Its an officers size...I know Ceiner used to make a conversion for them, but I can't find one anywhere. On another note, I got to fondle a desert camo Mosquito w/ threaded barrel today and liked it a lot. I'm not a huge fan of the DA/SA (probably b/c I haven't shot that action much and it always feels kind of odd). I may look into the other .22LRs that Sig offers. My other thought is to pick up a cheap full-size 1911 (RIA) and add on a conversion. Adam, I left you a message about the BDM mags...they've got your name on them.

I have an Uncle Mike's Deluxe range bag. I think I paid around $45 at SPortsman's Warehouse. It has plenty of room for a few guns, mags, eye and ear protection for a couple people and some boxes of ammo. The material is also thick and holding up well. There are also pockets galore! http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=610839

No worries...just had to set the record straight. The one thing I do like about the Mosquito I am looking at is the already threaded barrel for a future suppressor add-on. The P220 slide add-on is nice, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the extra $ since I have a 1911 I am in love with.

Thanks for all the opinions on the P22, but I was actually asking about the Sig P220 that now comes in .22lr. It also comes with a coupon to get the slide of your choice (.45, 9mm, etc) for like $400 more.

Alright, I have decided that I want a .22lr handgun to plink around with at the range. I have narrowed it down to the Mosquito or the P220 in .22lr. Any opinions on these 2? I have heard the Mosquito can be picky on ammo, but maybe some of these issues have been fixed with later generations...? Cost is another factor and the P220 will run a bit more (prob. $50-$100).

Yea, its been awhile...I can't even keep up with all the new policies and fees that PP and eBay impose. The last auction I listed on eBay had a 12% FVF, plus listing fees, plus PP fees. I haven't sold anything on there since...

I've had PP freeze a buyer/seller's account and pull money from their bank account if need be. Of course if the person empties their bank account then you are SOL. Thats why I always fund my PP purchases with a CC (not debit).

Hixson Wally World is about out...

Not yet...I remember seeing a TV show about it though. Looks like a pretty interesting place. BTW, Kelly and I went to Larry's this morning to get in some range time. We got there before opening and there was already a line 20+ deep to get in to the shop and buy guns and ammo. We pretty much had the range to ourselves for about 30 minutes and then it filled up. I couldn't believe how packed the shop was on a Monday morning though! -

I stopped by the WM in Scottsboro, AL on the way to Huntsville and it was like I was in heaven. Federal .223 bulk packs (100 and 200 rounds), Blazer Brass in all calibers, Federal .22lr bulk backs in both flavors... -

Not everyone from Brentwood wants to pay outrageous prices... ...but, there are plenty who will.

That's what I was gonna do, but the ammo disappeared from my cart last night, looks like they're sold out.

Any vendors on here stock this ammo? I'm currently having a hard time finding more of it, which is obviously the case with all ammo right now, but I know a lot of places don't even stock this to begin with. Thanks!

Wow, thats terrible. At least he died doing what he loved, but you gotta feel for his young wife and family... RIP

Its basically a replacement bolt carrier group that allows you to chamber and shoot .22lr. The swap is super easy...obviously make sure your weapon is unloaded then just push in your rear take-down pin and pivot your AR open. Pull the charging handle halfway out, remove the stock BCG and slide in the CMMG conversion. Push everything in, fold the rifle together and push your take-down pin back in. Now you're ready to shoot .22lr with the included mag. EDIT: Well Joe beat me to the description, but here are a couple pics.

Yes, one of the high cap BlackDog Machine mags...

~$200 I had seriously considered a dedicated .22lr upper, but for the time being, they were a bit out of my price range. I figured that good .223 is around $.40 a round and the .22lr that I use is around $.025 a round. If I did my math correctly, this conversion kit will have paid for itself after shooting a brick (around 55 rounds).

My girlfriend and I took a little day trip up to Monteagle yesterday to take in the nice weather, do a little exploring and also take a short detour to visit Joe at Hero Gear in Winchester. My main objective was to purchase a CMMG .22lr conversion kit and also have my girlfriend check out some handguns. First of all, I want to thank Joe for taking quite a bit of time to show my girlfriend a wide selection of handguns and basically let her choose what she liked best. She was put at ease by this service and is debating between the M&P or XDm. She also liked how no one at HG tried to push any specific gun on her and all in all it was a great experience for her. I know we will definitely be back to purchase one or the other when she is ready. My other purchase and the real point of this post was my CMMG kit. For the price, IMHO, this kit can not be beat. I put about 250 rounds of Federal bulk pack (the brown brick from WM) through it with no issues whatsoever. Accuracy was better than expected, but I felt I would have a better idea if I had a chance to shoot on the 50 yd. range. Prentice Cooper was packed and the only open table was on the 100 yd range. A quick change of the bolt and I was back to putting .223 down range. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I would recommend anyone with a .225/5.56 to pick one of these up for plinking or just to save some money on the cost of ammo. The BlackDog mags that come with these kits are also super stout.

Thinking of hitting up Prentice Cooper again tomorrow...

I'll probably stop back by PC on my way back from HG to try the CMMG AR conversion... -
I was planning on getting one of those cmmg .22 conversions for my AR and picking up some M&P9 mags. My girlfriend also wants to fondle some carry pieces. I'm going to try my hardest to not check out the M1As.

Where did you see this? The only info I can find is for the one in Cleveland over Valentine's weekend. I was planning on heading up to Hero Gear on Saturday anyways...

A limit of 100 mags maximum per person. No Exceptions.
