bajabuc replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not me...old 5 buck a gallon of gas let me know his politics were for sale on a cash only basis. -
You are helping some girls with a hobby that could end up being a lifestyle. My sister in law river guides for a living. During the winter she goes to South America and guides there. Maybe I can get her to send mr some of her scary pictures.

Trying to find what gun type was issued.

+1 and I like it -
Ever have a test where the answer list went like this? A B C D E A and B B and C None of the Above All of the above. I had one...and I knew the correct answer. All of the above...except all of the above included none of the above and therefore all of the above could not be right. The ensuing argument ended up going from the Asst Principal to the Principal to the Superintendent to the school board. I lost. After the settlement, the Math teacher came to me and said, "David, you were right. you read what I wrote and not what I meant. I'mm givimg you the question."

M-14 was beginning to be issued to special troops in 1957. so no M14 Sargents were "sometimes" issued 1911's, tommy guns, m1 rifle, m1 carbine A few Browning HiPowers, Colt .38 revolvers "Might be issued" Issued and acquired are two different things. Sargents didn't carry BMG Thanks Wiki -

Tennessee senators refile bid to expand forest

You can horseback in ...but you have to haul the poop out. Most people don't and it's pretty hard to prove it's your horse who laid the brown egg...but it's still on the Wilderness books. Wyoming and Montana have Wilderness Areas up the yazoo and I've dug archaeological sites in a few. The fun sites are the WW2 planes and more modern helicopter crashes. They call it archaeology but it's mostly trash removal. -

Chain fire is something you don't want to experience...Me...just once. My wife's brother (to separate him from my wife's sisters husband, the shootist, recalling that I am the shootee) said, "Cowpucky! That was loud! WTF? Oooo, that don't look good." And it wasn't good. The grip and everything up to and including the cylinder pin, but not the cylinder, was still in my hand, my hand was still attached to my arm, the remainder of the revolver KIT was scattered here and there. I started laughing. We gathered up what could be found, took it in to K-Mart or walmart (remember those days) and they replaced it. I built another.

We meet once a month at Mr Gaddis and discuss the general condition of man, and I opened my big mouth and said, "How many here support the Second Amendment?" The response was 100%. Most of the group is half my age. I was amazed. This created a whole new discussion the lasted to near closing. The discussion went from guns to the evils of Nashville policies to govenrment in general. The consensus was, "Pay attention to what the idiots are doing." And history...if you don't know history you'll make the same mistakes again.

Finn Moisen...great wood...awful bore. There were a few long arms...lots of revolvers and a couple of "interesting" singleshots. Norinco SKS x 2. A very pretty Parker double. Lots of points and interesying NA things.

Well...excuuuse me. Brass Framed BP guns are for looking at...Uberti (the best of the reproductions) are for shootin'. I'm sure, in combat situations, that the shooter had plenty of time to measure with a .38 case...oh wait...they didn't have .38 cases. They didn't have .38's. However...the Civil War proved that the south could make some great brass framed copies. A fairly common battlefield find, in the early years of digging around battlefields) were empty, and a few full, cylinders...and rarely, wedges. I got my info on loading from diarys and journals of the men most likely to be able to afford to buy a Colt...the officers.

does it really matter...he's dead...you can't shoot him again I have stories about the accuracy of the press. I think most of them were the gossip spreaders in highschool

since I only hunt with black powder flintlocks, I usually carry a tinderbox and a flint and steel. Metal Altoid boxes are great because the design is pre 1820. It takes some prep though. Keeping a fire going in the rain is a lot harder than starting one.

this just in...a typed in description from an ebay add This walnut stock is semi-inletted and I cannot find any flaws, what you see is what you get. If you buy and it's not what you thought, my return policy is pretty liberal, you will only be out the return shipping. It measures 33 inches in length overall, and the screwholes for the trigger guard/floorplate assembly measure right at 7 3/4 inches center to center. The trigger guard inlet measures 8 3/8 inches end to end, and the magazine well is 1 1/16 wide at the widest point. Will ship in the US for $12, and will accept Paypal, check or MO. Questions welcome, thanks for looking! Notice the paypal, check or MO?
