The stages are all set for a great match on Saturday. A big thank you to the crew that came out last night to set it up and tweak it just right. Guaranteed to be fun and challenging with a good mix of steel, run and gun, and some longer shots. New shooters always welcome. -

The Staff shot the match today and everything went smooth. The stages are a lot of fun and the SO's are great. Still some slots open for walk-ins. Come on down and join the fun. Three guns on the prize table available for random drawing. Do you feel lucky? For $70 bucks you get to shoot a sanctioned match with 8 stages, free lunch, and a 1 in 30 chance to win a gun, and a much higher chance to go the prize table for some other goodies.
-
Staff folk need to the at the range by 0930. Shooting (or at least the walk throughs) will start at 1000.
-
Still some slots open. Please pm me is interested.

We have the beginnings of a site on facebook. Our site is ORSA-uspsa. Some Videos from the May match, showing the promised perfect weather, are up at that site. More to come!

The stages are built and ready to go. No cephalopods but still a lot of fun. Rain is going to hold off until the match is over. Come on out and have some fun. -
Stages are up and look great. Should be challenging and a lot of fun.
-
Slots are still available and there is no date at which we will close registration, registration will close only when the match is full. I am sure we can get Neil classified - as others have done, please go ahead and get registered and then email me the classification data later.
-
Ask for the ORSA IDPA rate - it is $79. You can actually get the rooms cheaper through hotels.com That rate $71, but you gotta pre-pay, cancel 15 days out, and some other fine-print. The Doubletree is a very nice hotel, it will raise your expectations for Match Hotel.

Here is the breakdown on on the registered shooters to date: M Ex SS MM N CDP 1 0 3 7 1 ESP 1 8 7 14 1 SSP 0 1 12 8 9 SSR 0 1 0 2 1 ESR 0 0 2 0 0 Slots still available. Please register soon.

So as to not discourage any late potential shooters, we are not going to impose the $10 "Late fee" for sending in your application after 1 May. The cost will be $70 regardless of when you send in your application. However, if you don't get it in by 15 May(or at least email me by that date), you will not be getting a t-shirt. We need to send that order in by 16 May. However, please do register as soon as possible. We are going to use the Doubletree Hotel as our "match hotel." It is pretty nice and will give you a false expectations for match hotels at other matches.

Note, they did not say round dumping was legal. They are simply silent about the issue. I believe one could still receive an FTDR (look at the rationale for giving an FTDR), if not a PE on general principle.

2Alpha replied to 2Alpha's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
put 151 Hermitage Blvd, Oak Ridge, TN into your gps. That should get you very close to the gate to ORSA's action pistol range. Hope you can make it. -
The stages for this month's match at ORSA are posted at: http://orsaap.com/USPSAStages/May2013.pdf The theme for this month are the Rules from the movie Zombieland. Stages for this month include: Rule 1: Cardio Rule 2: Beware of Bathrooms Rule 7: Keep the morons close at hand, and of course: Rule 18: Limber Up! As you have come to expect, the match will be great and the weather will be perfect. Look forward to seeing you at the range.

Hi Brad. Welcome to Tennessee and this forum. ORSA is the place to join, great facilities and great people at a cheap price. Prag listed all the pertinent links. We do shoot IDPA on the 1st Saturday of each month, cowboys shoot on the second Saturday, USPSA on the third Saturday, 3-gun the Sunday after USPSA, and steel challenge is on the 4th Saturday. Come on out to the USPSA match on 20 April, I will be glad to show you around. If that does not work, I could meet you out there another time.
