  1. SNICKER...SNORT...
  2. got the same email...lead core bullets. 1946 and early '50s manufacture. Lead core with the tip filed off...hunting ammo!!
  3. I've seen a couple of beauties....and I was offered ten dollars for my Great Plains Mountain Flinter. I'm also seeing those fake ML's for 50 or 60 bucks...you know the ones...look like modern bolt guns. Thompson Center Hawken is a bastardized reproduction. Single wedge, coil spring lock. 1:48. They do have some pretty wood though. When you get down to it..a gun is worth what you're offered for it and what you're willing to take.
  4. Pawn shop price out the door is $125.00
  5. Bought my first Mauser for $17.00...out the door...of course it was in 1966.
  6. percussion? snap a couple of caps...after you're sure it's not loaded... flint? check for load...snap the cock and check for spark. good spark...prime and aim it at some grass...grass moved in the breeze....shoot that puppy. Also...half cock and TRY...really TRY to make the hammer fall. Half cock is about all the safety you're gonna get...unless it's a high class first quality Manton...some of those have a sliding bar safety. Welcome to the addiction that's worse than heroin. Mmmmmm the smell of 3f in the morning.
  7. I googled it there's a You Tube
  8. the m57 is easier to take apart. If all you really want to shoot is the cartridge...CZ 52...highly accurate. With a 52 you don't need a medium range rifle 100 yard accuracy is great. can't say that about a lot of handguns.
  9. I shoot a Great Plains .54...the only thing that would better would be a Uberti Santa Fe Hawken. Slant hooked breech, .53 cal and better wood. fffflinch much?
  10. ..Absolutely beautiful holster. Did you make it?
  11. https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=293 Magazine
  12. Wanna sell it?
  13. Shot the M69...extremely accurate and holds more than one shot.
  14. The day of the cheap hex is over. AIM has round receivers for 89.95
  15. there's one in the pawn shop in Clinton. 495$ the one on the right going north on Clinton hwy
  16. Removing those handguard end caps is a lot harder than you think. They have a metal spike that digs into the wood. you have to figure out away to pull the spike out before you can get the caps off. when you do get the spikes to fold back up, the metal arch changes. Experience here. I refinished my Mosin. 7.62 x 54R . com wouldn't post my pictures because I refinished it.
  17. Built my own with a second cylinder from a brass framed spanish .36 Drilled it out and honed on it until the 38 special case would slide out of all six. 38's are 357...so is a .36. 7 to 10 grains of 2f. push in a ball.cut a notch in the spanish hammer, forged a firing pin out of a 16d nail. hardened it. bang. Sold it.
  18. Back when I was a kid....under 40...I made all my own holsters. Double needle stitching and artificial sinew is the way to go.
  19. in Michigan, it's a felony to be in possession of a crossbow...but every gunshop and hardware store carries them.
  20. i have mosins love 'em. i lust after a k31
  21. Most Mosins I have found in Pawn Shops have been sold after ONE round has been shot. Usually the empty case is still in the gun..."The damn thing won't shoot." Clean it first. any pawnshop will give you 25 bucks for it if you don't. I'll give you 25 bucks for it.
  22. Clinton and Merchants...1952. 11 in an oval...Polish. Excellent workmanship 189.00 If I had the money...I'd buy it
  23. I figure I'll get off about 5 rounds before I get killed. SKS or Mosin fits me and I can shoot either well enough. My cz 70 for social distances. Also, I'm figuring it's going to be us against whoever the republicans send to collect the weaponry. They dearly hate anyone to have the ability to fight back. I will not go gently into the night. Head shots
  24. They are a pretty good gun that works. Can't ask for more than that.
