  1. Welcome from another Chattanoogan...
  2. There should be an EDIT button in the bottom right of your post, to the left (^^^) of the QUOTE button...(the arrows point to it in your post above mine)
  3. I have been having an issue with the mags not dropping free in my RIA Compact 1911 when the slide is locked back. When the slide is forward in battery, the mags drop free without issue. The mags that do not drop free include the stock mags and Wilson mags. The mags will drop free if I press the mag release and also pull the trigger a bit. From looking through the magwell, it looks like the disconnector (I think that's what it is referred to...) may be protruding into the well a bit. Is there an easy way to fix this problem? Also, the only "internal" mods I have are a 22 lb Wolff recoil spring, which is stiffer than the stock one. Ay help would be appreciated. I am not a 1911 armorer by any stretch of the imagination.
  4. I think only Benefactors can edit their posts now...yes, no?
  5. I just got in town to Nashville tonight and for some reason on the drive up here, my car made a detour at Exit 89. I ended up walking out w/ a P22, which I had been wanting for quite a while and it just so happened to be on sale. There wasn't much of a crowd there and I was greeted when I walked into the gun section, helped with my purchase and thanked for coming in. Now I just need to make it to the range to break this thing in.
  6. I saw that Palmetto State Armory had Brown Bear in stock for $115 per 500. Not the best price, but its in stock. I usually just wait until I can find Blazer Brass at WM, which may be a bit easier now w/ the 6 box limit.
  7. I'll take the holster & .380 if available...have an OEM RIA 1911 slide release to offer up.
  8. Guess I'll stick with the disposable foam ones from work for now. My muffs are rated at 29-30 and work great, but they get kind of sore when worn for long periods of time. Are there any good reusable plugs out there that are at least 30. The ones I have used at work are around 26.
  9. YES! That's just the look I was going for... I think you can either cone off depending on usage as to not bring on the bumblebee look.
  10. Has anyone tried these Peltor combat earplugs? If so, how well did they work? I'm sure they'd look kind of funky w/ a cone hanging out of each ear, but I like the fact they have 2 levels of protection depending on environment. 11. I've shot plenty of 9mm Monarch (Barnaul) w/ no issues and tons of Brown Bear through my AR with no failures whatsoever.
  12. This thread reminds me of this... Jalopnik - AutoZone Customer Takes Matters Into His Own Hands After 45 Minutes On Hold - LOLCars
  13. I've always been a fan of Acid cigars, especially the Blue line. People either love them or hate them...and I can see why, since they aren't "traditional." CAOs are also one of my favorites.
  14. From what I have read on other boards, this limit may be a corporate decision...
  15. As of 5:30, Hixson had .40 and tons of .223. SD had 9mm and .45 around 6. I got the only box of .38spl they had.
  16. No one is forcing you to buy ammo at Wal-mart. Check the door as you walk in, they have the right to refuse service to anyone... Also, I live 1 minute from a WM and 1.5 hours from The Outpost. Here's a idea, you keep buying all the ammo you want from The Outpost and I'll buy my handful of ammo from the Wal-mart down the road so I can go shooting this weekend.
  17. They wouldn't...It's designed to keep guys from coming in and buying thousands of dollars worth in a single transaction, while giving other customers the opportunity to purchase some ammo.
  18. I stopped by the Hixson and Soddy Daisy WM today and both stores were limiting total purchase to 6 boxes. I scored a couple Remington bulk packs of .223, some WWB .45, 100-round box of .38spl +P and some 9mm. I really hope this 6 box limit helps. The guy in front of me was trying to buy all 20+ of the .223 and stormed off when the clerk would only sell him 6.
  19. I just bought a 100 round WWB of .380 at Wal-mart for around $35 after tax.
  20. Um.....still waiting!
  21. I've been carrying it since I got it and the Nemesis hasn't been missed at all. The AHolster is so slim and hides the gun well in khakis, shorts and jeans. Definitely a big thumbs up!

    Camping Areas

Virgin Falls in Sparta is a sweet place w/ tons of waterfalls and caves to explore. You can camp in the parking area (no restrooms and back in the woods) or backpack in and camp somewhere along the 8 mile loop trail. There is also a trail that goes off the main loop and down to the Caney Fork River, which has some good fishing. Some pics here: Virgin Falls pictures from mountains photos on webshots
  23. You know, the more I look at this, the more I am liking it...looked kind of blocky and futuristic to me at first, but reviews seem to be extremely favorable. I thought I was sold on an M&Pc, but now I don't know anymore.
