  1. May persons possessing handgun carry permits possess their handguns while on WMAs, PHAs, or refuges open to hunter access? Recent legislative changes provide that individuals who possess a carry permit may possess their handgun while on TWRA wildlife management areas, public hunting areas, or refuges open to hunter access. The handgun may not be used for taking game unless specifically permitted by TWRA regulation. This change will now allow those with carry permits to possess their handgun at times when previously it would not have been permissible such as during archery hunting. TWRA will apply this same interpretation to those possessing carry permits while hunting on private lands.
  2. A little confusing. No permit holder can legally carry on a public school campus unless, they are an employee and possess an ECP, made their intentions known to local LEO (such as campus police) and keep the firearm concealed. There are several restrictions to that person such as athletic events, medical facility, etc. Private institutions can make their own policy, including K-12 schools.
  3. Consensus is that immunity is short-lived; around 90 days. After that time vaccine is recommended. vaccine scare stated 20 yrs ago and is a myth https://time.com/5175704/andrew-wakefield-vaccine-autism/?back=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fclient%3Dsafari%26as_qdr%3Dall%26as_occt%3Dany%26safe%3Dactive%26as_q%3DWho+started+the+autism+scare+with+vaccines%26channel%3Daplab%26source%3Da-app1%26hl%3Den

  5. No need for the clause. TN addressed that years ago. Only the State legislature may create laws regarding weapons with minimal exceptions. Both ECP and CCP have reciprocity. Minimal differences in privileges.
  6. with all that is going on? Yes and we will all be getting around on flying unicorns.......
  7. Have a M&P 5" that I had milled by Chris Vittetoe here in Knoxville. He mounted a SRO on it. Do not have a rear sight. Works fine, made the full commitment and glad I did. Have a 2.0 that I mounted a Holosun 407 with the EGW. No complaints and no backup sights with it either....actually like it better. No loosening and I've probably put at least a couple thousand rounds through it.

  19. AllGuns.......to armchair your situation, your mistake was leaving to retrieve a gun then confronting the BG again. You were in a safe area and should have stayed put and dialed 911.
  20. Essentially, I believe the shooter will always have to have an argument of or 'Burden of Production' that the shooting was in self defense. The judge does not have to accept that argument based of the amount of supporting evidence. In home shootings there is a much more favorable standing or lower bar to reach, but still must be made. Prosecuters try to avoid cases where there is strong evidence they will lose. The standard of imminent death or SBI will still apply in or out of your abode. The point on civil immunity does require the adjudication by the judge to be in play in TN.
  21. you never know what is going to set someone off.....stay meek and swallow one's pride
  22. Yep, and seriously injured her bank account as well. Will in all likely hood have plenty of time to think about it sitting in a cell.
