  1. ? Assuming carry permit class. Look at Tac Sog web site in Knoxville. Several options. Also Pellissippi State
  2. IF you enjoy reloading and IF you are excessive compulsive in doing so, then by all means do it.  If you are doing only to save money and don't want to invest time, effort, etc., simply purchase on line.

    Cz and sig?

a lot of good guns out there.  Simply boils down to your needs and preferences.  Make dependability a priority and go from there.
  4. yep, would recommend Fury Solutions
  5. Yes......interested
  6. Shoulders go downhill pretty quickly. Generally stiffness is your enemy. Early intervention is better. Get to an orthopedist, establish a correct diagnosis, then pick your option. Everyone on TGO wants to help but internet treatment isn't the way to do it.
  7. If you come into Knoxville, give me a call and will be glad to show you the LNL>
  8. IMO fixing problems that are minimal or don't exist.  The Shield is a very good design as is.  Lite, easily controlled.  I shot the new version....wouldn't trade even.  Don't fix what ain't broke.
  9. I have tried just about everything. I gave the Frog a try. Tried a little, tried a lot, tried letting it dry, etc, etc. Especially if the gun set for several weeks it would get gummy, 1911 was very noticeable. Tetra has been good, but mobile 1 is my go to for everything and no problems.
  10. Mobil 1 for all situations. KISS
  11. I have the Hornady LNL.  thousands of 45 and 9mm.  Nothing to bad mouth about Dillon, but the LNL and 650 are on even ground IMO.  If you are adding bullet and/or case feeder I would give the nod to Dillon.  Each has its idiosyncrasies.  Both have good customer service.
  12. In my review the Utah offers nothing that TN permit doesn't, and in fact being a permitted TN holder much wider acceptance/reciprocity.
  13. Just a general legal question. I was told that a charge, ticket, etc could never be expunged unless it was part of the initial court disposition/record.
  14. IMO I don't think so....it is just rude to point a gun at someone.  The victim as well as others were in imminent threat and self-defense was appropriate. No one should be required to run away screaming......of course depending on your local DA, milage may vary.
  15. Recent ORSA email:   All:   In preparation for next years USPSA state championship match we are planning to host a range officer (RO) class and a certified range officer (CRO) class.   To facilitate registration for these classes, I have set up practiscore to allow registering.   RO Class - https://practiscore.com/orsa-range-officer-class/register CRO class - https://practiscore.com/orsa-cro-certified-range-officer-class/register   The RO class will be March 12-13 and registration is now open.  If you need hotel accommodations ORSA has an agreement with the local Comfort Inn $70 per night.  Ask for LORSA rate when registering. A flyer is attached.  There are a variety of other hotel offerings in Oak Ridge and West Knoxville as well.   Registration process will be as follows: Register online at the above link Then send payment ($40) to: ORSA RO Class  C/O Robert Garrett 3243 Fairview Lane Strawberry Plains, TN 37871 Once I receive your payment then I'll approve your registration and send you an email confirmation. As class dates approach you will receive additional information pertaining to the class.    CRO Registration is currently closed until we nail down dates.  I think Mark is shooting for April for CRO class.  Some of you have expressed interest in CRO class.  If you want to reiterate your interest simply reply to this message.    Thanks Robert Garrett   https://web.mail.comcast.net/service/home/~/?auth=co&loc=en_US&id=1009816&part=2
  16. Even though most chiefs are appointed by mayors or city managers, that makes it more important that we elect responsible leaders who make those appointments. Just look at Nashville and Knoxville as examples.

    M&P 9mm

The 45 M&P is my favorite. Only have 5 other M&Ps.
  18. Different sale ads via email. AIM. SG ammo 2 right off hand
  19. Twice as much lead for starters. My cutoff is usually $10 or less for 9s and around $15 for 45 for 50 rounds.
  20. doesn't really matter.....has no force of law, but could bolster a suit and make one feel better about filing it.  Unfortunately with the current Nash. administration this is probably the tip of the iceberg.
  21. Also more expensive powders are generally used.  Most have a flash suppressant and therefore require a few more grains as well.
  22. You can try the liquid waterproof spray as advertised on tv.  It sprays out with 'strands' that would be sticky.
  23. Assuming the bad guy is going to say 'ready, set , GO'. Appreciate one is going to be caught off-guard, must recognize the threat, present the gun from concealment (pocket, purse, IWB, etc.) and then fire accurately......... a lot to process in 1 1/2 sec.
  24. Those who know their limitations are to be commended.  Some folks shouldn't carry, period.  But as the majority have pointed out, guns should normally be carried to be utilized immediately.  55% of firearm usage is from 0 to 5 feet.  Too close to utilize both hands for your gun, and your support hand is probably going to be carrying something or warding off a blow, etc.  That is why your gun should be fully loaded with one in the chamber and another reason to practice shooting from position 3.  Also if your gun is equipped with a safety, use it.  If you don't like a safety, purchase a gun that doesn't have one.  Failure to use a safety MAY result in a ND and possibly open the door for possible legal consequences.
  25. Check Dawson Precision web site.
