  1. I would do what Dave TN said. Additionally, have you spoken to your neighbor? Ask him to come over and look at your range.
  2. So I go turkey hunting today. By myself, no contact with anyone along the way....IMO the safest place to be as far as CO19.
  3. another example of a firearm preventing a crime that will never make the statistics.
  4. I believe that driving for a recreational purpose is listed under essential activity. Keeping social distance in mind. Based on that, and that it is an individual recreational activity, there is a turkey in trouble Sat. https://www.tn.gov/twra/covid-19.html
  5. May be different now with the gov. Lee giving stay at home order.
  6. Put a red dot sight on your pistol....good grip for racking a slide, but an expensive fix.
  7. I know. I have taken the Instructor's courses from TG. He always impresses that the bad guy picks the time and place and no one is immune. Maybe you can get your co-worker to read the article.
  8. Tom Givens gave this interview. Very enlightening. I have taken several courses from Mr. Givens, and have heard this before. Lot of fake news/stats regarding crime out there. Interesting read. https://rangemaster.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Givens_Willingness_v2.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0jDSD-8QbrVUa0igb0IUj5tTuEanSLXoNCBlBOeUB1kmbyohlDoaqwtHk This is the reason we carry and train....tragic stories.
  9. wouldn't hurt to try some crimp and see what happens
  10. Check crimp. Too little or too much, esp if you were loading fmj then changed to soft lead without crimp adjustments.
  11. I sent my back during the 1st recall about 18months ago. Trigger came back just terrible. Called them and they said, essentially, tough. How are yours after the 'fix'? I have another compact that I think I will leave well enough alone.
  12. By their rules they have 3 months (best memory) before the pandemic was generally running 3 weeks. They haven't suspended processing AFAIK, but the FBI may be the hold up. Just wait it out.
  13. Oak Ridge Sportsman Association has just ceased all organized shooting events until 4/18.
  14. https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2020/03/24/gov-tom-wolf-reopens-gun-shops/?fbclid=IwAR0tUi44XrfcYyn0nDgSbQ8seD8aBZej1YeHLjFRRIJ2jkqFZRDTG5jm3jM
  15. Left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I had similar problems getting an active duty officer their HCP after successful completion of the course. They became so frustrated with the process, they just dropped the whole process. There is a disconnect somewhere upstream.
  16. https://ruger.com/products/pcCharger/models.html plus one can add a folding stock and a silencer

  18. Shouldn’t really matter. You can shoot from any horse...... at least once !
  19. can't remember the name, but there is a local reman that use to supply Knoxville Gun Range. Plenty of ammo and decent price. Maybe someone here remembers the name.
  20. Nope perfectly, by the letter, law-abiding citizen.
  21. On the subject of school carry; anyone know of a private school which has a carry policy?
  22. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20061009/president-bush-signs-nra-backed-disast?fbclid=IwAR1P_hQ3WZ4GevSzAUBJmZXfWSKeDVOHhK_gdDKDTbaPwAaE4l1e_qyKf64
  23. IF you case is adjudicated in your favor, then yes there is a law where a civil case cannot be filed. BAC not only is '0', simple act of taking a sip, or even on breath can march you down the path of possession of a firearm while consuming alcohol. If one has used deadly force in a legitimate fashion, then other laws that may have been broken are waived by the state. (ie, possession by a felon, sign laws, etc.) Don't have the citations at the tip of my fingers but noted in the law for each point.
