Took some time this afternoon to store some IMR 4198
Caster replied to Jason in TN's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I load for my best friends guide gun. It's a .450 Marlin. It's a real shooter. Very accurate. Y'all can have them things. No danger of me ever having one. I'm just getting over a a shoulder injury and I ain't the least bit interested. Lol -

I get asked from time to time how I store powder. In my usual smart ass fashion, my response is always; I prefer to store mine pre-measured in little brass tubes. Good looking boolits by the way. -
I understand the frustration but if he paid for them, they're his to do with as he pleases. If that doesn't sit well with you, vote with your wallet and trade elsewhere. You cannot make a living playing favorites, not for long anyway. That sort of thing will get around and his business will suffer for it.

3 targets, 18 rounds, 2 mag changes in 4.79 seconds.

A factory Glock 17 will do that with NO mag changes. -
I've tried many batteries over the years. The only one I swear by is optima. Lord Jesus they're rough on the wallet! They last though. The first red top optima I ever bought lasted over seven years. I left it in the vehicle when I sold it. It was still hot as a firecracker. I got a steal on a deep cycle marine Optima and that's what's in my Toyota right now.

See my wife hates revolvers. All of them. Tried pursuade her once......started a butt chewing I could have done without. Shoulda known better. Ever the stupid one, I pushed her to shoot with me regularly. She got burned out and hasn't been to the range in years for any kind casual shooting. Once or twice a year she will go to a private range to blow the dust out of her carry pistol. She always hits her mark with remarkable accuracy. Her thoughts on that?........"See there, it still works and so do I. No reason to burn a bunch of ammo I might need for zombies or hippies one day. "

Worst thing you'll ever do is force something on her. If she likes revolvers, run with it. Do what you do and do it well. Here, show her this video and tell her a revolver in the hands of a Jedi Master is as good as ANY semi auto ever made. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lLk1v5bSFPw

^^^ See there!

Why not support the people who support us? I'm sure there's a vendor sponsor that can make you a good deal somewhere within driving distance.

F martin luther king. Imma start taking the day off for Eugene Stoner day. The man has done more for me and my freedoms and the things that make me happy than kings wonderful dream. Maybe I'll start taking the day off for David Mosley day too for providing the materials i use to prepare the means to protect that freedom.

Ain't started trouble in a while and today seems like a good day fer it, so....... Me and a customer was talking today. I mentioned I needed to check the mail, he says no mail today. Huh? Why? OHH! I didn't know. So obviously, two rednecks talking; Why is a day like this acceptable but if you were to even insinuate something white RACIST!!! Hypocritical bastages.

Always wondered what a 458 SOCOM would do to the fat ass blubber of a hippy.

I worry more about zombies than nuclear explosions. I don't have the money or resources to build anything close to what it would take to survive one. I have a some NBC gear to wear for fall out, but other than that..mehh. I'm through worrying about things I am powerless to deal with. Is this concerning, hells yes. Terrifying? Not me.

Looks great The one bad thing about taking such impressive photos is, now I can see where your wrench slipped on the muzzle break. Lol, You need get a sharpie after that.

659 S&W built like a tank! I've been lusting for one for a while now. Managed to get my paws on a 4006 but the 9 has been elusive. I'm with unclejak all the way on that one. Older generation Smiths.
-
That's awesome. I bet you a dollar it's fitted and finished better than 98% of revolvers made today.
-
Colt was loathe to put a competitors name on their guns. They made LOTS of guns chambered in 32 S&W long but none were labeled as such. They'd give it a fancy whizz bang name to keep from advertising a rival company. Kinda silly and petty but hey, it's Colt.
-
38 S&W is a totally different animal. Google British .380/200 As far as the serial numbers....just type them in here. http://www.coltsmfg.com/customerservices/serialnumberlookup.aspx Let us know, I'm betting its much older than the '60's. That gun needs a little velvet lined box sitting on the coffee table!!!

Partner in local gun shop indicted fraud, smuggling and conspiracy

Or some hardcore narcotic. He could get out of this one easier than a firearm charge or getting caught running meth. It's not like his infraction is really destroying lives like a dope dealer. -
https://www.buffaloarms.com/Black_Powder_Shotgun_Ammo_pr-4273.aspx If the shotgun is in good tight order, buy you some proper blackpowder loads (or roll your own) and shoot the tar out of it. Clean it like a muzzle loader and enjoy the old gal for what she is. MANY a meal has been put on the table from a blackpowder loaded 12g shot shell. Buffalo Arms has them for $25 per box of 25. Maybe a little pricey but not really in scheme of things. I mean, ar you really gonna shoot a flat of them at skeet? No, probably not.

Ooooooo, lets give him a black dodge SUV to drive.............. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxm7uk7I07w

I say give him stuff back and let him try. Preferably during a live fire training exercise. Lets see how motivated he is when they are on equal ground.

Screw 'em. They're doing a service by disinfecting. Like the enemy shows us the same respect. Drop a match to the whole country for all I care.
