anybody else had trouble like I posted with Bullseye?  I mean that stuff wasn't coming out unless scrubbed to the point of taking paint and all off.

I have an old LC in 12ga.  It too made by Hunter.  I have used it several times on S. Dakota pheasant hunts.  I used typical trap loads, loaded with 'English 7's'.  Stay away from heavy loadings in these old guns; they have a history of cracking the wood in the wrist of the stock.

Get your taper crimp down to 0.468. Be sure you are placing the bullet on the case mouth as close to perfectly straight as possible. If you feel there is wax and or lead around the case mouth, take some Hornady cleaner/lube on a cloth clean the area by twisting it in cloth several times. This can cause some chamber build up and tightness, especially if you first few rounds are cycling well then it starts getting erratic.

Well.....IF...... it breaks off, it is not a very tight fit and I assume the bad guy will have one extra hole in him with a 'little yellow thingy' sticking in him too.  :cool:

skeet and trap have different requirements.  While both can be shot with 7 1/2  shot or smaller, some skeet fields require #9 shot, which works just fine and preferred by many. No need for heavy loads.  Skeet can also be shot with any gauge, hence smaller shot will give better pattern density.   Trap on the other hand is a 12ga game.  Not that you can't use others, but serious trap is a 12 game.  Generally 7 1/2 or 8 is a personal choice until you start backing up beyond the 20 yd. line, then the nod goes to the 7.1/2. 

I would bet most who post negatively about the Vesa Carry have not tried it.  I use one routinely.  Very easy to put on and take off.  Routinely it is comfortable, and very good concealment.  Releases the gun easily.  Oh yeah, haven't shot myself either and I carry with one in the pipe.

Anybody want to get rid of their 9mm, I be glad to re-cycle it for them. 

I usually leave my powder in the hopper of my Hornady LNL.  The Bullseye was practically glued to the sides of the metal part and had to be wire brushed off......paint and all.  The plastic portion of the hopper was yellowed and blistered from the prolonged contact.  WSF powder slightly yellowed the plastic, but was not stuck to the metal after prolonged exposure.  Haven't had any difficulty with Clays for my shotgun reloader with either of the issues, but the plastic bottles are different.

yes, Lee molds.  But I think I will take RED up on his soot offer.  I trust that it is 'certified' soot and has passed all EPA standards. :surrender:

what is your favorite product to keep the casting mold from being 'sticky'.  Having some trouble getting the bullets to drop out of the molds freely.  Any favorite 'home brew'?

haven't been there......but never seen it at the two indoor ranges I have been to.  Sounds like a poor design.  It is a gun range you know.

September issue of Guns and Ammo addresses this problem.  According to the articled all are running 24/7.  All are also investing and expanding operations.  My guess is that by spring there will be normal ammo supplies.  (I HOPE)

Very good article in Sep 2013  Guns and Ammo.  The companies are running 24/7 making ammo and guns.  New companies are starting up; old ones expanding.  That is all GOOD.  More gun sells than ever.  Hopefully these people vote.  Several things came together to cause a decrease in availability and the only thing that the gov'mt can be blamed for is fueling the 'panic' buys of both guns and ammo.  More folks wanting guns = more ammo needed.  It is temporary and things are loosening up.  Hope the vultures who tried to gouge everyone get choked on their stockpile.  Like any investment, they will have to keep theirs long term or sell it for a loss eventually.

Hard to do better than the 22/45.

If this is such a terrible place to live.......why don't they just get the hell out of the country.  They are free to go at any time.  We sure have enough coming in, legally and illegally to take their place.  

IF you can find shot for less than $30 / 25#, then you can make a go of it.  I've loaded tens of thousands through the years to keep the family appetite in check for sporting clays.  If you can find Nobel, Rio, AA, Gun Club, or Rem STS around the $6 mark, then that is the way to go.  Shot shell reloading is a far cry from the days of reloading for $2 a box.  Don't see how anyone can make out with the component situation the way it is........let alone figure in the purchase of a good reloader, time, etc.

Tactical Advantage, which is ran by Eric Matson at Coal Creek Armory, offers some very good training at a very reasonable cost.  I have trained with several different companies, more than a dozen different instructors, and IMO Eric more than holds his own in offering very good courses.  I would encourage anyone that carries routinely to seek training, and if near the Knoxville area Eric is a very good resource.
