  1. http://www.4facets.com/tumbler.html#lg. I have the 12lb model. Bought it used on eBay and have cleaned thousands of cases. Would not hesitate to recommend wet tumbling regardless of the brand.
  2. He's a damn actor.....can't believe a word any of them say anyway; plus who cares.  Like others, I am done with his movies as well.  He is on my 'Stalone' list.
  3. v Thought we were discussing hearing....
  4. REALLY.....quess me and a lot of other 1911 users are really out of touch
  5. Seemed appropriate for the times to me.  Punch line appreciated in a satirical way.
  6. just like your auto tag renewal notice, it usually comes but sometimes it doesn't.  If you haven't gotten one and yours expires in a couple of months just give Nashville a call.
  7. Now see, that is what keeps you in trouble.......I suppose you are just checking the wind direction :stir:

  10.   http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/illinois.pdf page 9-10   RV/Car Carry Without A Permit/License You can’t carry a loaded firearm in a vehicle without a valid Permit/license. Section 40 (e) Nothing in this Act shall prohibit a non-resident from transporting a concealed firearm within his or her vehicle in Illinois, if the concealed firearm remains within his or her vehicle and the non-resident :   (1) is not prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm under federal law; (2) is eligible to carry a firearm in public under the laws of his or her state or territory of residence, as evidenced by the possession of a concealed carry license or permit issued by his or her state of residence, if applicable; and (3) is not in possession of a license under this Act. If the non-resident leaves his or her vehicle unattended, he or she shall store the firearm within a locked vehicle or locked container within the vehicle in accordance with subsection (b) of Section 65 of this Act. 11. See handgun carry law USA. Illinois. Section 40
  12. I have the same understanding as Will in regard to IL.  And.....they don't want you to stay long.   Reference Legal Heat.......non-resident with a Permit
  13. I just received a reply from Sen. Richard Briggs. He supports the bill and added that he generally supports 2nd Amendment issues.
  14. I agree with you. I support the bill and will contact my reps. Just saying' about the OC being a fly in the ointment.
  15. It is a good bill until the OC crowd decides to go to school.
  16. M&P you won't be sorry.
  17. Personally know active duty person who could not get permit until they got TDL.
  18. I think it boils down to : Can you show you did everything reasonably possible to avoid the conflict which in turn still placed you in a situation where you were in imminent threat of death or severe injury. At that time the use of deadly force is justified, just as simply brandishing your firearm would be justified as well. IF you are in such a situation, really who cares what anyone else thinks if you feel that was your only option at the time? To further establish your grounds you need to also immediately contact LEO. Sometimes that is what makes you the 'good-guy'.
  19. I routinely carry my shield with the VersaCarry.
  20. The 390 was a long-time flagship shotgun for Beretta.  It will be the most excellent choice of what you have mentioned for your intended purposes, not to mention the versatility for sporting clays or for hunting.
  21. I had one of the original SBE and shot it until it wore out...and was happy to replace it with another close to the same vintage at auction. From snipe to turkey not to mention clays there is not a more reliable and good handling, versable shotgun. I say that to point out that shortly after its import to the US, Benelli made some changes that affected several of those characteristics. When the SBE II came on board it recaptured the feel and reliability. I seldom use 3 1/2 " shells but nice to have the option. Go with the SBE, you won't have any regrets.
  22. Same here. Blue or Red, each have their quirks and after a short learning curve make good ammo.
  23. All producers of ammunition can and do have defects, big and small, in their production. It does not matter their name or the source. It can be as simple as a round not chamfering, a primer backwards, misfire, squib, or the dreaded K-BOOM. It basically comes down to percentages/source. Play the odds start with major manufacturers and work your down to a newbie that just found some neat bullet stuff in his uncle's basement. I reload to shoot more ( save money? HA) blowing up a gun and resulting medical bills are not in that definition. So each has to weigh risks vs benefit and know your source.

  25. No small frame gun is going to be as easy to shoot as a full size 'range' gun.  I have a CM9 and it is fine for SD.  But my EDC choice is a M&P shield.  Very fast point and shoot gun, and very reliable.
