  1. I see both sides of this and this is one thing I have not seen mentioned. Why did she pull into the end of a cul de sac when electricity was off to talk on the phone? IMO not the smartest thing to do.
  2. It took me a minute to figure that one out. I guess I lead a sheltered life.
  3.   Remote starting locks the doors so no one else can get in and drive it. Also  when you do get in you have to put key in or it will kill the engine when you try to drive it or in the case of push button start, have the key fob with you. As to your other questions I don't have a clue.
  4. If you want to count when I first put my thumb on my I phone I have a failure rate of 10 to 20 percent. It usually works in time but who wants a gun that does that? And I don't wear a watch so no way would I ever buy a new gun if this was forced on the public.
  5.   When the show first I figured he would be dead long before now but somehow he's hanging on and seems to be stepping up somewhat. I still don't much like him but  maybe they have plans for him becoming a hero.
  6. I had already thought about what I was going to say about this but then I saw the picture. All I can say is good luck. I know it's going to be a hard decision.
  7. I've got the same feeling, Carol or Glen.
  8. I remember that now that you brought it to my attention.
  9.   This got me thinking. I can't recall it ever raining on the show. Can anyone?
  10. One more vote for fluke. After I got mine I wondered why I did not get one years ago.
  11. You better hang on to her. I know my wife couldn't take the gear oil smell in the house and I'm not sure I could. That smell tends to hang around.
  12. What's your impression of the stock? I have one of those coming for one I'm building. I know it's a little heavy and there are better looking stocks out there but I thought the PRS was a good fit for what I was building.
  13. Gun Log is a good one for I phone. You can keep track of guns and ammo  and do individual pictures with your phone and add them to gun log. There are other things on the app that I don't use that you might find useful.   https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gun-log/id443611628?mt=8
  14. I would buy a minimum of 200 acres, part pasture, part woods, Build a 3000 sq ft house in the middle of it, (built one that size before, sold it and moved off) that's plenty big enough for me. I'd build a nice barn, shooting range, and up size in boat, really up size. My sons would have their homes paid off or would be buying a home. My wife would have more horses and other animals. I do like the idea of the bunker that glowdotGlock mentioned. Lastly I would like to do some good with it to help others. No way could I spend all that money in my lifetime.
  15. It looks like it's the same thing as a geo thermal or water source heat pump that gets the water heated by the sun instead of taking it out the ground or other water source. I can see it working well if the sun is shinning but useless when it's cold and there is no sun. You couldn't rely on that for your only heat source.
  16.   I bought them from Garmin. They don't have all the info that the Corp of Engineers charts have but they are good for boating navigation. They have all the navigation aids, sailing line,  and channel markers that the charts have. It has a new name now but this is what I have: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/maps/on-the-water-maps/lakevu/u-s-lakevu-hd/prod125128.html. They have a better one for $199.00 that looks really nice. You are making me want to do some upgrading on maps.    I've never seen that link you posted. I'll check that out too.
  17. The 64 is a really good GPS receiver. I've had a 60, 62, and now 64. I had topo on the 62 but have not done it yet on the 64. Right now I have city navigator and US inland rivers and lakes. Don't do down load. By the cd. Reason being with a cd you can put it on your pc and use it on the 66? when it comes out, create routes on the pc and transfer it to the GPSr. That's the way I have with my river maps and have used it on all three. On the topo I bought by download, it's straight to GPSr and your done as far as using it again. I asked Garmin about this and they verified this. On city navigator you may have to buy a unlock to do another GPSR or you may get two unlocks with it.   I just looked at topo maps and the topo 100k sure looks nice. That's something new. That's what I'll get soon. Looks like you can only get that with on a card but you should be able to put that on your pc. Hope this helps a little.
  18. Thanks for the link, Dolomite. That's exactly what I'm doing but since this was my first rifle type buffer I was way over thinking it. I know now I have everything I need on the way.
  19. The stock mounts to A1 and A2 rifle-length receiver extension tube without A2 spacer so I guess I'm good there. What had me second guessing myself was the "not included" in this by Magpul:  "Mounts to rifle-length receiver extension tube without A2 spacer (not included)". I wasn't sure if they were talking about spacer or tube.   Everything makes more sense since you explained it. If I had needed more parts I wanted to go ahead and get it ordered. Thanks for the good info.
  20. I've only built or owned ar15 carbines but now doing a rifle build. I'm using a Magpul PRS stock. I've ordered buffer tube, buffer, and spring. What's a buffer tube extension and do I need it? If so what is it for? Do I need the end plate with a rifle tube. They come in the carbine kits but I did not see one in the picture of the tube. It seems every part in the rifle buffer needs to be ordered separately and having no experience with this type of ar It gets a little confusing.
  21. I didn't get a gun but I got a upper to go with a lower I already had so eventually it will be a gun.
  22. I'm glad I'm not the only one with that problem but I thought it had always been like that. I have always had to crank up the volume and still have trouble at times.
  23.   I have found that brakes on one axle works and stops fine but on two axles they get real touchy and are not as smooth stopping. A good controller may take care of that, I don't know. My controller is not the cheapest one but it's not as good as the one mentioned above.   If you get one built I would see about getting it primed before paint. Most are painted over bare steel and comes off over time.
  24. What a great story. You are right, it should never take this much.
  25. Discount Tire is the only place I ever bought tires from that got the blue coating off the tires and cleaned them up. I hate cleaning off that coating on new tires. Sometimes the little things go a long way and the price was good. I'll definitely go back.
