  1. Bryl and I will see you there.
  2. Since we are on 380s, will do a slight hijack. Had 3 people shoot the 380 EZ in a class yesterday. Seem to be a right nice gun with good size, accuracy, and ease of use.
  3. My goal in life is to wear out as many guns as possible. I have literally worn out 3 shotguns. Trying the same with pistols now. I am a shooter, not a collector. Good excuse to buy another gun and is a pretty good indicator that you have enjoyed a lot of range time with friends.
  4. I will say it again, SCCY. I have gifted several of these guns and several friends also have purchased on my recommendation. 9mm, 10+1 cap. Lifetime warranty, made in US. Have bought mine for $200 out the door. It is not a range gun, but for SD, good size and reliable.
  5. you will need a passport or birth certificate. They don't take checks either.
  6. The NRA deserves our support. As a matter of fact, if they fail, we don't have a chance. You will never agree with all of their moves and stances. Heck, I never agree with myself a 100% of the time.
  7. RRA with match trigger, 2x7 3200 Bushnell scope, shooting 55 gr. factory Hornady SP, from a rest, sub 1" groups routinely at 100 yds.
  8. and recently have seen the M&P shield for 250. Then a $50 rebate makes it a top buy.
  9. you can soften your 9mm with reloaded 147gr. some even use 165 gr,
  10. Price is 1.0, rebate is either.
  11. also note that I have seen the shield priced in the knoxville area for around $250. Plus S&W rebate for military active, retired , or honorably discharged for $40.
  12. I’ve carried a 1.0 Shield almost daily for 5 yrs. Shoot it often. Stock except for ameriglo yellow night sight. I have a safety on mine. Completely reliable, easily concealed. Remember as your round count increases so does the weight. There is a reason it is one of the top selling handguns.
  13. No surprise to me; same old Taurus. Looking for an inexpensive pistol go with the SCCY. Lifetime warranty no matter who made the purchase.
  14. I don't know, but doesn't this RED FLAG LAW for guns apply equally to rape? Remember that guy, Brett Kavanaugh?
  15. Just a FYI for anyone that finds themself in the situation and have an OP. One can immediately obtain a HCP, valid only in TN for 60days. Time enough to take a class for a reg. HCP in the interim. Just follow 39-17-1365.
  16. Remington R1 is a nice, solid gun in various configurations. If you are looking to buy once, get a Dan Wesson.
  17. Discharge of a gun in the city for 1. Possession of a handgun while consuming 2. Impairment not a requirement....just influence, and that is one sip. Child endangerment 3. Fleeing the scene 4. All wrapped up with a 'consciousness of guilt' by fleeing. Wouldn't want to be that guy.
  18. new SCCY 169, holds 10 +1. Reliable. Shield 269. Either before Taurus IMO.
  19. IMO yes. The statue deals with the permit in regard to a violation. However, alcohol consumption will in all likelihood complicate the investigation and your defense. In turn, expect a corresponding increase in your legal fee.
  20. My mother and family are from Russell Co. , all early and pre 1900s.
  21. Yes indeed, congrats to CHL on the turbo. Those times are based on the times of the elite shooters, and therefore those pins are definitely earned, not given, through dedicated practice in “ pistol marshal arts.” Also thanks to CHL for guiding and instruction in my journey of defensive pistol shooting. Gabe White is truly a professor in pistol shooting, both for competition and defensive use. It was a great class and getting to rub elbows with very skilled classmates, some known throughout the pistol community, was an awesome experience.
  22. I carry to 1.0 shield with safety. perfectly happy. I have shot the 2.0. A little nicer for the reasons mentioned, but no difference as a carry gun except for the highly textured grip. If you wear it next to your skin you will wind up sandpapering the panel down. J Floyd had the 1.0 without safety for 269. I like either, just personal preference and cost issue.
  23. Like him or hate him, that was a very good discussion on an aspect of TN law that can be enlightening and beneficial to readers. Granted, a little more civility was in order and that should have taken place with the mods and vendor rules adhered to. Always enjoy the legal discussion on SD.
