Friends don't let friends get treated at Southern Hills

Long story short.......the law has (temporarily at least) reverted back to what it probably was when you deployed. For a few weeks, we had legal carry into (unposted) establishments that served for on-premises consumption if you didn't drink. A Davidson County Chancery Court injunction negated that, and now we're back to no legal carry in any establishment that serves for on-premises cosumption.

When we went from Puerto Rico to St. Lucia, I am pretty sure that they (American Eagle) had flights going out at the same time from PR to Bonaire. Sooooo..............Nashville to Miami to Puerto Rico to Bonaire Disclaimer - I am not a travel agent, and I could be misremembering that day from the alcohol or from the humidity.

If I'm in uniform, and not offered a discount, I pay what they say and move on. There's no "WTF ? Where's my discount ?!!?" Do I expect a discount ? NO. Do I appreciate the occasional courtesy ? Yes. When I accept one, do I feel like (as you do) that I am "abusing my job title" ? No, I don't. When I signed up for this job, my overriding thought wasn't "Man, I am sooooo gonna rack up on that sweet 10% off at Captain D's !" It's your family business. You don't want to offer a LE/Fire/EMS/Military discount ? Then don't. It's not a tough decision.

They're real. There's even a HCP school here in Middle Tennessee that not only offers them during class, but pretty adamantly encourages them. IMO.....

I don't recall an offensive odor or an unusually long wait, but our visit was nothing special. It wasn't terrible, but the hype we had heard about the place was not lived up to. It may not be the romantic atmosphere you're looking for, but a better steak can be had at Outback or Demos'. YMMV

HCP badges are generally frowned upon around here, and I concur with that sentiment. My advice - carry concealed, and avoid the badge.
