  1. I'm with DaddyO on this one. Seems like a plant. Drum up a bunch of hype to sway the masses and get the guns.

  4. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/875/576/677/ I did not see this on a quick search of the site... if it's already in here please combine. This is news to me. I thought something would eventually come out the the shootings.
  5. I was wondering today, as I carry everyday, mostly while traveling by car for work, has anyone on here been in a car accident while carrying? If you have to be taken away to a hospital what happens to your pistol?

  9. Just got around to reading this tonight. To me it's a shame that the courts seem stacked against the good people. Don't defend yourself unless you are going to DIE! Can't help but think there are some founding fathers rolling over right now.

  16. Here's a link to the article I mentioned. I might have missed something or not understood what the writer was saying. Please take a look and correct me where needed. Thanks Defining Handgun Accuracy | Handguns | Guns & Ammo
  17. I am reminded of this: A man is sitting on his porch as flood waters rise. A woman floats by in a boat, asking if the man needs help. "No, thank you," says the man, "I'm trusting in the Lord." The waters rise higher, sending the man upstairs. A raft full of people floats by his second story window. "Get in," they say, "there's plenty of room." "No thanks," says the man, "I'm trusting in the Lord." The flood waters keep rising, pushing the man up to the roof. A helicopter swoops in, lowering its ladder for the man. "Thanks anyway," shouts the man, "I'm trusting in the Lord." Finally, the man is swept away in the torrent and drowns. At the gates of Heaven, the man asks God, "Why didn't you save me?" "What do you mean?'' replies God, "I sent two boats and a helicopter."
  18. Thanks guys. This all helps. I'm trying to gauge my shooting ability as it is now. Since I am only shooting at indoor ranges I can not rapid fire. Slow fire only. I found an article from Guns and Ammo that goes over target pistol accuracy and what you can except from different types of pistols. Revolver / Full size auto / compact auto / old / new...etc but the biggest thing the writer mentioned is custom ammo. Seems that slow fire with a custom full size pistol and with custom ammo you can look at 1 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. And some can even take that out to 100 yards. Most factory guns vary between 2 to 6 inch groups at 25 yards. This is with the shooter using sandbag rests. I am shooting a stock G19. Currently I shoot at a torso target and can put all the shots into the bull or 9 at 15 yards. Seems I have a way to go in both gear/ammo and ability/practice.
  19. Can someone point me to a source that discusses handgun target accuracy? Website, book, person... Info like group size ___ at ___ft/yds distance type stuff.
