  1. im assuming that would be like dropping a registered auto sear in a newer ar-15?
  2.     "Genuine PRE-BAN Heckler & Koch 91 battle rifle. 1982 makes this one of the few H&K91s out there which is eligible for conversion to full auto should you have the time and money"      He said he was offered 3000.00 and turned it down. my question... is he wrong or right on being able to converting it to full auto legally? my gut says he's full of it.
  3. thanks guys for the advice and the prayers. I passed the test. computer shut off at 88 questions with 1 hour left on the clock. that was kinda scary.
  4. im actually studying to be an emt in Kentucky but the closest testing site is Morristown tn. is practicals the same as "skills"? if so I took those last Saturday. just before testing started I had a major nosebleed and had to be taken to the ER. after about an hour of bleeding the dr. stuffed 2 "tampons" up both nostrils and sent be back to test. any and all thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.
  5. Chuck Norris can come out of hiding now
  6. im taking the nremt tomorrow at 10am. anybody got any pointers, suggestions, or advise. maybe say a prayer for me?
  7. ancestory.com is great. I got a subscription for 3 months to look up my mothers side of the family. it pretty much does the searching for you. I highly suggest using it if you don't know much about your family history.
  8. My last name is Partin. I got lucky and found a guy who did all the work and traced our family tree back to my 6x grandfather, who was born in the 1760's in Virginia. no one can connect him to the first Partin (Robert)to come to the United States from the British Isles in 1609. He arrived on the ship The Blessinge from London in 1609. It is thought he changed the spelling when he boarded the ship to the US.original spellings could have been Parton, Partington or Parten. There is a town in the UK named Partington and a Parton Bay in town named Whitehaven UK. So its a mystery where my family originated. another interesting twist to the Partin family tree is here. http://www.partinfamily.org/  and here   http://www.partinfamily.org/Ann_Stacy_letter.htm
  9. Not sure I would want to try this.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2KIqOmeHCU4
  10. would anybody care to guess which of the 3 days will it be the least crowded? the last time I went the vendors set up the tables where the support columns were in the walking isles. which made for a very long day.
  11. stopped at a local gun store in Tazewell Tn. Thursday. the owner builds his own ar-15s. I think the name is ironworks armory on the rifle. anyway. he had 40 left. he's still selling at around $800.00 last time I heard.  MIKES GUNSHOP in Tazewell tn. if you're considering buying I would call first. a lot can be sold in 48 hours.
  12. the wife and i went to the knoxville gun show. i don't plan on going back to chilhowee park. it was very crowded. so crowded you couldnt see what people were carrying to trade on. the vendors set up their tables so the columns would be in the walking isles, if somebody stopped to look at something beside a column, it completely stopped the flow of traffic. also i came upon a few rude people. one guy jumped in front of me and made an offer on a gun i was trying to buy. wouldnt have made me so mad but the offer he made was exactly what i was gonna offer. long story short, he got the gun. i walked away red faced. cant wait for the next show at the expo center.
