  1. Urse, I'm not ready to sell it yet. Right now the only that looks like it might solid enough for a red dot is the Ultimak so I'll think about that unless someone else comes up with a better idea.
  2. I have a wasr10 underfolder and with my old eyes and bifocals I have trouble focusing on the front sight. I have decided this is because the wide stock keeps me from getting my bifocals lined up to where I can focus on the front sight. Does this make any sense? If I fold the stock out of the way I can focus just fine. Can this rifle be converted to a wood or collapsible type stock without a lot of work? I think this might give me enough room to get my head over like I need it to be to see the sight since I do not have this problem with any other rifle. Another solution may be a red dot but what is the best way to mount it. I see a lot of mounts out there but the only one that looks solid enough is the side of receiver mount but mine does not have the rail to put the mount on. Anyone use any of the other mounts and would recommend them? Are there any other solutions I have not thought about?
  3. Never had that problem or any problem with my .40c. It's a great gun.

    My Birthday Toy

Great wife!!! You better keep her. I have been married to the same woman for 28 years and only got one firearm from her.
  5. Another vote for Parkway Gun. Good prices and people. andersmp mentioned the Great Outdoor Store and I have also bought from them and have no complaints there either.
  6. Thanks Rabbi, are the schematics accurate? If so that one will not work. One end on mine is threaded and screws in. when it is in you then line up the other hole and put a screw in it. I'll call and see if they can tell me.
  7. Where can I find a trigger guard for a Stevens 530A double barrel 16ga? This is a old gun (somewhere around 1950) and I don't know where to start looking. The threaded end at the front of the guard is broke off in the gun. possible to get one repaired?
  8. This happened to my son who was shooting reloads in my .357. This is one thing I never went over him with and if it had not still been part way in the cylinder which kept it from turning I feel like he would have shot it again. That scared me enough that I took the time right then to talk to him about that. I could not believe that I had neglected something like that and he could have been hurt because I did not do that. I know its hard to think of all the little things that could happen that rarely ever does but this really got me thinking about other things that I may have not told him.
  9. Welcome.
  10. Welcome. I keep a boat in Henry county and spend a lot of time there. I wish I lived there.
  11. How about a olive green grip with a blued slide? Parkway gun and pawn in Jackson has one and a black one for $259
  12. I just cannot understand how he keeps getting reelected. Can someone from that area explain it to me?
  13. Pay to park as close to the track as possible. Across the road is great. Stay out of lots that will get you blocked in. Be on your way out of the stands when the checker flies and move! Dont waste time getting out. If you cannot do this take a grill and chairs and cook after the race while every one else is sitting in traffic. Or better yet cook before the race, eat, and take left overs inside with you. Pay attention to the cooler and bag rules. +1 on the ear protection. Bristol is the loudest track I have ever been to and I have been to several. I think its the loudest track in the world. Bristol: The only track left in NASCAR where they actually still race.
  14. Welcome!
  15. Welcome!
  16. I like the black stainless and the trigger is way better on the M&P and I guess just the over all fit and finish. Not that there is anything wrong with the PT145. I would not be afraid to carry it. It's a great gun but there is a reason one costs more than the other. That is just my opinion.
  17. I have a PT145 Mil Pro. It runs like clock work and fits my hand just right. The trigger is the only thing I have against it but I did get used to it. It's never given me any problems. If I did not have a S&W M&P40C the PT145 would be my main carry gun.
  18. Great stuff but sad and so true.
  19. I also carry the 40c and love it. I don't think you can go wrong with it. Does S&W still have the rebate on these???
  20. It's great to read a positive story like this. I think a lot of people are tired of the crime and are slowly coming around. Maybe not arm them selves in all cases but they respect peoples decision and right to protect them selves.
