  1. You have "crews" driving around to 130 wal-marts strictly looking for ammo? Or am I misinterpreting your post?
  2. 124 +P Gold Dots in my M&P 9mm, 135 +P SB Gold Dots in my 442 and 00 Buck in my home defense shotgun... Golden Saber and Federal HST also feed well in my guns, so I have some boxes of that on hand as well.
  3. Nice score!
  4. Is that the $250 Sam's CLub clearance special? I picked up one of those canoe kits as well and it's pretty hard to beat for what I paid. It's a little slow, but super stable...great for lazy blackwater floats w/ another person.
  5. Looks sweet...how thick is it?
  6. "How am I supposed to feed my family now?" Sounds like the 8 pieces for $4.99 deal was TOO popular.
  7. The Wal-Mart in Soddy Daisy is constantly getting in .40 Blazer Brass...its about the only thing on the shelf though.
  8. $190 for 250 rounds of .40 Wolf??? Go LSN - Wolf 40S&W 250rnd $190 Shipped in Murfreesboro, TN #880246 - Local Sales Network!
  9. Mine felt loose to me as well, but after carrying it all night, I never noticed any issue.
  10. This is getting absurd...I can't wait until things get back to normal.
  11. Here are the 3 new holsters I got this week. The Mitch Rosen for my RIA Compact arrived earlier this week and the 442 AHolster pocket holster and Minotaur MTAC M&P slide holster both arrived today. After carrying the RIA around some this week, I like it better than the Milt Sparks Summer Special b/c the belt loop is offset and seems to pull the gun closer to my body. I do like the fact that the Summer Special had a "sweat flap" that also protected the safety, but I have not noticed any trouble w/ accidently disengaging the safety and I usually wear an undershirt so the sweat shield is no biggie. I look forward to breaking in the MTAC and eventually picking up an M&P Compact since my significant other is in love w/ my full size M&P. The AHolster will fit along nicely w/ my Desantis Nemesis, although after a quick glance, the Nemesis may be seeing more drawer duty than carry duty.
  12. x2 BoA's new ATMs rock...I never have a reason to go inside anymore. I can deposit multiple checks and cash at the same time, get confirmation images on my receipt and instant account credit w/ cash deposits up until 8pm.
  13. I got this in my e-mail and thought it may be a good speaking event to attend...
  14. The last one I went to was extremely crowded. I eventually left b/c I was having a hard time moving around and getting pretty frustrated. Some people may mind that atmosphere though.
  15. LOL, we just can't get them out fast enough. Job security at its finest! :tinfoil:
  16. PaiMei speaks the truth...it really depends on whether or not the ammo manufacturers are set up on a push or pull system.. Also, many of them base predictions on previous numbers and are currently overwhelmed and trying to catch up, The business I work for is currently experiencing this with our widgets. Last year we sold around 150 pieces of Widget A and this year, as of April, we already have orders for over 1000 pieces of Widget A. Needless to say, getting Widget A out the door is one of our main focuses and all hands are on deck, per se, to get these orders built. I can see how ammo, or any industry for that matter, could be impacted in the same manner, with the same results.
  17. .177 caliber! That's right, I figure this would be a pretty fun thing to shoot and should be a pretty close replica of my M&P, aside from weight and accuracy. Since everything .22 and above is difficult to find, BBs still appear to be plentiful. When the supply of BBs run dry, I think I'm just going to give up shooting and pursue another hobby. I'll post a review when this thing arrives. Now off to Wal-mart to pick up some CO2 and BBs! Amazon.com: Smith & Wesson M&P, Black air pistol: Sports & Outdoors
  18. It's a shorter walk if you go in through the auto section. The only PITA is waiting for someone to press the door button so you can exit.
  19. If they weren't limiting it to 2 boxes, chances are you would have had NO ammo. I'm pretty happy that some WMs are limiting purchases, it keeps the dealers from buying up all their stock.
  20. For the record, my back was actually to the store entrance with my peripheral outwards towards the parking lot (which was fairly empty and wide open) and sides of the building up until the point the guy yelled at me. The way I turned, someone would have had to run at me from behind from an almost empty parking lot...I was not near any parked cars. Not sure how I would have handled it differently, guess turning was a knee jerk reaction. I do see what you're saying about people working in teams though. My biggest fear from not turning around was thinking the guy could have been closing in after me and I wouldn't think I'd want my back to that. As far as my hand reaching in my pocket...probably just instinct from not feeling quite right about the situation. Thanks for all the comments guys, its always nice to see other points of views and things which I may not have considered.
  21. I know, that's the only thing I regret, but as I said, I was already in a hurry as it was, stressed from dealing with ATL traffic and just wanting to get back on the road.
  22. I just want to preface this by saying, maybe it was nothing, but it sure didn't feel right. I stopped by the mall over the weekend to head into the dept. store to check on some shirts. As I was entering I noticed a guy sitting inside on a bench (between the outer doors and actual inner store doors) off to the side of that area. I didn't think anything of it figuring he was waiting on someone. I was in the store for about 15 minutes and as I exited I noticed he was still sitting there...no alarms yet. As I walked out, I had stepped off the sidewalk and was about halfway through the lane that divides the mall from the parking lot. I thought I heard someone say something and then I heard "Hey man" once and then a bit louder as I continued walking. At this point my hand entered my pocket gripping the 442, as I turned slightly with my weak side towards him and noticed he was now at the curb and I was in the middle of the road. He asked if I had any jumper cables, which I thought was odd. Any normal person would have gone to the Sears next door to ask to borrow a booster box or wait for the Security patrol to drive around (which I did see in an adjacent parking lot as I entered the mall). I responded with a "Sorry, I don't" and at that time the Mall security drove around the corner and the guy just turned around and walked back inside. At this point alarm bells are going off and I quickly made it to my car and got out of there. Obviously this guy did not need a jump and he probably wasn't aware I was carrying. Is there anything I could have done to handle this differently up until the point in which he turned away? I'm also curious as to what his next move would have been if the security had not have driven around the corner. Looking back, I probably should have reported this to security, but I was on a road trip and wanting to just get back on the road at this point. This event also made me think of this site which I saw awhile back, which is a great read for parking lot situations. Robbery: fringe areas
  23. Managed to find a brick of Federal .22lr at Walmart this evening, so they are getting it in.
  24. Thanks for the review and pics...I just ordered one for my 442 to give me another option to my Nemesis.
