November 22, 1963, That's the day everybody is supposed to remember where they was. I was working in a school book depository in Dallas Texas. Halton Mifflin had just come out with that new math and they had them real thick math books; It's hard to pick them math book boxes up by yourself and I told them Ya'll gotta get somebody in here to help me with them boxes. They hired a fella named Harvey, something. I can't think of his name. Anyway, he'd been in the Marine Corp and I of course in the Navy for five years and he kept braggin about what great shot your Marine Corp was as opposed to your Naval forces. I said "I tell you what you little pinko commie bastard, this afternoon at lunch I want you go back to your boarding house and bring back your rifle. I got two tickets to the Texas theater says you can't hit that manhole cover down there by that grassy knoll. You know he cracked off four shots, DAMN if the president of the United States didn't happen to drive by at that exact moment. We felt bad about that. Tim WIlson, Uncle BS.

I got a manky ole hat and some bits of paper you can borrow.

Future lesson of whats to come to us from Canada
Caster replied to jcoosi's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Two words; HOME SCHOOL I know it's a burden to a lot of families but you family men need to get the government out of your family lives at all costs. I wonder if all you fathers out there really know whst your little ones are bing indoctrinated with every day. You may be raising numbers for the enemy and not even know it. -
Not no but heck no. Roller lockers use a fluted chamber to aid extraction. It mangles brass. They are not well suited for reloaders. Much more costly to feed. They don't have a gas system, which might seem like a good thing, but they have a really strange recoil impulse. And mine was the most belligerently loud SOB that ever was. I hated mine. If this was me, I'd walk away.
-
I've seen them. They usually run $20 per round....and up. Pin fire cannot be reloaded by the normal human being, if at all. You should try to find the main visual pcs that are missing, build a nice velvet lined shadow box and hang that sucker on the wall of your man cave. Ever hearing it go bang is pretty much a pipe dream......and a heart breaker. That pistol was made by people who cared not for the money but the craft. Something that is all but dead these days.

Don't be sorry. I've learned what the old farts were sayin when I was a kid. I'm not cool or good lookin any more, never really was but my house is paid for, my '07 Toyota is paid for, all my guns and other toys are paid for and I don't give two wags of a ratz azz what other people think of me. I've been married to the same woman for over a decade and known her since second grade. She ain't leavin and she ain't gettin rid of me easily, what the heck do I care what I look like or if I'm hip or not? For the most part I eat what and when I want, go when and where I want...do as I please. It's actually stress relieving if you think about it.

The neighbors little girl calls me sir, I'm younger than her father. I get the 'sir' thing a lot here lately. There was a time it woulda bothered me, now I embrace it. I've decided not to be a Clingon and wash my hands of youth. My wife says I already have the heart and soul of a grouchy ole bastard. May as well have the wrinkles and arthritis too. Ohh wait, got those already too!

I suppose I would be a coward if I didn't concede that it is possible, however unlikely, that there exists a paradigm in which I am old, out of touch and just can't keep up any more. I am after all a possible future member of the falling club. Everything I have is falling out, falling down or falling off. LOL.

A super 14 in .223 is extremely accurate.....but they have a very serious bark. Whew!

I like that!! I had a couple PA63's and they were very comfortable. Yours is nicer without the obscure nonsense of the 9x18. Very nice indeed.

It's getting that time of year. Wanna show your decorations?
Caster replied to mav's topic in General Chat
No decorations here. The morning of the 25th, "Happy birthday Jesus, I appreciate that you died to save an undeserving and ungrateful race of people, love you!" Then, carry on like any other day because that's all it is. Me and wife usually go to the movies and try to find someplace open to eat. -
We now have a 55" Samsung LED. Before we had a Zenith Plasma and this LED is much better. For one, it doesn't get anywhere NEAR as hot.
-
If it were up to me I'd bring it up to Greenbrier, set it on the counter and start looking for my next Glock, but being as the wife bought it, I imagine that's NOT gonna happen. LOL Honestly, right this moment, I'd rather forcibly insert it into Sonys collective rectum.

Well, this was a major disappointment. This thing is an overly complicated piece of śhît. Load times are incredibly long. The controls are piss poorly laid out. Nothing is self explanatory, although I am admittedly spoiled being a Mac user with the whole simplicity thing. I suppose if I were a PC person I'd understand how to use an un-necessarily intricate machine. The makers SAID the upgrade download available online was supposed to support 3d bluray. It don't. Not that I care. I can't see 3d anything. The game Call of Duty Ghosts blows. The first few minutes of the actually game is kinda cool but gets old quick. The online play is so bad, I can only sum it up with a string of swear words that will get me banned from this site. The designers tried too hard and in so doing, failed miserably. The old Xbox 360 would run circles around this turd. Thank God Best Buy accepts returns. I want my money back.....although I may flip it for a profit on Craigslist. Lol! While I'm ranting, why the F is it the "better" technology gets, the worse it works. I miss VHS and cartridge games. The video and audio quality is truly amazing these days. The picture quality from my Samsung HD LED tv is far more than I would have ever thought possible but I'm disgusted by what you have to give up in return. Turn it on and wait. Put in a disk and wait. Push play...wait. Can't fast forward here or there. Wait. The older I get the more everyone should be glad no one offers me "The Button". I swear to God Almighty I'd push it, even if that meant no more TGO. I'd be sad but sacrifices ........LOL OKAY, beer time. Rant off.

TN Parent Arrested Trying to Pick Up His Own Kids
Caster replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Good thing I don't have kids. This is just another reason I refuse to have em. Rules or no rules, those are HIS kids. If he wants em, he should have them. He shoulda ripped that fat ass rednecks throat out. Never come In between people and their children. I'm a cop lover and take up for them time and time again. We also don't need another stupid cop bashing thread but this resource officer needs his ass stomped. Not reprimanded...physical bludgeoning. I hope the guy wins a lawsuit large enough to put his kids through 4 years of Vanderbilt; room board books and tuition. -
Why in the world would he wanna trade down?

Once that surplus 5.45 dries up, that caliber will be unobtainium. Gets caliber...if you can buy enough to cover you for a loooong time. If you're considering a 223 AK consider a Saiga. A Galil would be great, so long as Century's monkeys didn't screw it up.

I played COD Ghost till late last night. Awesome!!!

You know, you don't have to like someone to agree with something they say or do. I dont like satan but when he shoves a pineapple up Hitlers ass, I will agree with him on the decision. This wasn't a praise wahlberg thread.

I'm looking at the thing, the wife just got home with it. Ain't opened it yet, probably fool with it tonight. Laugh if you like, but I'm more excited about getting a new blue ray player than anything. This Samsung I have now, sucks!!! I ain't played in a while, not since Xbox 360 come out. We should start a TGO clan????

Not to be purposefully argumentative but I'd take an MP-5 over all those. I've shot a Thompson quite a bit. It's fairly controllable but heavy and overly complicated to machine and I've always hated how the magazines swap out.
