Here is one I just finished. I didn't like the way the stock refish turned out and need to replace it because of some old damage but they turn out well...

Yes Jamie different departments, different procedures. I have worked LE in other states, both with city departments and a sheriff's office. Pretty much the same across the board though with regards to drinking and vehicles. You are right that there are some departments/areas more lax about open containers. I just haven't seen it in person yet.

Correct it is a MD. DUI is one also, but I can't just cite on a DUI. By the officer investigating on his own, he will then see it committed in his presence if it is in fact true. Citizens call in complaints, officers go investigate.
-
A vehicle, traveling upon a public roadway, can be stopped for investigation if the officer has reasonable suspicion of a crime. A report from a citizen or personal observation would fit that description. Based upon the officers personal experience and training, he knows that there is a high probablity that not just the passenger could be drinking, i.e. the driver could be consuming also. To develop beyond reasonable suspicion to probable cause, a traffic stop is made of the vehicle, or contact is made with the occupants if they are in a parking lot for example. The officer determines that the driver is not consuming or under the influence, vehicle is sent on it's way. If the driver is consuming or seems to be intoxicated, than SFST is conducted if consent of the driver is obtained. If the driver is considered under the influence, he does the breathilyzer or blood draw (if he consents), then he goes to jail. If not, he is cited for the open container he was consuming from, and released. You guys are reading way more into this than there is and making a mountain out of a molehill.

Probable cause is that there are individuals consuming alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle. A stop to determine if the driver has been consuming is a legal stop. The officer can very easily articulate that.
-
I am assuming you mean "legal" activity? And yes if I see someone drinking in a vehicle I will stop said vehicle. As long as the driver is not or has not been drinking, nor under the influence to illegally drive, and there are only enough open containers for the passengers only, then they will be sent on there way. That's just the way it is. We call that probable cause. Look it up some time.

Usually the charge is only brought as an add-on charge for someone already arrested or acting really stupid with it. I have never seen it charged as a stand alone offense, but it could happen. If you were average joe law abiding citizen, I might give you a verbal warning, especially if you werent' aware of the law, but wouldn't charge somebody for it. Now if I arrest joe criminal and he has it, then yes he will have it added to the charges.

Well thankfully keeping you amused is not required.

Well I know that if a vehicle is driving down the road with drinking passengers, said vehicle will probably get pulled over. Additionally someone will be going to jail. Probably a passenger since he won't keep his drunk mouth shut.... (This was a comment made in jest to lighten the mood, don't take it as totally serious please)

Well something else to consider that (unless I missed it) driving is a privilege, not a right. Opening a can of worms here but there isn't a right to drive like there is a right to bear arms. Therefore restrictions on behavior on the roadway can be regulated much more than conduct of an individual not on the roadway.

Open container laws should be pretty cut and dry. No open alcoholic beverages at all in the vehicle. People should have enough self-restraint to wait until they get where they are going to drink and be responsible about it.

I like to fish but have no use for hunting. Went when I was a kid with my dad squirrel, rabbit, dove, duck, deer, etc. By the time I was 13 or so, saw no use in it for me and didn't want to go again. Plus alot of hunters I have been around have been worthless trophy hounds who waddle their fat butts to the range once a year, clogging up the zero range all weekend with their fudd guns before the season. Most still working on the same box of ammo for the last two years. Fishing to me is much more enjoyable, but I really only catch and release unless someone asks for them. Hard to do that hunting. If you harvest enough for you and yours to eat, good for you or if you feel some basic need to go to the woods for stroking your psyche, ok. If you just go to collect trophies, well something isn't right with that IMO.

Bases are one of those personal preference things. Some believe a one piece is more solid. Some think a one piece gets in the way of loading and possibly on ejecting. The one piece bases do have the ability to have some with a MOA angle for longer distance shooting. I personally use a one piece picatinny base on my 700 SPS Tactical.
-
Well weaver rings will only mount to weaver bases, picatinny will mount to either. Also picatinny rings have larger and more secure base connectors than weaver.

Probably 9mm. That seems to be the standard in both the middle east and europe.

For some reason the theme song for the movie "Vacation" comes to mind.... Mixed with Death Race w/Jason Statham. -
I would be willing to bet that both will be good.

I ordered Medal of Honor Tier 1. It comes Oct 10th IIRC. About a month before your COD:BO.

Would never work. Range would get trashed somehow by selfish people. Even ranges people pay for get screwed up and someone is always stuck cleaning up after them. If I ever have the land for one, small select group of friends would have access to it. That's it for the above reasons.

What part of town do you live in? I have the proper tool to remove it. But it goes on and off like a regular nut, left loose, right tight.

Never seen one just by itself for sale. Aren't they cheap enough to just get one from CTD or Sportsman's Warehouse?
