Actually this would possibly make the 16's MORE expensive since their costs aren't spread out among the production. Now the 17 on the other hand, MIGHT go down a bit, but I wouldn't count on it.

Don't go away mad, just go away. And no you don't get to exercise your 1st Amendment rights on a private forum if the owner decides not to let you. The 1st protects you from the .gov restricting your right. Maybe if you took the test to become a citizen, you might know that.

I hope you know I was kidding. Still getting used to the new format and didn't put at smilie with it.

We didn't wear body armor and polyester uniform shirts at the range. Heck the shirts would melt if that was an issue. You apparently are just believing the uninformed hype about the C models. It is not an issue and would be perfectly fine for a carry pistol. The flames do not "shoot out" like some people think. Try one sometime.

But if it says Glock it has to be better.....

Like the others have said, the 28 is not allowed into civilian hands in the US. They are available for department purchase and such, but because of the caliber mainly, it doesn't meet enough of the importation points to be brought here for commercial sales. That being said, I have never seen one in person. But I wonder why they don't make them at the plant in GA. Of course ammo is hard to get a reasonable price and .380 isn't the most deadly cartridge out there, but I am sure there is a market if they built it here in the US.

People who think they will be blinded or catch their clothes on fire from hip firing do not have a clue when it comes to Glock "C" Models. Ignorance isn't always bliss. We carried 21C's at the sheriff's office in Oklahoma and never had a problem with it during night fire or tucked in firing. I have probably put 1K of .45ACP down range with the 21C I was issued as well as watching other deputies fire and didn't see an issue or hear of one from other deputies. Just another stupid internet rumor spread by the ignorant.

I guarantee you will get a worse offer. A gun dealer, either at a shop or at the show, is out to make money. Your gun is not even worth wholesale price to a dealer since it is used. Being a Taurus, it will be seen as cheaper or not as popular. Nothing really against Taurus, just a fact that it isn't a Glock, Beretta, or Sig. It is all about profit. A used gun has a lower value to a potential buyer because it isn't new. Like has been advised, try to private sell it to an individual online. The offers you would probably get at a show would pizz you off.

Was wondering when that was going to happen. Especially after some of his comments in other threads.

TN CCW Defends Life Is Arrested needs help
TNRobocop replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Between the low post count (i.e. newbie), the inaccuracies in recounting the law in TN, and the fact that the whole story makes no sense, but at the same time is facing charges yet tells the whole story (from his POV) on an open forum, and I recall no news story about this, I am calling a huge flag on the play. -
Brownells is where I get mine from. I have a universal one made from bar stock that is indestructable (so far) after breaking two Glock factory ones. The one I have now can be used for several types of pistols. It is blue in color if that helps when you look them up.

Maybe only the ones that were constructive were kep and the garbage ones were tossed out?

No desire to ever go to dopearoo.....

Don't forget that if you do go to Kommiefornia, be on the safe side and take no high-cap mags there. Kinda like taking loaded mags to a RK Show in Knoxville.....
-
So keep it unloaded and secured in the trunk. Kommiefornia is like that. Do not even think about carrying it while you are there.

Hope for getting rid of Redlight Cameras in TN?
TNRobocop replied to aquaman67's topic in General Chat
What's sad is that the red light cameras were a somewhat good idea on for use at dangerous intersections. Then the stupid things started to have a life of their own, the companies were manipulating the times for triggering the cameras, etc. The red light cameras I can kind of see. Cameras for speed enforcement are stupid all the way around. Either way an individual should have the right to face their accuser. Kinda hard to take a camera to court. -
After all the headaches over the last year, I can't realistically see the state legislature to ever want to touch the hcp or bars/restaurants definition/licensing issues again for a LONG time. I would like to be pleasantly surprised though.....
-
100% agree. Lots of lawful people like the idea of no paper trail for various reasons, all of them legal. Have someone show you a TN DL (must be 18 for all firearms purchases) or even better a HCP (quickest "background check" I can think of ), get cash, say thanks, and goodbye.

If you were closer to Nashville I could give you a hand. However, they have the tool and the knowledge to install the sights. Working on a car and working on a gun is similar. You are paying for the knowledge. There is a labor charge on both. That is what you are paying for. If you don't want to pay it, buy the tool yourself and change the sights out on your own.

Thread protector when shooting
TNRobocop replied to 9teeneleven's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
The problem with most methods of securing it is that they melt/loosen under high heat. Red or blue Loc-Tite or teflon tape will do that. If you slow fire, maybe blue loc-tite will work. You do not want to use red or purple. Red is "permanent" and the purple is for very lite use. If you can find high heat tape it "might" work. Otherwise wear nomex gloves and check it periodically. Fast attach suppressors were not designed for continuous fire. Permanent ones such as the one on the MP5-SD and Sten/Sterling ones are. Just the nature of the beast on pistols. -
Ok. I didn't know about TNFF319, but I forgot about saint. Thanks.

The YMH ones are held under tension. Never had a problem with mine on either the .308 or the .223. -
TMMT, SCK I know. Who else is on vacation?
