  1. My boy said hey , get me the Night Defender and you can have the wood grips ... I said ok .. Just snatched one on GB for $865 ... Expensive grips .... :) will add the night sights to my Defender and everybody's happy ....
  2. I have the scare factor on the Kimber , I really want it but I'm afraid to buy it. My son said take my Defender back home and put some night sights on it and carry on.... I've had it for about 12 years and it's never had 1 failure. I may just do it and dress it up with some nice wood , I'm in limbo Hell at the moment ...
  3. I'm good at decisions , plum !
  4. I'm afraid that Commando is more of a collectors piece at $1300 ; new Defenders are around $950. With a stainless Defender in the family I hate to get another....not to mention being all stainless and 3.5" it's gonna be a bit heavy as opposed to a 3" alloy Defender.
  5. I know but every ad or info I find says Talo changed the Night version to a 6 rounder , did they chop the grip ..... and what is the reasoning in making a Night version with half the night sights ?
  6. Hmm ... http://www.taloinc.com/colt-firearms/colt-night-defender-45 Why only one front night sight and the mag is dropped from the normal 7 to 6 ?
  7. I had one and gave it to my son a little while ago , I could ask for it back but that takes all the fun out of buying another! :)
  8. I'm still leaning towards the Sig , the Smith has no night sights and it's still $1,000 ...
  9. Just found out my E-series Smith has a little brother ! http://www.narkguns.com/s-w-1911-pro-45acp-3-talo-s-w178052.html Hmm ......
  10. I have decided to purchase another compact .45 , what a surprise.... I would like input on these two models as they are where I am headed. I would love another Springer Officers in stainless but they quit making them. The Kimber Ultra Raptor II http://www.kimberamerica.com/1911/raptor-ii/stainless-ultra-raptor-ii I don't trust a lot of what I read on the web but Kimber seems to have a CS problem and a 1 year warranty. It's my understanding that the recoil spring needs replacing every 500 rounds ($40) and everyone that buys this gun replaces the mag because of feeding problems ? The gun is beautiful but also the cost is around $1300 GB. I do not own a Kimber and would like to hear from other Kimber owners , I understand that there are many Kimber owners with perfectly operating guns that don't jump on the web and praise that theirs works fine. The Sig 1911 Ultra Two Tone http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/1911-ultra-two-tone.aspx A good looking piece , external extractor ; no prob I have a few. I like Sigs and have not had a problem with any I have owned. Lifetime Limited warranty , better than 1 year. Around $800 GB. Any input appreciated......
  11. I'm thinking now that I may just stay with .45 , I gave my son my Colt Defender and want another 3" ultra compact carry for Summer.
  12. Yes , it's a 4.25" , I'm just not a big RIA fan.
  13. I have a CM40 , CM9 , and the P380. :)
  14. Guess I need to make a few phone calls ....
  15. Yes , my XDS .45 shoots well for me.
  16. I've got 4 Glocks but I just don't shoot them well. I swear I'm gonna sell them but I can't bring myself to it .....
  17. Saw the EAA , prefer the 1911 platform. Guess I better look for a used DW bob.
  18. Time to do the Snoopy dance ! Yes , I knew the State Parks were ok and wondered why all the hoopla .....
  19. This is State Parks not City Parks , right ?
  20. The Dan Wesson Commander 10mm is discontinued I believe , did see a used one for $1600 :( It was a bobtail stainless... :) Just looking for something less than 5" .....
  21. Who makes a compact 1911 10mm ? I assume a 5" barrel is preferred but the Glock 29 is a 3.77 ....
  22. When you gotta go you gotta go ...
