I was at the Wal-mart in Franklin, TN today and they are now limiting how many boxes you can buy. With that being said, I picked up a couple more bricks of Federal .22lr. They were pretty well stocked with everything. -
Wow, I wish we had deals like that around here! On the other hand, wow, just wow...

You sell the Remmy .308?
-
$.50/round has been my price point for .308, so the radway should fit the bill. I'm most excited about having a wooden crate show up at my front door w/ various British markings. Too bad I didn't stock up when it was dirt cheap...I guess that can be said for all ammo though.

That's where I live and it's not bad at all. Relatively close to Hixson (I can get to the new Publix in 10 minutes or so) and downtown in 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. There are a couple restaurants, fast food places, a nice Wal-mart and I've never had any problems here. They just built some new apartments right past the Sequoia Rd. exit and there are some nice townhouses at the Harrison exit (right behind the little hospital and Hardees) for around $675 a month. Let me know if you have any other questions about SD.

Anyone want to split some of this British .308? I'm about to order a case of 750 rds.

I've been buying WInchester Super-X .308 for about $17/box. Until the end of the month, Winchester also has a rebate for $5 back per box, making it $12 for $20. Considering the SA battlepacks are averaging $100+ shipped on GB, this seemed like a good deal!

I was gonna stop in tomorrow, but not after seeing those prices! I wish them luck...

The girl behind the counter said they just got a bunch in tonight...I'd say 10 boxes of the major players. You need anything in particular? -

The WM in Soddy Daisy had a nice supply of 9mm, .40 and .45 in WWB, Blazer and Remington bulk packs... -
I think that may be the same one...

I picked this book up the other day from Amazon and I have to say I am quite impressed for $6. It is a look at gun owners into America and why they own guns. Anyways, I'm sure this would be a great conversation starter sitting around your home or office. http://www.amazon.com/Armed-America-Portraits-Owners-Their/dp/0896895432/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1231898131&sr=8-1

In and out in about 10 minutes...+1 for McCain. On a side note, I had a run in with one of the guys running for city commission. I couldn't understand his slurred speech, but he asked if I was a lawyer and then was spouting stuff out about sticking a gun in my face and illegal searches and seizures. I didn't stick around b/c I had no idea what this guy's views were and I couldn't understand him. Then another guy in the running just said thanks for coming out and if elected he wouldn't arrest me like the previous guy I talked to. Overall, very confusing for such a small town...

I just got back from the range where I put 200 down the pipe. 150 brass cased and 50 aluminum cased Blazer and it shot everything flawlessly. Oh man, this thing is SWEET! It just feels so much better in my hand than the XD did (although thats comparing compact apples to full-size oranges), but regardless I think S&W has a winner here.

Thanks to the guys at Hero Gear, I came home last weekend with a brand new S&W M&P9 w/ night sights, minus both safeties. I added the TLR-1 that I picked up cheap on eBay for when the gun serves bedside duty. After selling my XD9sc, I missed having a plastic 9mm, but wanted a full size to take to the range as I have a couple other compact guns for carry. Based on all the reviews that I have read, it looks like this is going to be a keeper. I'll get a chance to shoot it tomorrow evening and will report back with my thoughts. BTW, this TLR-1 is super bright and the aluminum housing should hold up quite well. It would definitely kill your night vision if you were looking directly into it at night. It also doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference w/ the weight on the front end and the quick release attachment will be handy for quick removal for range trips.

Does anyone know if the Blackwater range is really open to the public? If so, I plan on stopping by when I am in the area next month. Too bad I don't have anything adequate to take advantage of the 1200 yards! Moyock - Blackwater Training Center, 850 Puddin Ridge Road, Moyock, NC 27958. Phone: 252-435-2488 Facilities include: Outdoor Pistol (25 & 50 yds), Outdoor Rifle (100-1200yds) Range Access: Public After further investigation, I think it is only open for their courses and agencies conducting training there.

It looks like there is a new documentary starting on tower climbers on NBC...looks pretty hardcore. towerclimber, is this a look into what you do on a daily basis?

No comment as I'm sure many of us are thinking the same thing...

Some of you guys may enjoy the http://www.roadfood.com forums. It's great to browse around the forums or restaurant reviews to find places in your area or before a vacation. Apparently there is a place in Chattanooga called Zarzour's that keeps getting mentioned as having amazing burgers. However, it's going to be tough to beat Rotier's, at least IMHO.
-
For those of you who don't know, Rotier's is rumored to have inspired Jimmy Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise song. There is a ton of Buffet memorabilia in there and apparently he stops by whenever he is in town. BTW, their milkshakes are killer, although they are not on the menu (at least they didn't used to be). Dang, I sure could go for a Grilled Cheeseburger right about now! Oh, and some onion rings and a chocolate milkshake...
