I went to a new gun shop this morning, an advertiser on this site who I visited because of the ad on TGO. Looking around and a double barrel steel shotgun caught my eye and I asked if I could see it. He said Sure I just need to see your drivers license, I assumed to make sure I was a legal resident, I also showed my HCP but he wasn't interested in this. While I was looking at the shotgun and about to say "Looks good I'll take it", I look up and see the person was scanning my DL, I asked why and he said "Store Policy, we have had some situations" He gave me my drivers license back and I did not buy the shotgun. Just saying, it pisses me off they scanned my DL with no justification. if I had bought a firearm they would have had all that info anyway. Maybe I'm being unreasonable but I won't visit that store again.

My wife has collected 9 horses, she has never said a word about me bring home a new gun, so far 5 1911s vs 9 eating pooping pasture decorations I think I'm ahead.

You won't go wrong with a Glock, I have a 19 and a 26 but rarely carry them, for some reason I always reach for my Kahr PM9 in 9mm or my 3" 1911 or XDs in .45.
-
+1 on the PM9, had a LC9 and a nano before. Trigger is still a bit long for me but the best of the small 9mm strikers IMHO, I like the 3" 1911, kimber or SA but the XDs is nice and thin too, if you don't mind .45. XDs is like a skinny Glock 26 in .45

Nice brookie! I haven't fished the Caney enough this year. I may need to offload some guns and get a boat, a riverhawk or gheenoe.

Sweet, I need to get a set for my XD-s too. Love'em on my G19
I out talon grips on mine. Felt great
Thanks, I didn't know about those, just ordered one. Are those the Granulate Texture or Rubber Texture on yours ?
-
You sure feel the waffle iron grips after a few mags. I think a slipon hogue is in order.
-
That is sweet, the one thing I didn't like about my LC9 was the trigger, I wish I had held on to it long enough to try some of the aftermarket parts, mainly the trigger and stainless guide rod. I had the pinky extensions on my mags, made it slightly less concealable but more comfortable to shoot. I traded it for a G26 it is still my favorite, even with a 15 round G19 mag. Most importantly I can hit stuff with it. Hope I can say the same for the XDs, waiting on daylight
-
I just picked my XDs up this afternoon, two less rounds than my Kimber UC2 or my PM9 but it feels nice. I'll take it out in the back yard tomorrow morning after the kids have gone to school and put a few through it.

Puppy Shot And Killed For Wandering Into Neighbor's Yard

Get him a tramp stamp for his jail buddies -
I had a modded MkIII that I loved, it was a pain until I found the magic formula via YouTube. You flip it upside down while assembling the mainspring so the little dingleberry that hangs down falls into place. That said I do miss my MKIII but my mosquito is so much easier to clean.

It may be a time to see if fiber optic sights can be installed if these go back to UAE for repairs.

Caster I agree, what worries me more is "armed drunks" but again I'm off topic. -
Question about DUI Conviction and HCP
red dirt replied to pegasusrider's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
A bit off topic but once while entering Canada I was asked if I had ever had a DUI, it appears they can deny entry based on that. -

maybe I'll see you there, looking for a good CRT TV. -
Shiner, Dundee, Yuengling, Harpoon and Sam Adams all have nice Octoberfests, I like to mix it up. Enjoying a Dundee after a day at the barn now.
-
Agree, I worry more about what I come home to than what I'll run into out in public. My biggest problem is choosing 9mm or .45. Some days its both
-
I've been through all the stages of beer snobbery. IPAs and hoppy beers are not my thing. I've been enjoying the Octoberfest offerings lately, after that's gone it'll be back to yazoo Dos Perros and moosehead.
