1. Today's deal is $15 for $30 at Joeboboutfitters.com. Grab yours while they are up there. I just grabbed myself one. Here's to a couple of more PMags and a Gas Block
2. I see them and would love to register over there and Sigforum but they want me to use a non free email address just to register and well, that's just not going to happen . Oh well. But thank you guys for your input. I'll just wait and hope someone puts them up for sale on here.
3. Yeah Raoul sold out before I even thought about building my AR I was just a tad behind. I've been waiting and hoping he'd have more for sale but so far nothing.
4. For some reason, I had it in my mind that they were like $5-$8 a piece. Oh well...PMags it is then.
5. Where do you guys get your mags? I just bought a couple of PMags but I want to get a couple of GI Mil Spec as well. However, they all seem to be more expensive than PMags....unless that's correct.
6. Yeah, there's no Ruger's on there or the M&P or XD. Also, I've never even heard of anyone carrying an HK45. I litereally only know one person out of the maybe 50 people I know who carry that even owns much less carries an HK. I am happy that the P229 made his list though.
7. That's hilarious. On a side note, I thought stalking was illegal?
8. I have a friend that has one. I've shot it before and all I can say is it's a rough trigger. I think someone told me that the S&W SD line is like a Sigma but with a smoother/better trigger. I'd opt for that one. Also, if you're in the Mil or Law Enforcement or a First Responder or retired Mil, you can get S&W M&P's for like $385 I believe shipped from Budspolicesupply.com.

357 sig ..

http://www.glock.com...ish/glock33.htm The Glock G33 is a subcompact Glock chambered in .357 sig. This just means that you can still use your same Glock and convert it over to 9mm just by replacing the barrel and the magazine. There are 3 models of Glocks chambered in .357 Sig. G31 - Full Size G32 - Compact G33 - Subcompact But yes...so I've been reading, you can drop in a .40 barrel and use the same magazines for the ammo and with 9mm just drop in the new barrel and then use the 9mm magazine.

I'm late to the thread but I do know that there's a lot of P229 9mm models that go on sale (if you're still into the P229 and love the feel and trigger)
12. If you're ever near Knoxville, you can try out my IWB holsters. I have a Supertuck, Advance Holster (supertuck clone) and my friend has a slimmer profile one and I'll get the name of his today. It's really slime compared to either of mine and he seems to love it.
13. I don't know if this will help but here's something. As a skinny guy, with my IWB holster, I never get gouged by it but it's sometimes a bit tedious to find that perfect "spot" on my side. Here's a couple more.
14. Wow...last time I checked on it, there was only the short paragraph at the top without any links to the Exhibits or any of the other parts underneath. Granted this was about a year ago though. Well I guess they must have the "Statement by Shipper of Firearms" on file. lolz...just found the "Statement". It's a signature card. http://about.usps.com/forms/ps1508.pdf
15. It's simpler than that...any dealer can ship a gun via USPS. It's only the general public that isn't "allowed". However, the language just says "dealer". There's no actual requirements. That being said, all of my guns that I've bought have been shipped to my FFL's using USPS and it generally only costs me $10 for priority mail insured.
16. I've heard good things about them as well. Also, over on Slickguns.com, they've already got something going using this lower receiver building an AR-15 for less than $500 shipped. http://slickguns.com/product/build-affordable-ar-15-less-485
17. Nice. Where did you find it? I saw it on Troy's website but they were a tad on the pricey side. http://troyind.com/ ...ail-mrf-rx-13-8 This one looks awesome but is $235 on their site. http://troyind.com/ ...lerail-bravo-13 This one seems to be their "budget' rail I guess but it's still $200. The cheapest price I can find for the MRF RX rail is $175 If only it were in the $130-!50 price range I'd jump on it.
18. I want to keep my eyes open so what are good cheap quad rails out there for an AR-15 with a 20" barrel. I would like 12+ inches (that's what she said). I saw the Midwest Industries Gen 2 for $150 or $160 I believe. I saw the YHM and others but they are generally more expensive. The less on the cost the better . Oh yes. I want a free float quad rail as well. Any other choices out there from you guys? Here's the barrel and gas block Green Mountain 20" 1/7 twist barrel 5.56 YHM Low Profile Gas Block so it will fit under the rail The Gas block will be one of these but I have no idea which is better. They look the same but one is a Set Screw and the other is a Pinch Screw. http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_6&products_id=40 http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_6&products_id=41 http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_6&products_id=39 There's also the third one but it just looks cool...just not $75 cool
19. My purpose is just having my first AR-15. I'll probably take some shooting tactical courses and such and having it as a fun range gun.
20. Unfortunately, I can't keep my firearm in my vehicle but on the days that I'm off, I carry it with me everywhere I go.

P226 or P30?

I actually had the same choice and went with the P226 and I love that gun. The only bad thing is that I like the elite frame over the stock.
22. So I kinda forgot I started this topic until just now Well gents, thanks for the suggestions. I'm going with the Magpul STR. Turns out it's only $10 more expensive than the CTR and is super comfy. Now the CTR has to go to recoup the costs of the STR That's my backup...I was hoping that Magpul would send me some Hello Kitty stickers but they laughed and just said "No"
23. If it's for something silly like you forgot to pay a ticket, then I don't think it would. However, I would be more interested in getting my DL renewed and back to being 100% okay before I'd worry about my HCP.
24. Unfortunately, places don't charge just "shipping costs" they also charge you a handling cost to get even more money. Honestly, I've never seen any UPS price that's better than USPS. I've sent a giant computer case that would have cost me $30 via UPS and FedEx ground but only cost me $23.50 I believe via USPS Priority Mail. Granted that was without insurance. Insurance added in an extra few bucks but it was still cheaper. I always only ship via USPS because I'd rather my stuff get there in 2-3 days vs a week. That and I like having my packages around a set time every day instead of the time frame of "Sometime between 8am and dark" from UPS and FedEx.
25. So I'm still in the process of building my AR-15 (PSA is OOS on a bunch of components I need for the upper) and I'm starting to get finicky about the stock now. I'm originally looking at Magpul MOE, CTR, and STR. I honestly can't choose between them. Are there any others I should definitely look into buying. I got the CTR currently (not installed just hanging out in the box) but I'm still on the fence.
