  1. Interesting...do you have it personally installed? How would you rate the improvement? Leaps and bounds or just noticeable to be better?
  2. Okay let's give Bob's a shot real quick. Case of Andre Dry at Cork And Bottle = $52 Case of Andre Dry at Bob's = $57.57 I'm going to have to get you guys to shop around
  3. Man all this talk about triggers has me so confused. I honestly don't know what to buy now Well, I guess I'll get whatever trigger comes in whatever lower parts kit I buy and then buy a different trigger after that. Is there a decent trigger in the $50 price range? I've got to afford that 20" Chrome lined 1/9 or 1/10 twist barrel afterall I also want that 13.2" Quad Picitinny rail hand guard to go on the front I just haven't decided on stainless steel or black and if I want a muzzlebrake/flash suppressor.
  4. That sounds amazing. I want that except with 2lbs pull and maybe 1/8" movement.
  5. Wow...$165 for a trigger...okay. I may just go with the stock trigger. I mean...it can't be that bad.
  6. Where's Bob's located? I've never been there. I generally stick to the one in front of the Walmart (the really small one) as they are super nice to me and Vics for things they don't have. I used to go to Toddy's but I hate driving across town to do it. Edit: nvm, I've been to Bob's before. I wasn't that impressed. Now that new one that's in front of the TJ Maxx where the old Blockbuster used to be is my Scotch Heaven. I went in there one day and they had Macallan 12yr for $29.99 a bottle. Needless to say, I bought 2. If I'm not mistaken, they had a gin I usually buy for $13.99 when I normally get it for $10.99. I only went there because I picked up a friend from work and he wanted to go there.
  7. Yeah but they also charge tax so it comes $37.31 and they make you pay per each gun. I went down to Ace Pawn and the guys there were pretty nice. There were like 4 of them behind the counter. Their prices are a little high but they are nice enough. They had an M&P 15 Sport for $699 and a used Para 1911 for like $469. Not exactly the greatest prices but their selection was pretty vast. Lots of semi autos and quite a few revolvers. They said theirs would be a flat charge of $35 and they are close to me so we'll do that. I wish Doug would come back and do my transfers. I just liked him better.
  8. CCA is only that bad when they don't know you. I remember the first few times I went in there before anyone knew me and they weren't good experiences. Granted, I only go there to shoot and never buy anything so that's a plus for me.
  9. Okay I'll give them a call.
  10. I was wondering if you were every going to reply . Was hoping I wouldn't have to send you a PM so you wouldn't have to wait for the gun show to get one. Curious question though, why order 3?
  11. So I went to Zaxby's on Emery road today and I've always wondered about the prices inside Pop's Place Liquors and today I stopped and went inside on a whim. Well let me tell you this, they have great prices. I picked up another bottle of Moet and Chandon Imperial champagne for New Years at $41.99. I doubt you can find it cheaper anywhere in Knoxville. The last bottle I bought was $69.99 which I knew was a rip off but they were the only place that sold the Rose Imperial. They also have a bunch of liquors on closeout like Barton Gin (I wouldn't drink it straight but it probably makes for a great mixer) at less than $10 (I wanna say it was $7 for 750ml). They also have Blue Eyes vodka (I've never tried it but it's always $20 a bottle everywhere) which was on closeout as well for $10 a bottle. Best part, they aren't posted!!!!!! The 4 gentlemen that were in the store were extremely nice as well. Give them some business.
  12. Ohh bollocks. he is the only 1 really like doing my transfers through. Sent from my US740 using Tapatalk
  13. So I decided to go see doug at on target today to ask about whether not he is still doing ffl transfers and apparently he is no longer there. Did you move to a different location that someone else is aware of? Last time I went there was in october and he was still there so this is new to me. Also did if he is closed does anyone know of another ffl in knoxville to only charges thirty dollars for a transfer Sent from my US740 using Tapatalk
  14. Wow. Thanks for all the helpful replies. I'll go down there on Monday then
  15. Hi everyone. As I am new to this I have a question about the lower parts kits. What's the best trigger for your AR-15? Single stage or two stage? Is it possible to mess with the trigger pull?
  16. What costs $5.50? It's $49.95 + $7 for shipping which brings it to $56.95 before the $30 FFL fee which makes the total $86.95. However, if you have a friend that wants one as well, it comes out to $71.95 each
  17. Thanks That's the one I'm going with. Yay...I can't wait to build my AR-15
  18. I'd love to partake of this. Remember everyone, if you plan on getting one and know a friend who's also getting one, buy together and it's only $71.95 each after FFL fee of $30 Okay, I've decided to bite the bullet and use up some of these gift cards I've got sitting around but I'm having trouble with one thing. The words Safe/Fire or Bullet Pictograms. I have no idea which one I'll like. http://palmettostatearmory.com/1560.php
  19. Bag of Cotton Swatches Q-Tips Shooter's Grease Breakfree CLP Breakfree Powerderblast The all caliber gun cleaning kit from Walmart A Hoppes cloth I got from Gander Mountain that keeps the finish looking shiny Nytrile Gloves Microfiber Cloths Some Toothbrushes but I need to get some stiffer bristles as they don't work that well
  20. Yuppers 100% sure. They have them at a bunch of Walmarts here in Knoxville now but they are rolling them out slowly and there's some dude around here that keeps clearing their inventory. He came into the Walmart on Clinton Hwy and bought every box they had for 2 months straight of 9mm. The easiest way to tell is look for the tag on the shelf. It will be for $19.97. If they have the tag up, ask them if they have any down below the counter or in the back. I think 100 round boxes of WWB are like $22 or $23 a box now so it's a pretty good deal but that .40 is where it's at. I'm hoping they do the same with 45 ACP so my friend can get some cheaper than the WWB.
  21. Oh really now....
  22. I'm working on it! Sent from my US740 using Tapatalk
  23. So I picked up this little puppy earlier today and can't wait to try it out. It's a Sig P229 22LR Classic Model but I also went ahead and purchased a Caliber X-Change Kit online for $150 so it will be .40 like it's big brother (my P226) later on next week. Bought it brand new in the box for a great price. Now, I just need to get myself some Magazines for it and a new holster OOOOH the fun
  24. If your Walmart has the new 100 round boxes of Federal in stock, they have 9mm for $19.97 (not the best price but still good) and .40 for $24.97 (amazing price considering WWB is $31.97 for 100 rounds and Remington is $36.97 for 100 rounds). So far, I've not been able to beat that price in a store for .40.
  25. Windows 7 has pretty good parental controls by default but honestly speaking, the best parental control is yourself standing there watching whatever she's doing on the computer anyway. Not one software will be better than all the others as they all have flaws of some sort.
