessons.

I always bought my regular size and they fit great.
-
I hope it turns out good lol.... I'll post pictures of the project as it goes along and when the parts get in.

That brand of boot I've worn for years at work. I have two pair of their Moc Toe Steel Toed Boots, and a pair of the Slip on boots, most comfortable pair of work boots I ever bought. They were comfortable from day one and only got better. Buy a pair and you'll see.

That's what I'm working on now, almost got it done. I've got a UMP 25rnd Mag coming in with the stock block and a couple other things. I'll finish that up once it gets here. Now I just got to figure out the vents next.

I got the UMP Lower fit to the USC Upper, I took a Round File and used the old USC Lower as a guide and marked it with some tape. Lightly filed the Hooks on the UMP Lower till I got it fit up to the USC upper, turned out pretty good, next will be enlarging the Mag portion of the USC Upper to be able to use the UMP Double Stack Mag and lay out the Vents and figure out how to cut them and all that is left is to put it all back together and check functions before coloring the Grey USC Upper to Black to match everything else. So far it's been a good project, can't wait to get it done. I'm going to leave the 16"USC Bbl. for now still deciding if I want to go the form 1 route. Stay tuned for the finished project. Thanks for looking.

I bought this H&K USC 45acp last week. Got to reading and searching for some upgrades that I could do. I purchased a new Complete UMP Lower, Stock Block to add a Folding stock to it, XS Tritium Front Sight, and a few other things.

for-sale 1980 S&W 25-2 45acp Conversion-$1500
DJTC45 replied to DJTC45's topic in Firearms Classifieds
I have searched both of those smiths and the majority of their builds were 2 5/8"Bbl's they did do some 3" also. But to clarify my add I never said it was built by either, just that some others had commented it " Looked like", and I said: "I know that a number of other gunsmiths did this also".That's why I posted that I don't know who done it, but it is well done, I don't want someone to think it was done by those two. -

Here's another one you don't see often. $1500 CASH FTF. This started out a 1980 THE 1955 MODEL TARGET it's Bbl. has been shortened to 3" THE 1955 TARGET MODEL was not stamped on the Bbl. it's my understanding that most were not Re-Stamped due to the 3"Bbl. and the N Frame Square Butt was converted to the K Frame Round Butt so K Frame Grips are what fit it. No Box. I've had a few S&W pepole say that it could be a Jovino or Austin Behlert but I do know that a few other gunsmith did this type of conversations in the late 60' to the late 80's. I don't know for sure who done the work, but it was done correctly and looks good. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin and N Nashville area's, but I can drive half way to meet if your serious about buying it. Thanks for looking. Here's some pictures of it. There is some marks on the right side of the Bbl. from taking it out of the safe and has the S&W Cylinder Turn Ring on it as shown in pics. Rnd. Count is unknown but from the pictures it wasn't fired much from what I can tell.

Back up to the top. Thanks for the comments, this is truly a great S&W 22lr. I have never fired it, and from the looks of it the previous owner didn't shoot it much from what he told me, it belong to his father.
