Just bought a Marlin XT-17 VR, put a Nikon prostaff 4x12x40. Tell me something I don't know about these things. I have owned 22 mags and ehh their ok but sold them. I had a hankering so I bought the .17hmr. Realistically speaking is there anything I should know about this round? Are they better for punching paper or killing critters? Had a guy tell me he has killed all the animals in TN with this caliber. Thanks men for te input

Seez, the link isn't directly linked as WeaponSystemInternational, it's some wierd site, like www.yourshoppingnetwork.something, kinda strange. I have called WSI at least 30 times with no answer by a HUMAN. I have looked at Spirits website and can't find where they have anything remotely close to $299 for an upper.

Ok Murg we were going to do a huge order thru our FFL on the lowers and also the uppers from spirit which are sold by weapon system international, I have talked with New frontier personally but weapon system I cannot get ahold of them for all that's good and holy. Did you just order one? I was trying to order as many uppers for ad many lowers get it. PM me if you want the skinny on these things. Think you might appreciate.

Hunting 101, this is at the airport, there will be no firearms allowed on the premises. I wouldn't shoot him anyway, and yes it is an e-caller, just to get him up there. Think I might start feeding him some chicken scrap.

GregK I use an electric one, but have a butane one just dont have any butane at the moment. It would be much better if you had a instrument that would allow you to get right down on the tip (if you will). Holding the soldering iron at the handle takes a little more patience. Holding it towards the tip tend to umm burn a little. BluewaterTacticalDefense

Thanks men. It is a whole lot more nerve racking doing someone else's. Mine not so much, only thing is, when you do this just like with Hydrographing a gun, it is more than likely yours for the long haul. I enjoy doing it and have done a couple of buddies and they have been more than pleased especially with the free job they got. Considering some guys charge a ton for this. BluewaterTacticalDefense

One more thing.....Did anyone catch where Shane and Rick were entering the bus compound when they came upon the 2 security guards. As the guards were laying on the ground dead they both noticed they were not bitten but scratched. Anyone see the look on Shane's face? From what I read these things must just be "finicky". Mine has been flawless with CCI minimags, I had some old old federal bulk pack stuff that was real dirty it had out of 100 rnds probably 10 FTE. Other than that it has been very accurate. I had 2 ladies use it yesterday at the range and they shot well with. I even had a 14 yr old boy shooting head shots from 25 yards, he was dead nuts with it. Sorry to hear yall are having trouble. I love this gun BluewaterTacticalDefense
