  1. The M&P compact may be what you are looking for. Can swing both ways, open or concealed. I like the 1.0 just fine, but the 2.0 is out now.
  2. What....???? No steering wheel ? Looks like it has everything else.
  3. Simple to remove striker. Clean out. I prefer Hornady Spray cleaner/lube. Pipe cleaners work in the tight space along with Qtip cleaners. https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=how+to+change+striker+in+M%26P#id=1&vid=04fea26ab5e80eea53753433077cc0d1&action=click
  4. midway has CCI shotshell/pistol loads on sale. I can vouch for the 9mm; cycles well.
  5. yes........or the entire gun as long as the recipient can legally possess.
  6. appreciate the reports. I have handled one, but not shot one. Easy to rack the slide, plus easy to load magazine given the small magazine assist to pull the follower down.
  7. Just more good press for the highly trained, dependable, independent FBI.
  8. handled one, haven't shot one. Very easy to work slide. Magazine easy to load. Has spring assist button like the .22mags for easy loading. Almost identical in size to the .22 compact. Like the grip safety and thumb safety. Would imagine it is very light recoil.
  9. Man am I going to be sore tomorrow......Randy put us through the paces of some up close situations where one may have to deflect an attack and continue to try and reach your own gun for defensive purposes. As always, a very informative and practical handgun shooting class where in personal defense 2nd place is a terrible finish. Thanks Randy for an excellent course once again. I would urge anyone, new or experienced to take some of the excellent offerings from Randy.
  10. Another vote for TASTE OF THE WILD dog food. Let is sit out and eat ad lib. If dog starts getting fat cut back. Some dogs just eat when they are hungry....not on a routine basis. Your dog is gaining weight, so wouldn't worry.
  11. I hate leaving such things up to the discretion of others....
  12. Have a shooting buddy that tried US..now does the SS pins. Never had a problem with rust. My pins simply airdry in the tumbler sitting in the garage. But I suspect if they did rust the next tumble would simply rub it off and pour out with the next rinse.
  13. stainless/wet cleaning is the only way to go. Same set-up for 6 yrs. On hot days you can dry outside in the sun in a short period. If you have a shoe rack for your clothes dryer you can put clean brass in a wire basket and set on it. Or put the wire basket in the oven 175* for about an hour. Anyway, brass is super clean and shiny inside and out.
  14. also note 18-20yo military personnel may obtain a HCP
  15. A matter of semantics. One can carry in their vehicle, openly or concealed. It is often referred to as 'permitless carry'. That was my reference in the previous post. You are correct in that TN only has a HCP, either open or concealed is permitted. The vehicle weapon possession is for only inside the vehicle/boat. Go in to Weigles to get your coffee without a valid permit and that potentially can bring a charge. TCA §39-17-1307(e) You may legally carry or possess a loaded firearm or firearm ammunition in a motor vehicle or boat without a Handgun Carry Permit in TN so long as: You are not prohibited from possessing or receiving a firearm under applicable federal or state law You are lawfully in possession of the motor vehicle/boat You must be at least 21 to purchase handgun Keeping in vehicle is an extension of the “Castle Doctrine”
  16. Larry Vickers had a recent article on this. Notes that many simply ignore the basic rule of 'never point the gun at anything you are not willing to destroy' once a weapon has been cleared. This can create a bad, cavalier attitude with deadly results.
  17. I would be interested in a specific case.
  18. while someone ignorant of TN state law may raise a question if under 21, the permit speaks for itself. No need to explain. Permitless carry may again cause more questioning, but that is another thread.
  19. I agree, pointing a gun at anyone is simply RUDE ! I see it all the time at gun stores. I couldn't sell guns. Potential customer takes gun from salesperson and immediately and negligently points it at clerk and others in store. I would simply grab the gun back and say you are too stupid to buy a gun. I am uncomfortable pointing a blue gun at myself let alone others.

  21. It's all about the money......
  22. Nice offer. However, just FYI ccw/ HCP classroom has to be inspected/certified by state for the school conducting the class.
  23. LT has to be done in person. Do it at anytime.
  24. Have a Ryobi electric with 2000lb. pressure. Automatic soap dispenser as well. If one is around an electric source will do about any house job. Simple and easy. Would buy again.
  25. top end Aquillas run more reliably than CCI minimags in the Sig Mosquito as well as in a couple of gun mag articles
