1979 Ford Pinto that was passed down from my stepmom. Got it at 16. Hunter green outside, brown interior. Called it the green turd. Had it for about 6 months. Tried to kill it everyday. Ran it out of water, burned up the oil until the rocker arms popped off of the pushrods. My dad would fill up the oil, the water, put the rockers back on with a large screwdriver, and off it would go again. Traded/sold it for a 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo.

I love the USP .45 Tactical. Not so much the standard .45 USP. Something about it doesn't look right. Just my opinion. We have a USP in .40 that looks fine. Of course I have the Kimber and a Colt Series 70/MKIV so I am biased too.

Pro-Gun Bill Heads to Governor's Desk!
TNRobocop replied to Volzfan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hopefully this will stop Metro from destroying them. They have destroyed a TON of nice guns, including a buttload of AR's last year a friend of mine at Metro told me about. They even destroyed the sights and lights and other accessories that were on them. -
Out of state resident...can I buy a gun in TN
TNRobocop replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
FFL dealers have to be in compliance with the laws of both their home state as well as the state the buyer is from. In the case of Illinois, you would have to be in compliance with whatever the FOID BS entails and such. Myself personally, I would probably not make a sale to you. If I am not familar with your laws, I am not going to deal with it. -
I went to the Beamhit Instructor Course that the company put on up at Alpena ANG Training Center in MI back in 2008. We have a complete system using those that we never use because it isn't practical for what we do. Before that we had them at my sheriff's office back in 2003-2005 when I was there, never saw it used though. It's a decent enough system, designed to be incorporated into other systems and such, i.e. the hit detector can be placed in a target dummy/mannequin just as an example. Biggest problem is that it is unimaginative and boring pretty quickly. Better off getting a .22 conversion kit for your pistol.

Opinions on Mc Cann Scope Mounts for the M14/M1A
TNRobocop replied to TNRobocop's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
To be honest on the install, I broke the drill bit so just went to the range with it like it was otherwise. I did use med-lock loctite on everything, but that is habit. Went through about 100 rounds with nary a problem. Love it so far. weight isn't bad at all. Oleg put about a mag through it too out to 300 yds. He loved the setup. The rings are Badger Ordnance (IIRC) ones on a SS 10x42 scope. -

Well it is installed. Going to the range today with it. Took it over to Oleg Volk's house because he asked for some pictures of it to send to McCann. Taking Oleg to the range today also so we can see if it shoots as well as it looks. olegvolk: Scoped M14 -
Well if somebody wants to get a XCR that badly, just don't get one new. No reason to line the pockets of a Romney supporter. Alex Robinson, his employees, and his company can rot in smell.

Oh yeah, drunks are great for tourism... But back on topic, sounds like he is using this as leverage against the anti-gun turds that helped get it killed the first time.

Well it arrived. Nice construction. Very well made. Been busy at the base, but I have the installation half completed and have been taking pictures as I go. When I get some time off in a day or two I will complete the install and post the pictures. -
Well if you need a way point on I-40 I am in Hermitage and can store them here if someone can take them from here to say Knoxville.

Carry At Tea Party Convention in Nashville

Maybe people can carry concealed of they do carry and maybe the media cannot paint all of us as a bunch of nuts with iron dicks on the hips. -
Not for the identifier part unless you are retired or still work in LE.

You know there is bull:poop: and then there is very good bull:poop:.

Maybe you will learn something this time. Last time we were at the range you were horrible. Maybe they have a Firearms For Dummies Course you can take next time. I keed, I keed. Would like to take a course or two myself, just to see different teaching styles and such.

Opinions on Mc Cann Scope Mounts for the M14/M1A
TNRobocop replied to TNRobocop's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Talked to the owner of McCann tonight for about an hour. I even threw in the former 11 series plug as well the the USAF stuff. I have a scope mount enroute. It sounds like the installation is a little more involved than other types, but not anything major or more than I have done before on M-14/M-1A platform rifles. Will update as stuff happens. -

I have found it between $150-$169. Looking at getting it since it is around the same cost as a #18. -
Is someone actually military or police?

So we just call them out and throw them under the TGO bus as we find them out or what? What say TGO? -
Is someone actually military or police?
TNRobocop replied to TNRobocop's topic in Feedback and Support
Thanks for the input. The reasoning for the military or police thing compared to the HCP or gender thing is that certain subjects are more familar to these individuals and their knowledge can be taken with more than a grain of salt. Also everyone hates posers. Be proud of what you are, not pretending to be something your aren't. Plus if someone is trying to sell something or run a business by posing as a cop or military in order to get the trust of a member, that is risky also. Would be nice to know who really is and who isn't all that they say. As far as verification, that wouldn't be hard to do. Like has been said a simple call or e-mail can verify LE and most .mil employment, plus the ID thing too. Either way thanks for the information. -
This is the one I was thinking of. They even have recruiting pamphlets at our base, and they are usually at least at most of the Nashville gunshows.

Is there a way to setup a confirmation system that if someone is actually claiming that they are military veteran or police (active/retired) before allowing them to have it listed under their user name? I wonder about some of the posters and I believe some are just posers. I know that you have to confirm on sites such as snipershide before they let you into certain areas. Wondering that could be done here somehow.
